I love your moment of gratitude before starting the 6 night stretch! I’m going to try and practice that as I start my nursing program and clinicals to keep me grateful and in a positive mindset!
thank you! it's so easy to overlook all the positives, ever since I had that realization of how much free time I have compared to other people's jobs i've thought about it before every work week 🥹
I just fail the NEXTGEN NCLEX exam on my second attempt🥺🥺🤦♂️💔,I cannot begin to articulate the level of embarrassment and heartache I'm feeling right now 🤕😣,I'm confident that I will be a good nurse too. I just need to get past this too and move on. 😥😪
@@mattpeter5902 Just say "I haven't passed yet." Don't take it as a failure but see it as a learning opportunity. There is a lot of power in "Yet"; you are telling yourself that you will get there and that your eyes and heart are still fixed on your goal.
Took my NCLEX -RN test last week and passed with 145 questions on my first try!! Huge Thanks to Mis ELISABETH HELEN, she is a game changer 😊✨
I have sat for NCLEX Exam for the 9th time now and still failed , i guess licence isn't meant for people like me🤦♂️💔
I‘m a nurse in germany and we always get our scrubs from the hospital. We are not allowed to come in them and leave in them. It’s interesting how different the health system works!!🎉
That’s how my unit is! We get scrubs that the hospital washes and cleans each night. But most of the other nurses on other floors wears their own scrubs!
Do we have a sex education fan here ?😂
Same in India ❤
Uk you get 3 uniforms which you have to wash yourself. They say not to wear to work or home but there are no changing rooms

As an expecting mother, I’m thankful for nurses like you! If you don’t hear it enough, your work is so important!
I’m not even a nurse or nursing student but your video came up in my recommended and you have the best energy 🥺🩷
Thank you sm :’)
@@xomaeve I was just thinking the same thing! I have no interest in the field but it was on my timeline and I was glued lol. You have such a positive light. I actually subscribed 😆

i just stumbled upon your account randomly and you have such a good energy!!! i am not in the medical field at ALL but this was oddly relaxing and comforting! amazing garden too (:
Thank you sm :))
Try sockwells- they are a wool blend. Wool is breathable versus poly. Ive had mine for 4 years and they are still working well, def an investment.
I had an old coworker that did 6 on , 8 off as their regular schedule 😬😬.
Ooo okay thanks for the rec! I know a few nurses who do 6 on 8 off, mostly parents who block days for their kiddos. It’s tough, but I’m sure once it’s your routine it gets easier.
Such great content and insight! Nurses truly are the backbone of the healthcare system! I’m currently on a 12/14 night float stretch and as a new resident physician, it wouldn’t be possible without the help of the bedside nurses!
You got one new subscriber and cheerleader in myself! Keep up the great job! 🎉
Awwww thank you for your comment :’) 14 nights in a row is insane, congrats on how far you’ve come & best of luck for all that’s to come!! We got this 💪💕
about to take my TEAS and apply to nursing school soon! you are living out my dream, and it is so encouraging to see you doing it with the most positive attitude!! kudos to you, just gained a new subscriber ❤️

That’s so cool you’re from AK!! I really need make another video, I think it’s fun for people to see the state :)) esp with all this snow anchorage is getting 😧
if you want to wear crocks to work, they have a nursing sort of edition and there are not any holes on them. so you have the comfort and the protection from fluids, i use them and honestly is one of the best purchases ive ever made
The victory breakfast at the end?! I felt that. New subbie! Loved your video ❤️
Hiiiii welcome! Yes I’m such a breakfast girly these days 😂 my favorite meal of the day
I love your vlogs so much

@@xomaeve well as a new viewer i think you're doing great! :)
The book "wish you were here" biggest plot twist ever. I legit mourned over that book for a week or so!!
I’m just about half way in, she’s my favorite author 🫶🏻
@@xomaeve I haven't read any others from her, so I'll forsure have to check them out. BUT, enjoy that plot twist haha ❤
Love the vibes
I'm not a nurse and haven't worked a nightshift in years but I seriously enjoyed your vlog!
Thank you I’m happy to hear it! Anyone who has done a nightshift knows the struggle is real 😂❤️
You came into my feed. I have been a nurse for nearly 37.5 years. I had to work 8 hour shifts rolling morning evening nights for 2 years. Then I worked nights for 17 years. Peanut butter and water was what I lived on during busy shifts. I did stay on my night schedule till I had a baby. Then working nights was hard. I worked 1 on 1 off so no outside childcare. I also worked a lot of extra shifts till I had a baby. That allowed me to work as necessary shifts for 4 years after baby alongwith other sacrifices we made. I am a ICU nurse, thankfully no longer at the bedside as I cannot physically care for heavy patients after the multiple work injuries. My advice is practice self care always. God bless.
17 years on nights, wow! That’s an incredible career. Thank you for sharing your story :) ❤️❤️
I know this vid is from 2 wks ago but I want to say bravo on the sweet attitude despite ur hectic schedule!! U nurses are badass. I want to get into the medical field (work as a scribe rn) but dunno as what. Also how r u so pretty 😭 jealous! Def new subscriber!!!
Thank you sm :’) glad you’re here ❤️
Thank you for what you do. P.S you’re so freaking pretty! ❤❤❤❤
Thank you ☺️🫶🏻
Just found you and already love your vibe - definitely staying around here xx
Happy to have you :))
I love the positive attitude!
Also you should be able to press the top of your seatbelt and lower it down, there’s usually a big button on top of where the seatbelt comes out - just a heads up! 😊
I’ve since done this! Thank you :)
The queen has posted 😮💨😮💨😮💨
I’m so slow at editing 😂😭 but I love this motivation thank you

