I was a collector and playerback in the 90's, I got back into the hobby during the boom. It was a manic time but I agree, this community is so vibrant and enthusiastic despite all of the negativity of poke-mania. I hope the community goes from strength to strength.

I lost track on why I came back to the hobby originally and became way too competitive… your channel helps me realize that it’s not always about who has the bigger, better collection. The best thing that came out of the boom was the new smaller content creators that started up. The larger creators just do a lot of click bait bs but the smaller ones are making content most of us want to watch. The content from big influencers has dramatically gone down hill.
Got back into collecting in 2015. Got to that age where i had disposable income, collection has grown exponentially since and a huge point here was the ‘collecting alone’. The hype really made it easy to talk about and made friends in the process.. Pokemon classics along with smpratte and deriums are still my favourite guys to watch. Just genuine interest and passion for the hobby. Keep up the vids 🤘🏻
I returned to Pokémon card collecting recently. I still had my old mini book with cards from my childhood (banned cards too). Right now I am aiming to have the original 151 cards in my collections( not the old cards but whatever I can find now). Its hard. These newer Pokémon confuse me. I lost many of my cards from taking them to school and trading them with friends. We all got caught and my teacher took them all. I never got them back. I had a Charizard in there too but it wasn't a holo. My goal is to get the original first back and then try to learn the newer Pokémon and collect more of those. I'm not into selling and grading and stuff. I just love opening them to see what I can get. XD I can't believe how much craziness went on during the pandemic. I'm proud of Pokémon though they've held on this long maybe we can get 50 years of glorious Pokémon goodness.

Like all experiences and trials in life, they all help an individual, or a group of individuals, to grow and improve. I think the same is VERY true for our community.
Been a collector of all sorts of things for a while. I too was caught by the 2020 bug of wanting more to do/ collect. So much so to where it has inspired me to create a business surrounded by TCG and Funko Pops. We launch Q4 2022 and hope we can serve the community well!! I feel there is a damned if you do damned if you don't scenario building. Torn between being on the side of producing as much as they can to spread the collection and limiting the spread so that the value of cards continues to stay high. So far, we aren't seeing a flood in the market, to where it affects pricing astronomically, but we are seeing the decline on certain cards. We are also seeing a major incline price wise for certain cards. Kind of a catch 22 scenario. It'll be interesting to see how this progresses moving forward. I wonder what the TCG world will be like in the next 25 years. 🐉
Yeah I got back into pokemon Because of the Logan paul box break. And it was just fun to open whatever pack were available. It was fun to feel like a kid again. Also your Educational videos with how Amazing your Editing is make you videos so appealing. Have a great day!
