BYD is unlike other Chinese brands. I was involved in bringing in BYD to the Middle East (UAE & Kuwait) back in 2007. Those days BYD was with ICE , popular model was BYD F3 powered by a 1.6 L Mitsubishi engine. The design was a mix of Toyota Corolla upfront & Honda City at the rear ....Talking to Mr.Wang Chuanfu (CEO & Founder) I asked him what does BYD mean....He said "Bring You Dollars" 😂.....He was very passionate of building quality cars to take on the Japanese and Koreans ..The man delivered and in 2024 , BYD has become the World's No.1 EV car manufacturer . Quality is top notch, don't think of BYD as a cheap chinese product...The CEO is a visionary and personally involved to make sure they are up there with the best. This i am talkiing from experience & my personal interaction with the managqment back in 2007 when BYD was a new car manufacturer.
True. Nowadays Chinese manufacturers are way ahead of Indian manufacturers.. think about Tata, Mahindra terrible experience when I did few test drives for my SUV.

Last month saw this car in Abu Dhabi mall display. The build was so rigid, car interior with light brown colour seats was so premium and amazing 😍 Here this car with full black seats, couldn’t feel its complete premium in the video. 0-100 in just 3.8 seconds is super duper awesome.

Chinese manufacturers are now way ahead of Indian manufacturers in terms of quality and customer service experience. Volume of Korean giants selling their SUV’s are one such example and hence Indian manufacturers need to wake up what they are lacking.. Ex: Tata, Mahindra
I personally had terrible experience when I visited, test drive few Indian grown manufacturers when I wanted to shift mid size SUV.
This car is not affordable for majority of the Indians

BYD can only win India’s market if they drop the tag it’s China… So it’s very difficult for them. The perception has to be changed, once done if it’s VFM then it can provide serious competition.

An awesome value for money vehicle that has proved that more can be provided at this price point deserved a better video with details rather than a hasty rushed through drive. There are a lot of points about the car like the FSD suspension, ADAS L2, iTAC system, high efficiency heat pump, charging speed etc that is missed in the review. If possible, please do a follow up with more in-depth features. There are lots of people who were looking into 40L budget who might be willing to stretch a little bit based on the value.

@@dk-ln6om Bro 520 bhp and 670Nm on any other production vehicle available in India will cost 3x more (around 1.5 crores). Even though this is bhp from electric motors (usually bhp from engines cost more), it's definitely value of money in the performance class of vehicles.

@motowagon it will take a lot of time to see Tesla in Indian market. They always build a lot of infrastructure in countries while launching their cars lime charging stations of their own for their customers. Due to many regulations, it is very hard. I was a trainee for 3 months in Tesla for their software systems and AI. Looking forward to become an intern soon as Iam going to Germany in 2 months for my higher studies.
They made it clear that they are a software company who are producing cars. I enquired about this issue to my project manager. That was his reply.
And to be clear, Indian government is far strict to car manufacturers from other countries. Coz of this, we are still getting cars with less than 280hp in the budget of 50 lahks.
And Porsches (cayanees and macans) even after having their own showroom in India are still selling above 2 cr . While even turbo s is still around 1.2 to 1.8 cr directly from porsche.

Looks better than model 3 for sure. When you ride in model 3, x and model y you will realize it is a mistake in terms of quality besides you will save money in longer term going for EV.
BYD and other brands are truly changing their perspectives when it comes to design.
buy xuv700 for 30 lacks and run it for 1,00,000 kms with the remaining 15 lacks. instead of buying this chinese toys
China wants arunachal pradesh and their govt is doing all sorts of wrong. I will refrain from buying their products and will wait till Tata/mahindra or even japanese brings a product like BYD. i might use lots of Chinese products without knowledge in day-today use but not luxury lifestyle choices like these.
