Part 3 of my 3 part adventure when I deep water drop on my latest Jetskifishing adventure. This hook up has me catching some of our most prized table fish for New Zealand.
I was fishing in 400 metres of depth, 50 kilometres from the mainland on my Sea-Doo FISHPRo Trophy.
The electric reel had an auxiliary power source for my Daiwa Tanacom 750

Nice catch!!! Question time....... How many drops do you reckon you'll get out of a charge from the battery on the electric reel? How'd you go with the fish in the bag? Most say you need to gut + gill, and then fill with ice for Bluenose and Hapuku. Logistically a challenge on the PWC plus tough to carry enough ice for that many large fish.

I had no signs that the battery was going flat, I would expect I would get a good dozen drops and it could cope with three or four loaded up retrieves without needing a recharge.
The fish were in my Ultimate Catch Bag which is insulated (it’s quality made, not a cheap and nasty thin bag) I had my fish on saltice within 3 hours of being caught and they were pristine condition for when I steaked them the following day, was very tasty!

Nice vid but I notice your ski sits a lot lower in the water than mine does with a lot of water overflowing …Surly you’re not that heavily loaded up . Steve

I was pretty heavy loaded, there was already 50 pound of fish and ice in the cooler, plus the load of the fish being pulled up on the line and my fishing gear.
With all this extra weight and the occasional splash of water into the footwells it was still safely manageable 👍

Off the Texas and Florida gulf coast you would have to travel 100+ miles just to find water that deep. How many miles do you have to travel to find water that deep??

This was 6 hours drive in my car to the destination and a further 35 miles ride on the water, not something I would do everyday for my adventures 😂

I’ve explained before the environment is very harsh and challenging to set up a mic, it’s pretty fortunate I go to the trouble to share the catches here when I could just go fishing. I think you have said enough times your two cents worth about a mic, you are welcome to unsubscribe if you don’t appreciate the content. There is plenty of good videos amongst the 200 odd I’ve posted and most people really appreciate them, seems to be only negative comments from you…
