I'm ready to trade him to Pittsburgh for Henry Davis or Nick Gonzales. I think Riley Greene is more of the next Al Kaline and Torkelson is more of the next Norm Cash. I'll be rooting for both.
Avila and his Scouts are an abomination. They got lucky with Greene but the Tiger drafts of the past 5-6 years (always picking top 10) have been beyond horrible. Mize, Meadows, Manning, Faedo, Quintana, Dingler, Jobe, and the crown jewel "Tork". It's unfathomable that a GM could make this many bad picks. Add the crackerjack Free Agents he's signed, starting with Zimmerman, and you have the makings of a GM that seems to be working not for the Tigers but for the other Teams in the division. It's the reason we're a bottom 5 franchise now with a historically bad offense. Until Avila is gone, and it looks like Jr. Ilitch ain't gonna change anytime soon, we're dead. For an old geezer like me that saw the '68 Team, I believe I've seen my last .500 Tigers ball club. Awful sad, and awful infuriating.
