lived in florida 10 years.....left....still miss it sometime....PROS: weather, Churches, beaches, coasts, big cities (Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville) then a few miles down the road nice and rural...Long drives with car to cruise, good restaurants-lots to choose from, great wildlife - gators, manatees, panthers, etc..cool to see, Disney World, Universal Studios, Sea World, etc...Daytona 500, car shows, Sports teams, Football, College and Pro Football, Spring Training, Nightlife, no snow, .............CONS: Lower wages, lack of quality healthcare and doctors, southern inefficiency, bad attitudes from southerners and Floridians, Puerto Rican gangs, emphasis on Spanish language and culture, Expensive housing, Hurricanes, insects, bugs, small lizards running around, a feeling of "NO CULTURE", Lots of wealthy, elderly people, and snowbirds that are arrogant, no change of seasons, that state just gets on your nerves after awhile...

Haha well said! It does get on your nerves after a while. My friend said I’d stop appreciating all the wonders of living in “Paradise” after about 7 years and she’s right. Year 12 for me…. Humidity, bugs, traffic nightmares and rude people are blocking my view of the vacation lifestyle I once blindly enjoyed. One thing you forgot… obnoxious HOA board members who terrorize you with endless texts and assessments! 😅

Orlando? Really? I’d advise anyone who is thinking of moving to Orlando to drive outside of the tourist areas before considering this concrete jungle full of apartments and never-ending bumper to bumper traffic. Check crime rates, too. The tourist area is beautiful but manufactured, but look around those areas very carefully and check city data.

the problem is all of the hospitals in the entire state with emergency rooms get bad reviews! And for some reason they don't all have emergency rooms! Hospitals that are voted by US news as best hospitals gets terrible patient ratings so I assume they re paying for those reviews! I mean horrifying reviews!
