STEER Bioplastics - Highly filled Minerals with PLA+PBAT

Study the effect of Polybutylene adipate terephthalate (PBAT) / Polylactic acid (PLA)/with a high concentration of talc were processed using twin-screw co-rotating extruder (STEER) using standard (STD) and Fractional geometry technology (FGT) screw.
Also, understand the mechanical and thermal properties of PBAT/PLA blend with 20 wt. % to 60 wt. % of talc. FGT showed lower melt temperature and higher mechanical properties at 60 wt.% of talc. 60 wt. % talc showed smoother pellet surface in FGT. Strands breakage and rough surface were observed in standard technology
