For this old lady learning to work on her vehicle, and this is the first video I watched of yours, I will be back. That was a straight to the point, clear, no nonsense video! I hope you get some sponsors with some $ to support and give you, you EARNED it!
That sure is ball busting work. You know your stuff. Explaining it as you do it - removal and install, give me a better understanding of the "" Big Rigs "" on the highways !!!!!!! I only eat in truck stops when I travel - truck drivers know where to go for a good meal !!! Seen a few of your videos before, but think it's time I subscribed to watch a "" Pro "" at work who keeps the trucks rolling and making America great. Farmers and truckers keep America moving, and so do the unsung Hero's - the truck mechanics !!!!!!! As I said in a comment on one of your videos last year, If I ever see you in a truck stop restaurant, your meal is on me !!!!!! Keep them great videos coming - I'm looking forward to watching a lot more !!!!!!!!!!! Thank you & God bless you.
Just busted my rear yoke last night. Drive shaft wasn't damaged. Your video broke it down very well. Subbed your channel. Thanks!!! ( I was a half mile from home and a bunch of my neighbors stopped and towed me back home). Even picked up my drive shaft for me....:)
I started looking your videos today, my friend. God bless you and your family and business and thanks for passing knowledge to all do us that need them, blessings.
I like that you do it old school when it’s possible. I ,doesn’t always have to be polished floors, PC’s and suited managers. However one concern about this video is when you tighten the yoke. Some pinions have a crimp sleeve between the bottom and top tapered bearings to determine the pre tension (I’m danish, not sure what the correct word is). If you tighten it too much, you will stress out the bearings. I guess this pinion have a fixed sleeve, so its no problem here. But some watching might benefit from that additional info.
Doing this job today! (Again) And Yes had to add heat, oil slung everywhere! We call that 1inch impact big Bertha... I like how you just quickly pushed with your bare hands whilst hot
Recuerda que puedes poner subtítulos y así usar google para traducir lo que el dice. Además al parecer si eres inteligente porque con solo mirar con atención también aprendes .
I just subscribed, but i really enjoy your videos. I used to be a mechanic heavy equipment driver operating layout you name it. Now i can only watch. Your videos are a great way to get through my day. Thankyou.
Love your content. It is straightforward and well explained,. Thank you for taking the time to make good videos. I have one question regarding the positioning of the tailshaft on the yoke: do you mark them previously? Does the new yoke have to be in THE EXACT same position as the previous one in order to avoid vibration??? Thanks
ez a lot of supper truckers wonder why they loose there shirts it's because they can't do simple maitenace on their ride. glad to see someone like my self able to do it yourself. saves a lot of coins and down time waiting for a shop to get to it when ever. then they wonder why they go under. this game is 24 hrs a day 7 days a week if you wanna survive. keep on trucking
you can got that right IH tow truck in our yard 4 to 5 times a day trucks are gone for weeks l got trucks worth 1- 2.5 million dollars apeace sitting in a shop fowork all emissions bullshit because our trucks sit and idle may be 10 12 hrs a day and maybe only be driven 30 miles mabe60 miles aday all max force engines cause international is the cheapest. l drove a mack super dog all the time with a 100 ton rgn king quad axel float l done the ice road building and trucking deal 4 14 years the roads on ice road truckers we built those roads to all the Indian reservations in northern ontario canada plus I delivered 80 to 100 tons transformers and generators to provide electricity to these places.
I like your videos and the explanation for every step but I think the universal joint bolts needs thread lock and also for the yoke nut even if it is a new nut Thanks
Hi there, can you please discribe in short the procedure of installing front deff.. out put seal. Thanks. (Does it need to be hammered in or just pushed in when tightening the yoke back in place)
I got a 92 Chevy Silverado and rope got caught up in the yolk & pinion and blew the seal but I took it all out and got a new yolk and pinion seal but there's rope some hard plastic ring ,black rubber gasket and a ringed spring that was in where I pulled out the old seal , was that a bad thing or was that pieces of the old seal and I'm just over worried? I'm no mechanic and don't want to mess my truck up but any help would be awesome. I got pictures just wish I had help here with me.
Hey, Great video. I have (a 20 year old RV with 85k miles with) a Dana 60 and it looks like I need this pinion seal replaced. Any idea how many hours of labor a shop would charge for this repair? I would do this myself, but have a trip planned and no idea if I can get it done on a timely basis, so might bite the bullet and let someone else do it. Thanks for the video!!!
Hay brother, would you consider a favor. This new type of fuel is causing problems with trucks. Fracing deposits are showing up in my fuel line. Clogging up the filter and lines. Don't know if I'm the only one. Video on cleaning fuel lines, changing filter, would help some of the younger driver's running for O/O's. thanks
Pretty much everything from the fracking process will fall out of the crude when it runs threw the treater before it even leaves the wellsite anything that would remain shouldn't make it threw the distillation process at the refinery. Sounds like what your discribing is what iv heard of called fuel asphalting no personal experience with it yet seems to be mostly a isx problem from what I know of it and caused by the fuel being overheated in the head before it returns to the tank causing a tar like substance to drop out of the fuel
Hi. My truck is a 10 speed manual (Eaton) the gears stock was on high range (I was told that this was a minor issue) But The mechanic told me it's a big damage, they need to rebuild it for $ 3500 without labor!!!. I agreed. Then I found out, that he replaced it with another one, that one doesn't have a cooler (my transmission had one) tell me please if what the mechanic did is right/okay?. Should I accept this transmission ( the new one without the cooler)? He's working on the truck now, haven't finished yet.. I still have time... should I accept what he did or not?? Please reply 🙏

They don't use crush sleeves on these large Eaton's. Tq spec is somewhere around 800ft lbs off the top of my head
I’m gonna try this today on my T680. Thanks for the clear no nonsense video!

Thank you glad you are enjoying the channel 👍
It's always good to put some oil or slickum of some sort on the yolk sealing surface before installing so your seal doesn't start out running dry.
use that oily/greasy hand too
You got these trucks down my friend .

Hi there, can you please discribe in short the procedure of installing front deff.. out put seal. Thanks. (Does it need to be hammered in or just pushed in when tightening the yoke back in place)
Hammered use a piece of pipe or a big socket to drive it in
,,, looks like my forward axle before I added spring brakes up front . But then it's kind of scarey out here in West Virginia .
No one deserves a like 👍 but you. Well worth it ✨👍
Thank you so much 😀
Great work as always 👍💯

Your videos are great, thanks Man.
I just had too see his face, and know that this is going too be a legit video.
If you read in the box recommend not to use any sealcon or gasket maker . Anyway thanks for video you make look easy
thank you, a little sealant on the flange doesn't hurt anything defiantly don't want to put any on the lip seal though.

i would think just a pinion seal on a dana 60 should be under a hour shop labor. unless there is unforeseen problems or circumstances.
Rachet works fine. Just gotta have the muscle.
nice explanation
