I love Indian engineers, they are simply the best. Across all fields of engineering I’ve been involved in telecommunications, energy, commercial construction, always so good at communicating technical aspects easily and fluently easy to understand. And this is there second language too. Thank you from a New Zealand Maori engineer
He is 🇵🇰
Great sir! Though i m a civil engineer, i watch your clips of knowledge. It refreshes my knowledge. I also like your explanation. Thanks and keep it up
Good day ur explanation is very clear, thank very much, and very interesting, but please can give lecture on foundation profile
So much informative.
Thank you sir for your explanation on depth and width BEAM.
Another great video. Thanks.
Dear sir you said we should l/12 for finding of depth of beam but in this video you did l/16for finding of beam depth why?
Very important learning for construction
Plizz can u explain ka formula of 16 and 1.5
Thanks so much for this video
Excellent
great....welldone
tq sir very usefull for non Engeenering
Thank You So Much...
Thank you sir 💐🙏
Please make 1 video for singly reinforced beam and doubly reinforced beam
Thank you for that explanation sir, I wish ask , can the thumb rule be applied to prestress concrete beams as well?
Bro can you help us in terms of column?
Love the explanation clear and simple
Good explanation
Thanks dear sir
Very nice.
very nice & helpful video

Thank you
Nice💯✌🏿

Supub sir
Nice sir
Ty sir...
Thanks you sir
Welcome
You may want to consider the loading. Different imposed load shall have different rule of thumb.
You can assume this is a residential project
You have taken 20cm width of beam which is equal to 7inch where minimum width of beam should be 9inch which is standard.
Hello, I have a question about effective depth calculation, I've noticed that in some examples effective depth d= h-c-1/2 steel diameter
While in other examples it is d= h-c-1/2 steel diameter- link diameter
So my question; when do you use the first and when do you use the latter
Its nice, Sir.. but my question is what is 16 & 1.5 is that multifier formula standard..
They are the standard.
For depth of beam:we will have to devide by 16 to length beam will get depth.16 is nothing it is only a formula.
16 on center for studs and 1.5 for size of studs... That's my guess
Am also asking the same question!
is this for 2 storey?
Could you please discuss the ultimate stress design and method of design
Thanx , sir may ask is this formula may apply for both plinth & slab further if I have length of beam is 6 meter than it would be applied or not I hope u will guide please
Please make a video for hydraulic and hydrolysis analysis for a proposed drainage or culvert sir.
Very nice thumb rule
Formula is different for different types of beams like cantilever, simply supported, continuous beams...
I am getting confused with your explanation. in your other video you mentioned depth of beam to be length of beam divided by 12 while in this video your divisor is 16 which of the two is correct?
This method applies only for single story building the rest it depends upon the load weight. Thanks and God bless.
Where did you get the 16 used for solving the depth of beam?
I want to know about when colomns are designed what are the thumb rules should we know?
-about columm to column distance,if distance should be increased then what happend to beam sizes
Sir depth of beam size if comes 30cm it is including slab thickness or web thickness please clarify
In your previous video you gave L/12 formula for depth of beam. Now you are giving formula L/16. Which one is correct???
Sir, kindly explain is it suitable for G+2 building?
Do you have calculation of estimation of building
Is the formula calculation with the concrete cover or without ??
Is it for 2-storey structure?
Wat is meant by 1.5 and 16
does it naturally gives column size?
31x20 ?
thank you for your answer
How about inverted beam?
Hi sir can i ask one question
My question is 6.5m of clear span of beam can i use the depth of the beam 0.42m
Sir if i am using euro code how to find the depth and width of the beam?
Sir,is this for first floor beam?
From where do you get the 16 that you are talking about
