Rest in piece, Smoochums. You were too good for this world. =(
Drustvar was such a great zone, so creepy and I liked every second!
Hands down my favorite zone in the expansion.
Definitely, and the dungeon is amazing as well
Waycrest Manor is creepy and amazing and I love it.
Nazmir is up there, too
Agreed
I love it. I wish it had a more central theme. Thros would be a good bridge between BfA and Shadowlands
13:16 *teleports behind you*
"Nothing personal, kid" lmfaoooo
I loved this questline. It is creepy as hell, and to be honest: you kind of expect how it goes rather early.
But still, it fits the zone really well. Creepy as hell, dark... just like Waycrest manor as an instance, it is really done well, the creepy old haunted house, with the sound design, the boss design and so on. I also love how you have to go different routes inside the mansion depending on what doors are open. So far my favourite instance in this expension, and that is saying something, because I think we have several good instances...
It still cracks me up when Lucille asks who's the best soldier for a special job, and Marshal Everit says "Clearwater is our best, and most trusted!"
Then you immediately exit the building, and Clearwater is out there "like hey, I need your help with my mission." What the fuck. I thought you were the best? All that bravado and I still have you disengage with the main group to carry you through this side quest? And then you get promoted at the end of all of it? The heck did you! I did all the work!!!
It's more of a funny oversight than a frustration, but it still gets me everytime I see it.
I feel like these "Bloodthirsty savages" had this sort of conversation the night after they saw the first ship arrive:
"Should we be nice to them?"
"Well, they have more advanced technology, a limitless supply of reinforcements, greater connections to geopolitics, and money."
"But surely they'll see that we can work together better and create a happy space for both of our groups to live in peace!"
"We have a natural resource they want."
"Right, we're screwed, I'll get the murder hammer, you get the face-peeler."
when i saw that little girl singing "our poor little-" i immediately said to myself "yep, she is dead, and she gonna try to kill me after this quest"
2:30 Nobbel talking about the Shadowlands before any of us even know wtf they were. Love it.
Drustvar is like a Sleepy Hollow of Wow. It has this Tim Burton vibes that i like very much :D
I saw the creepy singing girl, I knew what was coming, I still followed her. I don't need sleep. *I REALLY REALLY DON'T*
DITTO!
Drustvar reminded me heavily on the Reach in Skyrim with their witches, the drust and overall the landscape
Oh my! You actually did it! Woohoo Drustvar!
Edit: oooooohhhh my goodness. I get goose bumbs seeing all the wicker constructs and aesthetics, a true sense of dread at that bloody child, and such an awe at the idea of this forest witch coven, these rituals to primordial forces of life and death beyond our comprehension. Oh this, this is the true spirit of Druidism to me, the one that speaks the most to me.
Let it be known that Blizz's take on the concept has been charming and to my liking all the way back the Night Elves were introduced in WC3, but this right here is like what I've always wanted to witness without even realising.
And Marshal's death... when I first saw that cinematic, I didn't really care because I had no idea what was going on, but after seeing this people try to rebuild the Order of Embers and rise like this for the land they've called home for so long, it was... amazing. Oh, thank you for this.
Best zone in the game!!! And the little girl was the highlight. Legit after I did that quest for the first time I smiled and was like 'oh this'll be a great zone'
With the drust influence seen in Ardenweald I think it's pretty much guaranteed that the blighted lands are somehow linked to the shadowlands
If I remember corrrectly Thros/the blighted lands are a realm of the shadowlands, we only see the 5 main realms (Bastion, Maldraxus, Ardenweald, Revendreth and the Maw). It was told that the shadowlands have multiple realms, representing some of each races of the universe vision of the underworld.
While I preffered the overall horde story (failing to stop the release of an "old god" just felt way more epic than the proudmore family drama) this was the best of all 6 zones.
Ooh ooh! Could the Blighted lands be the antithesis of the Emerald dream? They are on opposite sides of the Warcraft power diagram!
Actually not a bad idea!
meaning they could be a part of the Shadowlands which is the the name on the diagram for the opposite of the Emerald Dream ... its possible, with all the Death things going on this expansion I would not be surprised.
So consistent with uploads
Drustvar was the best Fable game since Fable 2.
Fable 2 was the best anime.
3rd only to Cory In Da House and Boku No Pico
That creepy girl. Chills
Her rhymes are dope.
Awe! What a little sweetheart! [My main is a Warlock.]
That creepy child quest gives me some serious Saladfingers vibes
I loved the atmosphere of this zone
The Abby Lewis questline is so far the only set of quests that creeped me out.
I'm guessing that the Drust were a tribe of Vrykul.
Technically so were the Kul Tirians.
It has since been confirmed that yes they were a tribe of vrykul that tapped into different magics and such
Awwwww yeah! Let the spooks cometh. Absolutely adored this zone and can't wait to eventually do it again on my druid.
my favourite zone so far, Drustvar is so well done
My favourite zone bruh
It wasn't for me until I finished it but yeah it's amazing. I guess because I hated Crimson Forest so much that it hindered my opinion of it. Though when I was done with this zone, I missed it.
