I've been carnivore for about a month and noticed my neighbor isn't wearing her glasses anymore. She said they don't "work" anymore and she sees better without them. When I asked she admitted she'd stopped adding sugar to her food six months ago. I remember a friend of the family who went on a big diet and in several months no longer needed his glasses.
I also went carnivore. I did it in January. I've never felt better and have experienced so much healing. Letting go of sugar was the hardest thing I've ever done. I eat brown butter bites when I want something sweet. It does the trick and like they said it's a fat bomb!❤

You haven't really quit sugar if you're stll consuming grains. The moment all that starch hits your saliva it begins to convert to sugar. Many people aren't aware of the hidden sugars in our foods, so eliminating all sugar (and sweet fruit), grains and starches is the only real method to remove sugar from your diet.

Sugar is sugar, monk honey date sugar or whatever. I used to use all the non-sugar alternatives. The best thing I ever did was stop. It makes me feel my best if I don't do it. It's all a great transition to stopping sugar.
I have been using raw local honey for years - it can also be used medicinally, and as a poultice. Check out Einkhorn flour - it's an ancient grain that has never been hybridized or modified. Another alternative for thickening is arrowroot starch.
I tried all artificial sweetners when I cut out sugar and soon realised they were unnecessary. I just have a few berries with natural yoghurt and a square of 90% chocolate (sometimes melted with coconut oil). Keep it simple and eat real food. I do not eat any flour or rice/pasta as they all turn to sugar immediately. It's been a 4 year learning curve and I think your doing a great job helping people get started.

Organic Pectin is also a great alternative for thickenings and is a natural fibre source. Pectin is a type of starch, called a heteropolysaccharide, that occurs naturally in the cell walls of fruits and vegetables and gives them structure.
