In this lecture, I have discussed briefly how to calculate the load in slabs and beams and the load transfer mechanism behind it.
Compiled PDFs👇

For any framed structure, the total load of a slab includes the Live Load, Floor finishing Load, and the self-weight of the slab. This load is transferred to the beams which provide support to the slab, and from the beams, the load is transferred to the supporting columns. Then from columns to the footings and finally to the soil on which the whole structure is constructed.
The total load of a slab is the summation of the Dead load and the Live Load. The dead load includes the self-weight of the slab plus the floor finish and it is to be calculated as per IS 875 part 1.

Sorry for the error🙏
Go ahead, we are benefit from you very much, thanks.
Yes was an error now is good
Thanks For Teaching Sir
Awesome sir 👌🏼👌🏼
Thank you bro, just freaking thank you😢😢
Your teaching is like academic. I’m enjoying; thank you!!
Can you also teach how to calculate load on columns?

Superb sir
Worth watching..
great 🤩 truely said, i love to listening this, but i didn't like this for 1day, in the my 4years of college life 😅😇 thank you for this😍
Can u please recheck the formula u use for calculating the load due to trapazoidal section on beam.. Load calculated are very large
Ok, reminder set
Good 👍
Thank you

Actually l want to thank you very much .
Thanks
Thank you 🙏
Welcome!
Nice video 👍👍👍
Thank you 👍
What does 1-1 mean. Thanks for teaching
THANKS SIR, BUT ONE THING I AM MENTIONING THAT LOAD ON BEAM B6 AND B4 DUE TO BEAM B5 SHOULD BE POINT LOAD,BUT YOU HAVE CONSIDERED AS UDL 33KN/M.
hey how did you work out the area of the cross section it says 0.23 but not sure how you got this
Thanks.how to draw this in which software?
Thanks souch
could u pls tell me sir how to get the formula of. load on B1 due toslab S1
my question is, after we calculate loads on the beam can we use this load for column design or de we have to do another calculation using approximate area method for loads on the column ?
Another calculation will be done
Please sir make detailing using Autocad
How to calculate if i have water load on all area of slab ?
What is the formula for getting number of bars from area of steel according bs8110 for Fy=410, Fcu= 20, Because BS8110 part 3 doesn't have table for suchcases.
Good animasi
Sir thank you
i wanna how to calculate cantilever slab carreid load and transver to the beam
Will upload soon
Thank you sir, tutorial on load transferred to column?

hey im a little unsure on something what if the design i have doesnt have beams every side for example my design it has beams only on 2 sides of the inividual structure
for example i have a b2 and a b1 but no beams on b6 and b7
Load due to B5 on B6 will not be UDL as its one end is resting on B6 so it will apply point load on it there.. isn't it?
In minutes 8.06 , the load on B3 due to slab S2 = WLx/2 right but why isnt it 2.5 cause the length in beam B3 has a length of 2.5 m. should i substitute ( WLx/2.5 ) or is there anything else. thanks a lot for all this knowledge i am just a bit confused. thank you and have a great day.
It is one way slab and if the load is example 10kN/m2 The it has to distribute only on two equal beams hence divide by 2
Sir,Calculation can u make it as pdf and send it sir.. It's or all using for further calculations

Sir if we design 1st slab ..
For the project of like g+5, g+6etc
How can we take loads of remaining slabs which is the load transfer to 1 St slab
Moreover is this for only for ground floor or g+1 ? Pl explain it sir
Thank you
The example I have shown here is for a single storey frame to give you the basic idea of how load is transferred in a frame.... I will cover up for multiple stories in a separate video.
Hey guys how do you calculate square slab
What is 1-1 ? How did you get the value, i.e., (1-1/2.1 = 0.523)???
Please help 🥺
1 - (1/2.1) = 1 - 0.4761 = 0.523
Kindly the explanation shall be little slow
कोइ भि घरका सारा लोड, कलम के नम्बर मुताविक भाग लगाकर के निकाल सकते है और नहि?अगर नहि तो कैसे निकाले? please explain me.
Thanks for your design analysis… but the presentation to be modified with conclusions….
The last page calculation of the rectified calculation is again wrong. Again span of B4 (2.37+1.0) does not match with 3.6M of B1
Span of B4 = 2.37 + 1 + width of B5 (I.e, 0.23m) = 3.6 m
OK
where did the size of beam and column come from? and do the beams and columns with this size resist the loads u calculated?
sir make complete video of loads calculations from roof slab to foundation.
Refer below link
czcams.com/video/NV5k1RjrPiM/video.html
it says "given specifications". So you can find the size of column and beams on the structural plan. But if you are the one designing it you will assume the sizes and solve for the whole design if it will (pass or fail) to carry your loads.
