It's pretty good, I lost my iPhone 8 and bought this as a quick replacement, I was planning on getting another iPhone but was pleasantly surprised by how good this budget phone is, I think I will keep it and save some bucks but I hope it doesn't slow down too much as time goes

@@SaadKhan-rg4eh I used this phone for a week and its been doing very well unless you have poor internet connection. I can't say the camera is too good though. The touch screen is smooth. The keyboard doesn't delay when you type. Overall, it is an average phone. Plus, it depends on how you use it. If you download games every single day, that will obviously slow down the phone.

@@SaadKhan-rg4eh I downloaded 'Dragon Raja' and it was actually better than I thought. The controls don't lag. The graphics are honestly better than the camera and it is a device the game is playable on.
my iPhone 7 broke recently so I got a a02s and this is surprisingly really good. great battery life unlike the iPhone , love how you can customize many things, camera is decent, etc.
My iPhone X screen stopped working and it wasn't even cracked so I'm using the a02s and I agree think I could stick with it for a year maybe
and always check the software update to have the lastest firmware of your phone release by the samsung...and take care of the (device care app) dedicated of all samsung phone in settings to scan it completely...I love samsung phones..tnks🥇💜

Basically the entry level processor on this phone is significantly better than the A02 and the battery life is fantastic.
A friend of mine just bought the A02s at Walmart for $79! That's just crazy, and at that price, it's almost a no-brainer a usable and budget minded phone. We'll see how it works out, once he's had it for a while, but the price of admission was great. Thanks for the info in the review.

I had a LG Style 5 that quit working last week. I didn't want to spend a fortune so I went with the a02s. I'm very happy with it. I have always had a Samsung and I regret going with a LG.

Okay, maybe I missed it, but is the phone you're reviewing 32GB or 64GB? Because I have looked at multiple A02s listings, and some say 32GB and some say 64GB? Also, the ones that are 32GB memory have 2GB RAM, and the ones that have 64GB memory have 4GB RAM. The A02s models that have the 64GB/4GB RAM have an additional model code of A025M (see your own Amazon link for reference). So which A02s are you using for the review?

Phones pack lot of features but the one I need the most is a good basic phone function. That is clear and clean voice, good loud ring in an enclosed enviroment or out in the parking lot and a strong vibrating mode in case I couldn't heat the ring. So many times the calls come out breaking up or muddy, at times I didn't even know I have a call even turning the ring tone and vibration mode to maximum like in Costco or outside in a parking lot. With that said I got the Galaxy a02s because its cheap knowing a more expensive phone wouldn't provide me with a better phone function other than added features.
Do you know if there is a way to reduce the screen to avoid watching that drop where the frontal camera relies on? I find it bothering especially for watching videos, Instagram stories, taking selfies...

Hi everyone! I only just recently got the A02s and from my experience it IS the right option to go for. This is my personal opinion but honestly the A02 is quite slow and no matter how long you can have it for it will lag when scrolling on any app. The A02s definitely runs smoother and has better camera quality. It's actually quite surprising that the A02s is only $120 as it is a great phone with great qualities and storage :)

I remember just how fuzzy and muddy samsung(or really any company) budget phone cameras back in like 2017. We have gone a really long way.

Ikr? My J3 Emerge always has problems running CZcams and I always encounter a "CZcams's not responding" error at least once or twice a day

I bought this cause I have tablet and PC. So I only need the lowest phone for all uses as you stated. If I this was my only tool then I would get a A4O,50,70 series or an S20 series or notebook style phone and dump the rest!
Unless your a hi end user all the time! Why buy a loaded phone if you have other tools! It's so inexpensive you don't need insurance and if you break or loose it just replace it! I dislike phone case so this is a great option.
I love thid phone case, with the textured surface! Thus case is so easy to hold on too!
The only thing negative is the speaker location. When holding the phone my little finger always covers it case it holds the phone up when holding vertically.
Other than that if you can get a discount but it it does the job and you don't have all the worries of a expensive phone that you most likely really don't need the first place!
Just being able to get a usable samsung phone for around $100 bucks is great. Even if its a backup phone. I keep 2 phones at all times now so being able to buy something this cheap and reliable is great if I want. Currently I use the Samsung a32 5g as a second phone but would definitely consider this If I wanted something even cheaper.
Better than the A01 I have, for the only problem I have on this phone (mine) is the internal storage which is 16 instead of 32gb. But hey, you get what you buy.

I gave up smartphones year ago as I found them becoming a distraction. Now I am ready to try again, but need to learn all over again as smartphones have advanced a lot since I used one. I want and entry level phone, get back to learning and then if I want to upgrade I will, I found this video very informative and just about has sold me on getting started again with the A02s

I bought the the Samsung A02s and still re-leaning. If I conquer this phone i will probalbly upgrade. My only problem is learning how to delete the sites that come install automatically that are annoyng with constant notifications that is ii turn off the notification app i lose other needed apps notifications, which justifies why I stopped before using smartphones.

