It was meant to be fast and frantic, but I wanted to add some more meat onto the bone to beef it up. Here's my fully fleshed out rendition to give this kinetic boss theme a bit more muscle.

In my 36 years of life this is easily one of the best remixes I have ever heard
You are amazing man listen to a lot of your tracks. I pretty much understood a lot of what made these game tracks and composers great and us some far more than what I expected.

I don't know why I dislike remixes with expansions, except when it's official, or when compossed by the original compositor. I think it's because feels out of place, like they added notes that aren't in the original or don't sound like the original. But I'm also hypocritical when I hear Touhou fan music, because they tend to add stuff that aren't in the original themes.
PD: I'm not a composer, nor have knowledge about music theory.

Love this! My one gripe about Terrible Beat is that it was to short and this not only fixed the issue, it sounds like it belongs in the original game. It’s perfect. You nailed this. Thanks for the awesome work.

Amazing! Loved the expanded bits. Also, to this day, I still don't know how SEGA didn't get sued for having the Terminator, Spiderman, Batman and Godzilla in this game.
Good luck with getting copyright laws upheld internationally let alone have their own government punish them for doing something they themselves didn't consider wrong at the time. Although knowing Joe Musashi is a bigger badass than all of them combined still makes me grin to this day.
They managed to keep Terminator, but in later revisions Spiderman was made pink, Batman was changed to a bat demon, and Godzilla was changed to be a skeleton with guts for some reason.

Was waiting patiently for this one and it's finally here. I knew this was going to be fire as soon as it started and I wasn't wrong. I loved how you continued with the fast pace energy of the beat and didn't stray too far from the original, using the original instruments mainly. Really feels like something that would come out of a remake of this game, I especially like how you added more buildup in the beginning, and the expansions were a great way to keep the fast pace going. I also like how you mostly used only instruments from the OG theme. And as always it sounds so clean...

I don't know how I missed this, but I'm glad I came back to check it out before I listen to Willow's theme (you know who I mean);Terrible Beat is probably my favorite track of this whole game, and so to hear it remixed, expanded, and enhanced in such a fantastic way is a dream come true; it is a shame that the original was so short
While the original Terrible Beat is the kind of song you'd hear as the intro to a TV program, I'd imagine this to be like the "full version" - there's a lot more than just what the mainstream public knows by heart, and even though we may not know all the lyrics outside of the chorus, it is such a fantastic tune that you can't NOT dance to it
I think I can really imagine this version of Terrible Beat in a remastered version of Revenge of Shinobi where the bosses themselves are remixed from their simple attack patterns and given extra abilities or a brand new phase to fit in with the newest era of indie revisits to classic games a-la Sonic Mania
The very beginning of the expanded portion was probably my favorite original part of the composition, as it just transitioned away from the fast-paced original so seamlessly... oooh, I love this track
Thanks again! For this one, I didn't want to hit the ground running like the original did, so I tried to imagine what an extended mix might sound like if it ever existed. From there, it was just a simple move to create a buildup to the chorus. Secretly, I wanted people to wonder if it would still have the same impact when the original song kicked in. I wanted them to be nervous a bit.

Not really, no. At the time, they thought ripping off iconic characters was fine. Turns out, not so kosher. I base my music off the original 1.0 version of the game, but afterwards, there were several revisions to the game that changed a lot things, including these characters.
