    Great Video! Could I use planner to plan receptive tasks (like a workflow) over and over again? The task should be then a project and the buckets steps to get to the end-result?

    It looks so useful but also complicated if you have been managing big projects. One project manager can not manage all of the staff's tasks and monitor.
    Project and Primavera are most useful tools for project managers.
    Thank you for your good tutorial

      Great point, Emre. We agree. For complex projects, it's often better to use something like Project Online / Server. Glad you liked the training!

    If we have a single group with multiple plans, is there a way to create a master calendar or schedule view that shows all tasks from multiple plans regardless of how the tasks are assigned? Trying to create a single calendar that shows every task in planner (from all plans) so that employees can also see tasks assigned to others.

    Do you know if you can recover deleted tasks?? For example, I created a task for someone on my team but they delete it, either on purpose or on accident not realizing it... Don't really care how they did it, more so looking to recover it if possible

    Great video. As a program owner, I'd like to see all tasks for a given person across multiple 'plans' is that possible? Using filters you can only see one plan at a time.

    • @Advisicon
      @Advisicon  Před 2 lety

      There isn't a way (as of right now) to see tasks for someone else across multiple boards. But if you're wanting to see all of your own tasks in one place you can add the "Tasks by Planner and To Do" app in Teams. This will put all of your assigned tasks across all boards in one place.
      I switch back and forth between this and viewing within Planner because sometimes I want more context than the Teams list view provides.

      @@Advisicon Thanks for confirming what I thought. As a Leader, it’s hard to use Planner for Teams because of this limitation.

    "Keep it simple" means I can't have all the tasks in a reasonably complex, realistic project?

    G'day thanks for the video. I have a question about the custom labels. But they don't reflect in the other 'plans' within the planner. How do you make the custom labels appear in all the plans for all the tasks regardless of plan or bucket?

    • @Advisicon
      @Advisicon  Před 2 lety

      As of right now, there isn't a way to copy labels across planner boards. We're hoping that's a feature in an upcoming update. Fingers crossed!

    Why MS Planner create a Group folder in Outlook? what is the purpose of it? I like to work on many projects but I don't need for each an Outlook folder or a Group. How can I avoid it?

    • @Advisicon
      @Advisicon  Před 3 lety

      Great question, Isaac. Our assumption is that the connection to Outlook is automatically created so that when team members collaborate with the task, everyone is notified. Here's a link to a quick video on how to turn that off: czcams.com/video/yEjW7uOeylY/video.html
      Hope this helps!

    • @Advisicon
      @Advisicon  Před 2 lety

      Hi Sarah, if you're liking the bucket style of planner we would recommend using the Sprint Planning Board view in Project. As of right now, we think it's the best compromise. Check out this video between 12-15 minutes in for more on that view: czcams.com/video/uDjKoDYMjbs/video.html

    When I add a comment within a task, no one will get a notification, not
    even the assigned person. I can't understand why Microsoft didn't think
    about that. How do you communicate with task assignees about a specific
    task? Do you send them a message in the chat? Or what's your go-to
    workaround?

    • @Advisicon
      @Advisicon  Před 3 lety

      I feel your pain, Alessandro. It appears that planner is supposed to send an email notification when someone comments on a task - but in my experience, that doesn't always happen. Super frustrating!
      Here's an article from Microsoft on comments: support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/comment-on-tasks-in-microsoft-planner-fd4aedde-7785-4cd0-96ee-122fbc9140e1

    Can I have one Team with several channels and specific planner boards per channel? For instance, each channel would be a specific project that would require a specific planner board.

    • @Advisicon
      @Advisicon  Před 2 lety

      Yes. Each channel you set up in teams can have a dedicated planner board. Team members will be able to view and switch between boards on the left-hand menu.

      Agreed! There are currently no way to alter permissions in planner.
      There are, however, user voice requests created for this topic. Go vote for them so Microsoft take notice: planner.uservoice.com/forums/330525-microsoft-planner-feedback-forum?query=Permissions

    "A little bit about ME..." is correct as opposed to "A little bit about MYSELF..." Please use proper grammar.