Drustvar is the best, it has a bloodblorne feeling to it
Looking forward to seeing Waycrest Manor from Alliance side. Horde side is more or less "Big house, must have loot". Though one of my favourite parts happens after you kill Lord and Lady Waycrest as Horde and the Inquisitors arrive and are like "Who the fuck are these guys?"
This was the coolest questline.
"We have found the secret, fire kills them" really now, I thought it might heal them...
Drustvar Reminded Me Of "The Sleepy Hollow" Movie, The Whole Feel Of The Zone Is Creepy As Fuck Just Like In The Movie.
Also Drust Magic Is The Opposite Of Druid Magic As The Blighted Lands Are Located Opposite To The Emerald Dream In The Warcraft Chronicals
God damn it, that little girl. The quest is available for Horde too, and oh my god.
That little girl is really creapy !! 4:00 ....
Such a cool zone.
This is the best tea party ever!
All the Voice actors did a pretty great job. "Such insolence! Wait till your father hears of this >:( "
I was able to do the creepy girl quest as Horde while exploring around.
Of course I did it but goddam creepy girl is creepy
the story here is sooo good. the ending twist though
I would add Drustvar is a lot like what Lordaeron must have been like in the days after Arthas killed his father. Just replace the Thorn/Wicker creatures with the undead and Coven Witches with Necromancers.
I really can't blame the Drust for trying to kick them out. Historically speaking, when a bunch of white people show up on your land, call you 'barbarians' and say they're moving in, it tends to go pretty badly, especially if you try to treat them peacefully or with kindness first.
Yea, we're back in Kul Tiras again!
Best questing area in Kul Tiras.
drustvar is very New England Salemish/Sleepy hollow vibe its very cool
Bloodborne vibe somewhat
hands down love drustvar and the dungeon within it also
A great zone! Had tons of fun playing through it
Drustvar is my favorite Alliance zone, it's absolutely creepily beautiful but alas it misses a Hot Topic
That was my favorite quest and story zone in BFA
Best zone in game!
DAM! I WAS WAITING FOR THIS!
Love The Crucible reference with Abby 🎃
Basically house waycrest is just house barov 2.0 electric boogaloo
When I got here to this zone, I never got the Little girl questline.
I love Inquisitor Mace, she is so badass 😍😍
Honestly the best zone storywise. The actual zone itself is kinda meh for me, but then again I think voldun looks amazing so my opinion is probably invalid to most of you
I have a theory that the Drust were one of the original human tribes that evolved from the vrykul, similar to the Arathi except much older. Where as most tribes stayed in what would later be known as the Eastern Kingdoms, the Drust traveled further southwest and settled in what became Kul Tiras. Then the Sundering happened and the Drust got isolated and lost all contact with the tribes on the mainland that would later unite into the Arathor Empire.
I still have no clue when and how the Drust learned druidism. I doubt they had any contact with the night elves, neither before or after the Sundering, or trolls for that matter. The most likely source is the Blighted Lands, which could be linked to both the Emerald Dream and the Shadowlands.
Kul Tiras, the most powerful Marinetime Kingdom in de world!
I have nothing personally against the Horde, but the Kul Tiras fleet has been part of the lore for a long, long time and has been an established part of it, while the Zandalari Fleet is only a recent addition, so no matter how you look at it, Kul Tiras is THE Maritime kingdom.
So I totally agree.
Good man, a concise and logical argument, well said! I was just taking the piss out of the poor Dutchman's mispronunciation of 'Maritime'
It seems that Little Girl was dead a long time ago... I'm scared.
Do zuldazar next!!
I wpuldnt be surprised if the little girl character was based of the horrible witch legend of Abigail Williams amongst other witch stories of Salem Massachusetts
Fav zone 10000000000%
Oh i missed that Quest! Where does it start?
i've got a challenge for you!
Within the Silverpine Forest, at the sepulcher lies the grave of Yuriv
the word betrayer was crudely scratched over his epitaph...
but why is he a betrayer? is it becauset he forsaken think so? or wasn't he so holy at all?
Because his wife said so:
"Filthy scum! Leaves me for his damn crusade. Because "the Light is the most important thing we have against the threats the undead pose."
Well, what about his children?! What about ME?! Night after night I sat patiently waiting for him... always second to his blasted duty!
Well, witness what "justice" brings you! He's dead and I'm bearing the very thing he was trying to stop!"
I like the Zone but i don´t like that the Marshel dies. it just feels wrong for me
Creepy quest ever
These guys remind me of warhammer fantasy witch hunters. Even named them inquisitors for more warhammer vibes (its a different warhammer but still)
I was wondering if Gorak Tul is Bwoamsandi's boss
I kind of assumed the blighted lands would be a realm of death/decay. Ulfar mentions there being a balance of life and death. The witches seem more and more like undead the higher up in the order they are. Their magic and curses seem to be all about causing death and decay.
