Tiger Ace, thank you too! If you ever want to get your mind boggled, read how much the Soviets prepared for the Kursk Offensive -- on the defensive (and their later offensive). When I told an army colleague of mine (when I was in the Army), he simply didn't believe it. Thanks for your comment and watching!
@@EmersusTech model defense of Orel salient was also fascinating as well. In fact he did it better than Manstein, in terms of inflicting high casualties on Soviets when defending. I am also interested in the Soviet counterattacks at Kursk (operation Kutuzov and operation Polkovodets Rumyantsev). The fact that the Soviets were able to use their overwhelming numbers in men and material to their advantage was fascinating as well.
Advantage of interior line is also another interesting defense strategy.