I love, love your videos you are my inspiration to keep moving forward. That will be me soon.
Yes it will!! Keep it up you got this😄💪
your literally so gorg
You work at our campus! I didn’t realize this was an Alaskan channel! Neat! 💕
It’s the best 🥹 I’m thankful to share a campus with you :)
You can lower your seatbelt by pressing the button on top of where it comes out of the car wall
I will try that, thank you for the tip
Love your channel ❤
Time for a seatbelt clip! I also am too short for the seatbelt and it rubs my neck raw. This thingy attaches at the waist belt to pull down the shoulder belt farther to the left :) its the best!
Omg- I’m amazoning this! Thanks!!
It looks like you can actually pull down the seat belt lower at the part that is connected to your car. Try that before buying a seat belt clip ;)
They make crocs with no holes!💓
I’m a recently retired surgical nurse. I worked in the same hospital for 40 years and loved it until Covid hit. I started my career working nights, but not for 12-hr shifts though! Ah, the stamina of youth.
Feet are so different and not all shoes fit the same. Crocs didn’t work for me even though they’re more affordable. Have you tried the clogs from Calzuro? They were designed for the OR and have great protection and ventilation. They’re pricey, but they last. I went through 4 pairs in my entire career. I wear them exclusively for work, and leave them in my locker at work. The nubs in the clogs that are designed to stimulate your feet are off putting. I circumvented that irritation by wearing foam inserts in them.
Nursing is an all-around practical career. I wish you continued stamina and success as you explore what it can offer you.
COVID took out so many amazing nurses. I hope you’re enjoying your time since retiring 😊 I’ve never tried Calzuro clogs- I’m definitely searching for some new shoes and I’ll see if I can try those on in person somewhere in town.
Thank you for your comment, it’s giving me motivation! I love hearing from other nurses :’)
I looove your videos! Your such an inspiration for me. Hopefully i pass my exam in 2 days and become a danish registered nurse myself!
Thank you so much!! You got this 🫶🏻💓 pleaseee come back and update me id love to hear about your journey :’)
Hi there! How are you doing today?
I LOVE your videos 🤩🤩🤩
💓💓💓
I gave birth 3 weeks ago and I’m so grateful for all labour and delivery nurses. You guys have a really hard job and its not easy to have to deal with cranky pregnant women who are over being pregnant lol
Congratulations 🥰 I hope you’ve got lots of love and support postpartum. We definitely learn to embrace whatever emotions come our way, nothing our patients do or say is ever taken personally. It’s a huge deal to bring life into the world, you’re all rockstars!!
You have amazing work ethics. New subbieee❤️
I loved this vlog. I’m excited to be a nurse. I know I will face some challenges but I’ll get through it☺️🙏
Lean on your peers/educators and you’ll get through it :) it’s so worth it.
About the seatbelt, get the things that go on them. I have a pink fluffy thing that goes on it by my neck. I’m 5’0 so also have that issue but never bothers me with that.
I’m a PA now but I used to be a CNA and worked nights (I’m never working nights again) and I was exhausted by the end of day 3. I’m not sure how you’re doing 6 nights in a row. I’m looking into a hospitalist position so I may be working 7 on and 7 off but during the day.
Nights can be so tough. If you end up 7 on 7 off, I hope you fall into a good routine and enjoy having that week off at a time despite the long stretches :)
Alaska!!!!! I adore you. I'm from Florida. Flo-grown and I've only ever seen the snow about 5-7 times in this life.
I'm subscribing right now. 🧸
Oh my goshhh I feel like I’m always surrounded by snow. I’ve never been to Florida, it looks beautiful.
@@xomaeve If you ever visit Florida wear sunscreen, a sun hat, and sunglasses. I wear my sun protection combo everyday paired with sun clothing. Florida's UV warnings are consistently 10+.
Disney is great.
Our winter is 60 degrees and our summer heat averages 88-96; however, we can hit triple digits from time to time. If you do come to Florida one day I highly recommend clear water beach over Daytona for central Florida.
Myakka River State Park is pretty, too.
Miami Ocean drive is not bad; however, I like Dania for less tourists its about 2 hours north of Miami. Nice peer and restaurant.
Hollywood beach is also nice if you do not mind an older crowd. Naples and Fort Myers also have a slightly older crowd but very nice.
I also recommend Disney during our fall near winter. Summer has a lot of the teens with all year passes; therefore, lines can be 2+ hours for a single ride. We also have beautiful Springs like Rainbow springs.
Anyway, I love your channel. I look forward to seeing your content.
@@xomaeve P.s. Miami also has a nude beach if you are into naked people in public.
On most cars where the seat belt attaches to the car wall, you can slide it up and down to help with your height.
girl u are soooo prettyy
Thank you so much 🤍