Loghain sure does like to pop up wherever inquisitors are around......
so, Thornspeakers turned on their people and sided with the invaders?
shameful...
i will say this once, this is an awesome video, i love all your videos however i found drustvar so so creepy haha
I dont get the witchcraft accusations when i did that quest on my warlock. Like what is a witch anyway lol
bro in lore warlocks uses lifeforce and souls of other beings as "fuel" for their magic so they can cast their spells.
Kirsten Dickon hehe I think a female Warlock player would be a witch. Which is witch? Warlock or witch?
"The fuck am I then?" -Female Human Warlock.
A warlock is a name used for a male witch.
So if you are a female warlock you are a witch.
ba sillah no, technically warlock means “betrayer” whereas a witch is just someone who practices ritual arcana, regardless of gender. a warlock is someone who has betrayed their faith (it was a term from before separation of church and state) by partaking in wicked and demonic practice
The Drust were right to defend their land.
Gorak Tul did nothing wrong
You should do a vidayo over the tortollans& Vulpira & the various races we encounter in BFA Nobbel
I'd really like that
I know those tortollans are up to something
The turtle made it to the water! Sure, but why the hell Azshara needs these turtles? Maybe she is going to turn them into some kind of armor? I can already see next armor tier's looks with this :P
Their god is dead, not much for them to do
you know with every attempt at at peace the conflict just escalates for some reason.
They killed a kittie, what a savages!
Drustvar is 10/10.
i was hoping you would do a video on that quest chain lol
Has anyone noticed the theme of "Mother" in the BfA expansion? the blood trolls are a matriarchal society calling them Ma'da. Where's princess Talanji's mother? this video contains a lot of mother-oriented stuff and Jaina and her mom have certainly been through a lot lately. Does this have any potential or is it all coincidental?
Ry feminism, I think
Bumbo Bombo I don't see a clear agenda if that's the case. A lot of these figures are in antagonistic roles. The Blood trolls are freakin' canibals for cryin' out loud. I don't mind having more female presence in the game as long as it doesn't break immersion. I was just wondering if this actually is a pattern or having deeper meaning since it seems to be a reoccurring thing in both factions.
I hope so. I don't mind more female either. There's also M.O.T.H.E.R. in Uldir
Mother is Earth
13:53
Is that Simon Templeton?
IMDB confirms it.
That storyline is so sad, mainlander.
the only zone i loved of kul tiras
Kitty nnnnooooooooo!!!!!!!!!
hey nobbel, im think we might see gorak tul agian cause we dont really kill him in the waycrest dungeon, so my money is we go into a raid to finish him on his own realm
Alliance kills him in his realm in the Jaina questline.
SPOILERS
We kill Gorak Tul within the Blighted Lands during the Pride of Kul Tiras questline
@@nickathanas1898 That sucks. Could have made a good mini raid akin to ToV.
So you are saying we should have a ToV raid where we go into a dungeon end-bosses realm to defeat them where it would hurt most, after dealing with an old god raid? Hm... That has never been done before!
opps my bad i forgot about that XD
so that little girl is the wow version of tiny tina? :D
wish blizz could use Nobbel87 's sound files for wow story quests. Nobbel87 Loreeeeee!
Oh good it's a 'right ear' video
Mmm yeah baby, I love this shit. Reminds me of Cult of the Damned' early days
only, y'know, we actually seem to have stopped their shit
What I'd I hate is that you can i ignore Falconhurst or do it after you've rekt Lady Waycrest so it makes no sense. You don't need Ashtons fire at all
try putting the video at 0.75 speed. Perfect
Great, now must force myself to not watch it until i complete that on my alliance character.
Am I the only person who thinks the girl is secretly Salad Fingers?
I'd still say she's Annie from League of Legends.
Time to plan a crossover with Necrit, man.
Can u done a video about the tide sage
14:17 I know its not true but is that a reference to a character in Dont Starve called Wilson who always says "Go for the eyes"?
Shaderazz I thought Baulder’s Gate myself - “Go for the eyes, Boo! Go for the eyes!”
Wouldn't the Blighted Lands be a good Place for a Short Raid like Trial of Valor in Legion?
Yus!
For my father the King
I got loremaster....I don't remember the tea party
OMG that cat was funny and cute lol :D Smoothems ^_^......
.... no NO that little bitch killed Smoothems >.

I didnt find this, dang
Hey nobbel: it is said that daelin proudmoore unified kul tiras... but the waycrest have served undrr them for centuries... how old is the kingdom of kul tiras really
Did they say we was the first person ever to unify Kul Tiras, or just that he unified Kul Tiras under his rule. If they didn't specifically say that Dealin was the first person ever to unify Kul Tiras, it easily be centuries old but there's been periods we Kul Tiras was more a collection of semi-independent states then a unfied kingdom as Dealin put an end to last one of those periods by unifying Kul Tiras under his banner once more.
