Great information, car looks good. What kind, size, offset wheels and tires are you using?
That and how much would you charge to make me the cover u fabricated for the hole between thr grill and radiator also would the disc break conversion help for the tie rods or the steering links that were rubbing the drum
Since you’ve modernized the powertrain, why not the brakes. There are companies selling alum Buick fins over disc. They’re pricey ($1600) or machine it yourself. I do agree they are sexy. Thanks for posting and good luck.
Only for the simple fact that I love the look, and these cars had excellent braking from the factory. There have been a great number of folks that have actually lost braking ability by switching to discs as told on the AACA forums. However, if the drums don't cut it I am not opposed to upgrading. Thanks for the comment!
I found the info on your wheels, in an earlier post. I have a 63 Riviera and would like to get the same ones. Who did you get them from? What I find online the wheel center bore is not big enough. The car requires 3.43” and the ones I found are only 3.08” (Summit Racing). Did you machine them or use a wheel spacer? I am hoping you found a supplier with a bigger selection. Thx! BTW awesome sheet metal work!!!
mine fit with no issues, I purchased them direct from Holley as they were the only ones with inventory at the time.
The wheels did fit, they had a chamfer that cleared with no problems. How did you handle lug nuts? Did you find spline type 1/2" LH lug nuts. I have not had any luck finding anything that will work. Appreciate any help I can get.
Yes, I had a bit of trouble finding splined lug nuts that would work. I think I ended up finding them on Amazon
I dont remember if you showed it on a previous episode, but what are you running for a fuel pump? Im going tbi on the 401 and need to stick a pump in the tank. The Riv is looking great!
Thanks Jeff, part 5 I go into detail on the whole system. You are also mentioned lol
How thick was the master spacer?
.280 in. but i think the pushrod was out of the s10 as well so may change things