One reason why at 41- after 18 years of random shifts, holidays, overtime & neglecting myself for the sake of nursing/ I quit night shift 2 months ago when I started having blood pressure problems. I now have a 13 yr old & I refuse to work night shift if I can avoid it. No one ever offered me day shift in all my 18 years. no matter my tenures, I always was stuck on nights. please make sure you take care of yourself. it may not be bad now at 23 but over time, it will affect your body. I also lost a lot of time with my daughter as I was working nights & working on my degree. Nursing keeps bills paid but it has no mercy on nurses.
Thank you so much for sharing, I’m glad you changed your work flow before your health was compromised any further. I’ll definitely take on a day shift position if and when my body/mind need a break. I’m all for advocating for my health & I know night shift can’t be my reality forever. For now I’m having fun with it but I’ll likely step away when I start a family :’) I’m sure your 13yo appreciates the extra time they have with you now.
@@xomaeve she’s definitely enjoying me having a normal schedule & the fact I’m able to take her to youth group, karate.
you can lower the seatbelt on the side by the door where you pull it from and lower it so it doesn’t dig into ur neck!
I’ve since done this! Thank you for the recommendation 🥰
@@xomaeve hahaha i do this in literally every car i drive my dad always gets irritated when I do it in his truck cuz he’s super tall 🤣
Hello! Your vlog is so good and I find it very interesting so I watched!! I'm a 2nd year nursing student from the Philippines. I'm so excited to be a registered nurse in the future!! 🥰💗
Wow! That’s incredible, I hope you’re enjoying school. Wishing you luck in your studies 🤩
I worked the 7p to 7a shift for years and I just asked my husband (who is sitting next to me) how you are managing to get out and do stuff before work AND while on a 6 night run. Girl - it was all I could do to sleep and work on my 3 night runs. 🙂 Granted I did wake up at 2pm to do the after school Mom thing and make sure littles were fed before I went in. Not lying when I say there are years that I do not remember because of being in a sleepy fog.
You’re a superhero!! I’m so amazed by all my coworkers with kiddos at home. It’s tough work. 💪🏼
👋🏾 new subbie here. Cheers to shift workers. I did it for a little under a year of my life and it wasn't for me. It took a toll on my body and I couldn't fall into the sleeping pattern 😢
I hear that a lot from coworkers who have moved to days, I’m glad you were able to swap your schedule to benefit your sleep health!
@@xomaeve thanks. I was in healthcare at that moment but no longer. I was a geriatric aide at the time.
I'm a social care professional now which is what I'm academically trained for. We get out of hours calls at times though.
This is my motivation
You got this keep it up
awesome video! But the top strap of your seatbelt is literally the only thing stopping your head going though the window in a crash. They demonstrate this in New Zealand schools. My stepdad also has a scar from contact with the window when he was younger.
Hey! I really appreciate you pointing this out, the way it was being worn was very unsafe. a lot of others said this and I figured out how to adjust the belt to be lowered, which fixed this issue🤍
You got this
Eat your slices cold sprinkled with some sea salt- the sweetness, crunchiness, freshness, and saltiness will make you an apple-slicer eater lol. It helps me because, same girl lol.
I put salt on my watermelon but I’ve never thought to add it to apples 😍
lol you are literally like my sister she always gets flowers for herself and is also a nurse and is practically living kinda the same night life as you
Awwww 🥰 I love that
there's leather crocs that have no holes and are apparently durable (i do not own them so i don't know for sure)
Ahhh I'm sorry I'm late! I am new to your channel and I was curious on your thoughts and recommendations for those are trying to go into being a OB/GYN or RN? I am DEFINITELY going to watch the rest of your videos for sure!
I would highly recommend it if you’re interested, it’s such a wholesome fulfilling unit. You get to experience many precious moments. I have a few tips on my GRWM video at minute 01:14 :))
@@xomaeve okay for sure thankyou so much!
I am very impressed with you. Keep the good work. I am wondering which hospital in Alaskka you are working.?
You are so stunning. I loved this video, just subscribed
thank you aww
God Bless, I've only done 6 nights in a row twice. I was so much younger than and it was still torture. 6 12s in a row ER is a living nightmare that I could no way do now.
It’s so tough! I have another 6 day stretch coming up I’m dreading it 🤣
@@xomaeve ugh! I don't envy you for sure. That is sooo rough. I meant it ,I honestly don't think my body would allow that now lol God Bless you girl!
Love Jodi Picoult haha! Great video
She’s the best!
Compression socks can make it hotter. But they are amazing when you are on your feet 12 hours
new subscriber here but loving your videos!!
I appreciate your comment, welcome :))
Starting my CNA program this upcoming summer, I’m nervous but excited to finally get on hands experience
I notice how no one gave this a thumbs up! Why? Cuz no one really respects CNA’s especially RN’s cuz they naturally feel better than the CNA’s!
I hope it’s going well :)
I love to set my google home to a morning automation.