Dear sir,
I need one clerification
I have two story building
Column distance = 14 fit center to center (10"×10" - 12 MM 6 bar)
Beam Length 18 fit 4 fit centilever (10"×10" Excluding 5" slab thk 16 MM 3 Nos bottom & 12 MM 2 Nos Top)
Now I am planning slab for stair including one bedroom on top can I go for same depth width and steel for beam
In which case is the length divided by 12? In some examples, the length was divided by 10 or 16.
Should L be length of beam or length/distance of two columns
Is this beam size can be used for 3/4/5 five storied buildings ?? I mean for s 4 storied building of Maximum Beam Length of 5 Meters, Can I use 9 inch by 12 inch beam ???
Sir the 16 is standard to find the dept of beam.
Sir, What should be the size of coloum if the span is 15 feet?
Thank you sm... sir..
6 storied design
Sir can we construct 14'×14' bed room without additional beam....matlab without additional beam how I construct a bed room 14×14
you explained what is L .... but what is 16 how it comes and what is that?
What should be the width and depth of beam of 240²ft
how we detect the bar size with any device
In another video you had D=L/12 ,why did you use , L/12 instead of D=L/16
Thks sir, but you once used L/12 as a formula for finding the depth of the beam and L/16 respectively how do they differ ?
I know I am pretty randomly asking but does anybody know of a good place to watch newly released series online ?
@Boston Mordechai Ehh I watch on Flixportal. you can find it through google:) -alfredo
@Alfredo Korbyn thank you, I signed up and it seems like they got a lot of movies there :D I appreciate it !
@Boston Mordechai No problem :D
Depends if the studs are 12 or 16 on center
how much weight can that beam support?
sir your other video says depth of beam is L/12 and now its L/16 so which is which?
Can u explain the mm to inchi n cm to feet n metre
Sir I am diploma student tell hydraulics plz sir
What code are you using?
Why 16 and 1.5? More explanation, please!
Ye jo aapne beam Ki depth nikali hai wo including slab hai???
Alhamdulillah, ure a great person sir..
If u have another time, please describe about minimum area for reinforced steel for beam.
Thank you 🙏🏽
How can you use 16 only, according to IS:456-2000, it differ according to length of span.
Depth of beam including slab or excluding slab ??? Please reply....
Without slab
Tan q sir super message including slab area pls
@@CivilEngineerss so if we are to cast beam and slab monolithically we have to add slab thickness to have overall beam depth?
Looking for 400 ft.² to floor home, With lots of windows
Do you know which aci code this is from? (Or anyone else here)
Sir ki beam Ka Width or depth Nikal rahe ho usko to btw ki sabka ek hi HOTA hai
Cantilever or continue and Supply Support beams sabka alag alag HOTA hai
Which code says this l/16 & w/1.5??? I mean source of this??? BS?? IS456?? Or what??
We need pdf file for design step by step
What is 16 what is the 1.5 sir
sorry my teacher you told us that the fomula to get depth of beam is L/16 where u got 16?
Sir road quantity start ka e ......curves etc
Ensha ALLAH
OK I will be thankful to you sir ...
Sir what is 16?
If depth and width should not be less than 225, then why are you using 200mm for width? I am confused. Please can someone answer my question?
im not clear with 1.5 & 16 that you have used to measure depth and width of the beam
Sir what is 16
Sir if you were docter so u use same thing for non technical person also can do this thing
Actually sir lots of youtuber distroy our feild
Ur right bro
Sir why u divided by sixteen?
Is 300 mm beam depth is enough for 5m span. I won't agree
Beam- 6m why 12mm the size main bar.i thing 20mm the size bars, straps 10mm.
12mm to use 3 bars
Not sufficient
It's not working in civil engineering real project you should to design and recheck it and my change it according to the stresses and under loading
Sir I have 14 f distance between two columns ..Is it right.
Beam is 10/14 inches.

31 cm..with and 20 cm breath...............is'nt a very thin beam? we can see normal beam like 12"x10"...what is the pointff? or you are making a buiding for a poultry farm ahahaha
confusing
Not teaching
Thank You So Much...
