Feel the anticipation as Dan waits, after dinner, for Kid Rock to show up... disappointed as he realizes it might not happen... and my FAVORITE moment of all - his incredible reaction to a dream come true!! Kid Rock is a really nice guy. Many celebrities do this, but they usually treat it as a quick meeting and then leave. But this guy brings gifts for his birthday and actually sits down next to him, like they're best friends, and has a long conversation with him. It's really impressive.

When a fellow Michigan musician’s house burned to the ground Kid Rock announced he would help organize a benefit-he, Seger and Uncle Kracker got a ton of of free PR -but they never did the benefit and left a member of the Michigan Rock Legends Hall of Fame sleeping in a tent on his farm in the dead of winter ...People assumed he’d done the benefit so stopped sending donations when in fact to this day that man’s house is not completely rebuilt....so yeah, as nice as THIS gesture is, and as a former Michigan resident, I CAN ad DO dislike him. If you give your word to help someone, get publicity for yourself for it and then you go back on your word, that sucks...

Bobby (Kid Rock) lives about a mile from here I grew up and still lives there. He treats everyone with kindness and is a down to earth guy. I've seen him singing Karyoke to his own music in little dive bars around town. He is a genuine good guy.

Awesome!!! Kid Rock is a stand-up guy. Last year, he put on a concert with Live Nation in Illinois. He made Live Nation sell tickets for $20 and demanded that the venue charge $2 beers for his fans that drank alcohol (The venue normally charges $16 for a can). He said if this didn’t happen he would not come to play. I love when celebrities show love to their fans.

We all need to snatch our chances to be a hero. It does not happen often. But it fills your heart with joy. This was Kid Rock's chance to be a hero and he took it. I know it made him as happy as it did the birthday guy.