the uneaten apple slices are so real
It must be a nurse thing I love buying flowers weekly . I want to start a garden too
AGREED!! I’d love to have a garden one day
Ive just finished a couple of nights. It was hectic and non stop.
Make sure to take care of yourself!!! 🤍
I found your video today and you are super pretty and I adore the vibes. I have a question about the scrubs you have at work, do youuu pick them out every shift at work and then put them in a hamper at work and they wash them? ❤
Thank you :’) we pick them out when we get to work. There’s pretty much just 3 shades of blue in lots of sizes. And then at the end of shift we put them in the laundry and then they restock them after washing them!
As an EMS worker, my eyes widened a bit when I saw how you wear your seatbelt. Just fyi, and for any readers that dont know about this feature, I know you said you dont like where it sits on your neck. You moved your seat all the way up, but it looks like you didnt move the seatbelt origin down. If you look at where the seatbelt originates from the B pillar, there is a button you can press and hold to slide the seatbelt position up and down. It looks to be in the highest setting in this video which is why it sits high up and close to your neck
Hey!! Thank you for saying that, I’ve since fixed this and I appreciate everyone who pointed that out :)
wow i wish i was 23 again...i became a nurse at an old age, at 26 and have been working for 8...boy do I wish I can be in my 20s....go back to school 100%. my mind was well oiled, fresh...and I started experiencing mild decline in memory after years of working in the ER....all those hours of stress, multi-tasking, also served 1 year in the night shift, so that definitely made a toll on my body...now that i am 33 I feel my memory is somehow affected.....sigh...its still good but not as it was 8 years ago. go back to school!!!! nursing isn't something that can be sustainable with age...
I appreciate the insight! I hope you’re able to rest and recover your mind and body in the years to come. There’s so many different positions nurses can fall into, years of bedside definitely takes a toll on people.
❤❤❤❤
This was so calming to watch new sub 🥰
:’) welcome!
You can lower the seatbelt height coming from the panel!
thank you!! I'll try it
put the chili crips on the apples!
Dude where did u get those work shoes they look so comfy!
All three of these pairs can be found online! The Nike ones are “Nike Air Zoom Pulse” and the Hokas are the “Ironman Mach 4”
Girl you can lower the place where the seatbelt lays so it doesn’t dig into your neck
Wear crocs without holes! I love mine
I take my bananas on a trip out of the house to work and back home allll the time 😂 my husband does the same with his apples. I’ll be like “did your apple have a fun trip to work”
LITERALLY. it’s like an accessory, not a snack.
Where are your rock/crystal earrings from? They’re so pretty! :)
My girlfriend actually bought some crystals from a rock shop and used wire to twist them! However, if you check out Erica Westcott on Etsy she hand makes a very similar style!
@@xomaeve Thank you very much! You have a very talented girlfriend! :)
Can your seat belt move down? On a lot of cars you can move the seat belt up and down like the top part where it comes out of that makes sense…me and my hubby are always moving it up and down depending on who’s driving
Yess this is what I ended up doing!! Thank you :)

Do you make your own report sheets or does your hospital provide your templates? I am trying to find a way to make mine flow better.
I make them myself! If you want to use it I posted it in the description of my “day as a postpartum nurse” vlog :)
What part of Alaska? I lived in Wasilla for 4 months during the middle of the winter. It sucked lol. Why do you drive on the wrong side of the car? I didn't see that when I lived up there lol
I’m in anchorage!
Maybe try hey dudes for shoes, I work as a server and they r super comfy and lightweight
Thanks for the rec :)
