Do you think Newcastle are already home & dry for this season's profit & sustainability rules? Or will they need to look at player sales or other revenue streams? Let us know in the comments!
Great work .. surprised the comments dont commend this effort more. Thank you
Cheers Shane - appreciate the comment!
What about the Adidas kit deal reported to be worth £30mil a season (Up from the £5mil from Castore) that is starting from June 2024? Surely that will help massively?
Will definitely help Scottio but not until the year after (Newcastle's financial year runs from 1 July-30 June so will have more finnacial impact in 24/25 season)
@@NumbersBehindtheNet Yeah that's what I was referring to, you say we need to find another £37million before the end of June, well the Adidas deal will take a big chunk of that surely.
based on them being the 24/25 kit partner - i would imagine more of that revenue coming the following year (it will likely be spread over the terms of the deal). it's also likely that newcastle have also secured or improved existing commercial deals with their champions league football that will help this year :)
👍
Thanks
No problem!
Your numbers are wrong, we had an operating loss after tax in 2021 of 12.2m, not a profit. Why do you account for amortisation in the loss for 2022 and 2023 but not 2021?
12.2m is the financial loss for FY21 (13.7m was the operating loss before interest & tax) - for Premier League "profit & sustainability" rules the club are allowed to adjust their losses exclude certain costs (e.g.youth development), for 2021 they are also allowed to adjust for estimated loss of revenue from covid. Transfer fee amortisation is included in all figures (both operating losses & PSR losses)

Wierd to make a video like this without doing the research past the 23 financial report, selectively mentioning the CL money but not mentioning the huge Adidas deal and countless extra sponsors that have come on board aswell as international friendlies and other events that have all been made very public and the lewis hall deal which has been completed ahead of this video being posted. there's so much info missing.
clickbait nonsense to save Toon fans the watch.
