fun fact, canonically scootaloo cant and wont learn to fly because her wings are underdeveloped, aka she canonically is disabled. In the last season the cmc all become grown-ups for an episode and her wings never grow past the size they had when she was a kid, it gets even more confirmed during the epilogue of the show which happens many years in the future and her wings still didnt grow

The show really handled the cmc episodes well. This did a good job making them cute, relatable, and not annoying. Many of my favorite episodes are cmc focused

Applejack and Pinkie are also the only ones that have multiple siblings. Applejack with Apple Bloom and Big Mackintosh, and Pinkie with Maud, Marble, and Limestone (though, in my memory, I only remember there being two, but I guess there was a third sister).

Rainbow Dash im pretty sure is the only one in the main 6 without a logical sibling.
Fluttershy’s sibling is only mentioned (i think?) and shown later on, but she does have one
Pinkie and Apple Jack are the only two out of the 6 with more then 1 sibling.
Twilight has Shining Armour, and i’ll be honest I just thought it was an adoptive sibling thing when I first saw it 😂
and Rarity has Sweetie Bell :3

What happened to Twist though 😭 It's so sad how Apple Bloom kinda discarded her just because she got her cutie mark. Also, I feel like she was the stereotypical "nerd who has no actual friends" trope and that hurt my heart. Hopefully she finds her pack in another season.

I really like the lesson in a dog and pony show. Because it isn't a lesson it's a statement. You know how common in media especially kids cartoons where a female character is either a generic damsel in distress where their entire personality is being the pretty girl that the protagonist has to save or earn the heart of. And then on the other end you have ones where it's just a girl being as masculine as possible to show that they are independent which gives a false narrative that if you're a girl and wanna be able to hold your own that you can't be yourself and you have to be as masculine as you can when that's just not true. Rarity is honestly one of the greatest examples of a extremely feminine character who is more than just independent but is a leader and as tough as nails. She's a queen and she's the type of person not just girls but everybody should strive to be. Because it's a universal lesson. You can still be amazing and strong while being yourself you don't need to change

I love what they end up doing with the cutiemark crusaders, but I'll always be a bit upset they abandoned their original talents. Appleblooms craftiness, Scootaloos stunting, and Sweetie Belles singing. Them helping others with their cutiemarks could have just been their club/job on the side instead of their special talent.
