      @@WeaponsGradeNeurofunk you cracked me up with your comment. I ger that a lot. I'm a white dude from northern Indiana. I took 4 years of Spanish in high school class of 1999 and tested into Spanish 312 in college. I dropped the class the first day bc I was already fluent enough to speak and write grammatically correct Spanish and I use it as much as possible when going to eat Mexican food or buying coca cola from Mexican tiendas bc they don't use high fructose corn syrup in their sodas so its easy for the body to process and it does not stick to fat cells as bad. I'm a very white mutt except for my less than 1/8 Cherokee but my dad's grandmother was from the isle of man in the UK. So when i speak Spanish native speakers always ask how i sound like a Mexican when I speak Spanish. Well its from friends and ive never been to Spain. I went to the dominican Republic and made many friends as they thought this güero (white boy) is pretty damn fluent and i can roll my r. I still talk to my friends on WhatsApp when i want to practice. Up here we have mostly Mexican migrants so all i hear is the Mexican accent. I have used my Spanish on vacation to make brasileño friends. I don't speak portugués but they spoke Spanish but no English. Best part i hate onions so i always order in Spanish so i get no onions by accident. 22 countries have Spanish as the official language. Native Spanish speaking people always compliment my accent and i think latinas are beautiful so that doesn't hurt me either. If you saw me you would never know im bilingual. I have been asked if i was Hispanic before and it makes me laugh. Some day i think ill learn another latin based language.

    Not sure how I missed this episode. I love Manny, he’s a proper mix of insane and brave. I agree with most of what he says.
    I used to be a charter fisherman, here in Va Beach/Outer Banks was my base but I’ve fished all over. The biggest reason the bullshark is the deadliest, aside from what Manny mentions is the fact that there are just way more Bulls that come into contact with humans, bc they are coastal and bc they can live in rivers as well. It’s just a matter of percentages. And he’s 100% accurate when he says that swimming away from an approaching shark is a death sentence. You atleast have a chance if you face up to it, jab at it with a spear gun if you have one and/or just appearing as the aggressor. Never turn your back to a shark. I also agree that sharks have made such a comeback that an annual shark tournament is probably a good idea to balance the numbers. Not only would it balance the numbers but scientists would have these specimens to test once a year, so it’s not just a killing fest for no reason.
    Barracuda has a nice white flesh, whereas Kingfish can be oily. I love kings, you just have to know how to cook it.
    I disagree with him saying the cotton mouth and copperhead are the same animal. Not sure why he would say that.
    Great show as always Danny.

    Moved to Daytona Florida with my buddy for a summer he was going to school there the house was 10 miles north in ormond beach. We had a roommate that was from Southern California who surfed his whole life and offered to teach us I had no interest but my buddy did he was a snowboarder, water skier so he went with him. The dude told him before hand if a shark is around don’t panic because they hear splashing and think it’s an easy meal from a fish/animal in distress. They go way out and the dude gets scared because a big school of small fish swam past them and he seen a pelican flying towards them he said there is more then likely a shark near us they follow those fish because they know pelicans dive in the water to get a fish and the sharks jump out to grab the pelicans and that’s exactly what happened 2 seconds later. When they told me about it I thought it was bs so everytime I drove the 10 miles to Daytona I looked in the water when pelicans were flying low and I seen it happen it’s pretty crazy to see and man it wasn’t even far out in deep water. It was a bad idea to go in the water where we lived because it was swim at ur own risk no lifeguards it wasn’t a populated area you could be there all day and not have one person walk by you so if anything happened help isn’t coming for a good 15min if ur lucky.

    During pandemic, people were not frequenting beaches as much as they were. Sharks came in further, now we are getting back in the water back to where we were and the sharks got a year to delve into new territory. That is my take. On top of there being more sharks. The one year of no/limited beach access was devastating for various reasons.

    I don’t believe in Christian mythology myself but there’s no question that much of the wildlife out there is in trouble from overfishing/hunting and even more so from loss of habitat. This is why I keep saying to have Doug Tallamy on here because he’s one of the few voices out there actually bringing light to the insect apocalypse. Which their numbers alone make up more of the life on earth than anything else combined so if you’re looking from the perspective of a Christian, then that would certainly qualify as 3/4s of all life. Troubling when considering that if we lose them then literally everything else will fall with like dominoes for total ecological collapse. All plants won’t be able to reproduce and subsequently causing famines, wars over all the remaining food and water, etc. etc. for everything they claim in Revelation. I also agree with him that things can/will regenerate if we just allow it to but that’s the thing is we’re expanding and clearing forest/land at unprecedented rates. We should be letting native species come back rather than replace them with foreign invasives that offer nothing ecologically to the local ecosystems, as well as shrinking the lawns in favor of meadows/wooded areas. Not to mention the plastics and chemicals being sprayed all over is out of control. We’re living in some very dangerous times right now, I just hope that people will really wake up to what’s happening but given how many are still brainwashed by the government/media it’s hard to say where things will go. Needless to say, love this dude and remember seeing him on Jackass and Wild Boyz. Really awesome to see him on here in a different atmosphere than the shenanigans of those shows. I seriously enjoyed this and hope to see a round three! Great talk!

    Yeah, Manny is spot on with this, the world is NOT overpopulated. If you stood everyone, all 8.xx billion people, in a crowd shoulder to shoulder… the entire human population would barely cover the lower 1/3 of the 48 states.

    • @RustCole01
      @RustCole01 Před rokem

      I'm sorry, but how exactly does this demonstrate how many people the world can sustain? We are the most invasive species the world has ever seen and our population has more than tripled in the last 100 years.
      There's a reason that huge swaths of land are barren. It's because they are sh1t areas to live. Which is why every country from South Korea to the USA have people stacked on top of each other all over the coastlines.
      At our current population, we have to mass produce genetically and chemically altered crops and animals. Also worth noting that countries like China and India have huge populations that pretty much require authoritarian governments. Those countries also have some of the most disgusting living conditions compared to other impoverished parts of other countries.
      This idea that we need more people is preposterous. Quality over quantity...

      It could be that they are migrating due to depletion from that and showing up unexpectedly. I grew up in California but I have been around the Gulf Coast living in Pensacola for many years. I am self employed and out talking to people all the time. I can say for a fact that since shark conservation, Bull sharks are out of control. That's dangerous because they will travel up River, go in the bay, run shoreline and like he said the most dangerous aggressive angry shark there is. They are eating catches and getting more aggressive as they grow in numbers and in competition for feed with more bulls, tiger sharks etc. They are man-eaters and will go after you without provocation.

I'm in the PNW and it's been awhile since I was alone in the woods. There are places; lakes, streams, volcanic mountians, gorges, literally different climates near me. People aren't there. It is guaranteed that the places which are hard to get at are empty and the entire public wilderness is free for me to rome. Thanks Manny.
