Amazing, beautiful instrument (koto) how it makes classical music sound different but still beautiful on the koto. Would love to hear more if you can. Like Ave Maria. 💖🙏😘
Thank you. From the bottom of my heart to the very tiptop of my head, I thank you. This is one of the most amazing and is definitely the most unique renditions of this piece of music I've ever heard. I love the way you remained true to the original composition. But at the same time, you added some characteristics of the Koto voice to the music with the pressure playing technique. I was amazed at how you could change the tuning pitch midstream so accurately and with such ease. There is nothing that I enjoy more than seeing and hearing a master of a musical instrument, play with their heart. You definitely played with your whole heart and it showed. I watched as you disappeared and left this world as the music touched your heart and lifted your spirit. I don't think anybody else saw this. But there were brief moments when your heart soared and your spirit took flight from this world. It showed in your eyes and on your face. I saw as the music touched you and lifted you. In one moment you briefly closed your eyes and took flight. And I could see your spirit in flight because you were smiling. It was a true honor and a rare thing to see you play, and to see you captivated by your music and playing that was captured on camera for all to see. You truly are a musician and a music master of The Koto... Your Koto. On a more personal note; To me, Your Koto looks to be very old and much loved. It has such a beautiful, clean voice that is as beautiful as your playing. Again, thank you for this beautiful gift of music that you shared with us... "マスター Mieko Miyazaki"
just finished listening to your album of variations goldberg, and have been listening to the abum kyoku japanese chamber music for a while now. I'm trully delighted ! Thank you for your work :D
@@kotomieko Not this one! This looks like one of the most insanely difficult instruments to play. You must have played since you were a brilliant kid, or it would be impossible. The world is indeed wonderful.
Holy cow the tuning can be changed while playing! Must require precision?! This is all so impressive!
Ive never seen anyone move the ji moveable bridges before on the fly. Really enjoyed it.

Do you play a koto?

The world is indeed wonderful.
I wasn't a brilliant kid at all. I learned a good technique to play koto by teachers, one by one.
I laughed when you played the short side of the strings!
Short side?
Arigato!
Great song! In Vietnamese used this song in weather foceast
👏👏🥰🥰
Thats awesome . Are all the strings the same guage? Are they nylon?
Yes, strings of koto are made of a special kind of nylon.

She cheated! Did you see the metronome in the background? It is on that stand covered in rope and padding, LOL!