A02s is legit asf . I'm a hard-core gaming pc guy . Surprisingly the A02s can play all the mobile games I use too play on my pc via emulator bc my old phone couldn't run them lag free . A02s runs every game I've tried even pokemon unite at 60 fps its amazing . It runs as fast as Nintendo switch runs the same game . LOVE THIS PHONE !
Can it run asphalt 8 on high graphics smoothly ?
@@sharonreid7711 The A03s is out now and will last longer if your looking to buy cheap and good phone. I can't say about asphalt 8 bc I upgraded too galaxy s10 but I played cod mobile and alot of other games on my a02s never had an issue soo i assume the A03s will be just as good maybe better .

I just bought this phone today as my LG Stylo5 finally crashed and refused to work anymore. I've had this A02S for about 3 hours, and I'm not unhappy with it. It's uploading updates now, and I am looking forward to using it for basics: FB, youtube, pictures, texting, calling, etc.

those chipsets are comparable with the 02 using an atom chipset while the 02s using a celeron or pentium processor, they're both using low tier hardware to lower price point but the performance are vastly huge

Why didn't you mention it had 4k video recording. That's the trade off compared to the a12. Do you want the better camera of the a12 or the a02s 4k recording.

the regular a02 is just slow with normal tasks that it should have no problem with. Because of processing lag it ends up with a lot of mis clicks when trying to figure out why your screen froze (i’ve had it for 2 years). Battery life is good at the start however went down sharply but still decent. camera is bad (you would expect for an entry level phone) but compared to the latest generation budget phones it doesn’t compete even though its 2 years old only. The s version does seem like a better alternative.

It's an Amazing phone.
I'll Never Ever spend a fortune on any phone again. This phone does what the other outrageously priced ones do, and the camera and video is really impressive. Even a very closeup shot is crystal clear. Crystal clear zoom with the video too.
All the money I saved can go to much better use. I highly recommend the A02s

I am still in the old days, still rocking the A5(2016) with android 10 and it is probably better than at least the A02 and more beautiful than the newer a devices in general. Had the A50, decided to return to this.
How did u get android 10 on the A5??
Lineage os has an official port for this and a fast 256 gb card to have more storage. It ain't great, but I would rather have this than the newer a devices.

Ok, I have a question on the Samsung Galaxy A02s. First off, I am not the most tech savvy guy (I'm 62) buy I'm not afraid to learn new things. Last year around Christmas, I decided to get rid of my "old" LG phone (over 7 years old) and get this Samsung Galaxy a02s. My question is this: lets say I stepped away from my phone or shut it off for a while and a message was left on it. Is there any icon or a visual notification left on the screen when I open it back up that a message is waiting for me to listen to it? My old LG phone had an icon which would be visible. Also, they apparently offer a feature called Visual Voicemail. I've started to read about it. Is there a cost? Should I get this? To be honest, I don't get a lot of messages but I would like to know when one was left if I didn't have my phone near me. Any help would be appreciated.
This phone is excellent for the money! Got mine on cricket for 70 bucks new. The battery lasts forever and the big display looks great

I lucked out and got my AO2S on sale for $45 if I bought a $35 Boost card. The limited data didn't bother me because I have Wi-Fi and I don't use much internet if I leave home. It has no option for a $50 unlimited card. From Boost at least

I have a02s and a11 and some review sites say a11 is better,But I think a02s is better minus finger print scanner a11, they both 2gig ram a02s has features that i like its better to me than a11 Hope it gets software 12 update still on 11👍🏼good side by side review
I charge my AO2S to 100% and put on audiobooks at night with the brightness to 0, close every other app. The lowest my phone got was to 60% after 8-10 hours strait. I've never paid over $60 for a phone. I got mine during a sale. A $110. AO2S was $45 w/a $35 Boost card.

You can purchase a phone with a Helio G25 or G30 or any SOC that can score up 100k on antutu.
3GB/4GB of RAM, 32GB or 64GB ROM.
5000mah battery, fingerprint scanner, bright 6.5+ displays HD LCD IPS displays and can play games like CODM and LOLWR on steady fps.
USB type C and all of this under $100 or lower.
Take a look at Techno 6Air and Infinix or even Cherry Mobile. They're useable devices, *VERY* capable for the price and can last long.

I was going to get the Samsung Galaxy a32 5G but when I saw this phone on sale for $150 in simple mobile the A02S, I was like oh okay maybe I'll get that one but as I was watching your video I got to the part where you said that the A02S does not have night mode which was disappointing because I was told by simple Mobile that the A02S does have night mode so now maybe I'm thinking about switching back to the Galaxy A32. but I'm still exploring my options
