    Thanks teach dem” I appreciate you for this interview, “sweet son aka African symbol” one of the person why I am successful, remember going to school st Benedict’s, I used to see him every day, my ambition was to be successful just like him he used to drive a Volvo the only one in mobay at the time his son was my classmate, almost 40yrs later the man sill successful, I am very surprised the government haven’t given him a National award for all he done for the development of the yutes of mobay and contribution to the music, it puzzled me, thanks again teach 🙏🏿

    Never heard of this National Symbol from Jamaica. A true genius with a vision to embrace/empower youths in his community & probably the world. Everything he touches or touched oozes success & inspiration. I have been following your platform for a while & I think this is your best interview ever , for showcasing a a quiet , humble, and a selfless giant who has made a big difference. I am truly impressed. He just laid out the Blueprint of his success as a template any youth to adopt or emulate to succeed & be independent . He is a hero.

    Thanks for this interview. It makes me so proud. I used to be a little youth over that yard watching all the names he spoke about. I lived across the street on Duke St. He's always been a Humble Don. Been rich but never a flosser. Jarret park was my favorite African Symbol Dances. Thanks again, GREAT INTERVIEW

    I watch a few dances in England and America I see all these men throwing away hundreds of bottles of Champagne wetting up others, wanted to show people they are rich and when I see a successful man like symbol at dance this man just be drinking a bottle of water he’s a multimillionaire, so I asked myself the question what these men trying prove throwing away Champagne!

    Yeah man, as yutes in West Kingston, we heard about African Symbol as the big country sound. Unfortunately, i never went to 1 of their dances. But rated the sound on a different level based on their cassettes.

    Teach them, this interview is a breath of fresh air, your interviews are always top of the top and full up of vibes and history and also knowledge of so many different things. Big respect to African symbol boss,fada symbol he is really a tower of everything a real community man. Just wish if all the youths them from mobay and surrounding could listen to fada symbol n let we build back the love with music and sports in Jamaica, fada symbol talking about how African symbol beat up all the town sounds and I'm a town man and I don't vex r feel anyway because he is a real champion and Jamaica needs many more like fada symbol.     Aahhhh, mi longtime brethren Symbol! Original mobay days.. Senior school, St Benedict, Harrison Memorial. When symbol string up back then, Jarrett park cork, damali Beach cork, club inferno cork. It was a sight to behold. The size of African symbol sound was impressive on many levels. Symbol is a cool, kind ,genuine bredda. Many youths and families have benefitted from his kind heart. Protect this Jamaican (not just mobay) treasure....Blessings upon blessings mi brethren

    Greetings. Jah know fada sweet son African symbol owner n boss was a real don and was one of the richest sound man and I guess he didn't get to remember Mikey merican was also one of the selector with big Joe. And with white mice from mobay there was also junior history n likkle guardie as mobay entertainer. That was the first n only big sound start giving me the opportunity at 15 years old to be on the sound as early starter with likkle guardie I was little Wayne with white mice general Leon lady g echo minott admiral Bailey lieutenant stitchie and wolfman n pad Anthony and general Jah Mikey n more. Honestly as a youth I use to eat food I was fifteen n got the opportunity to build my craft n got experience but couple years after I migrated. Nuff respect sweet son aka African symbol boss. Me n pardy now in Canada also big Joe we all became resident people here n still link even today day

      I hear that but Admiral , Stichie , Wolfman and the others was never assigned to the sound they worked as guests Dee jays on the sound because the sound never had no big DJs to represent it

When the sound a play out n in clash the original people were junior history even though he was with ticka too ,,white and black mice little guardie n I little Wayne but I was from sav n only fifteen n had other engagement so I'm not always there. But echo n Leon n Lady g was also a regular with major Lloyd n Paddy n couple more youth from mobay but I forgot some names

    Respect teachdem also African symbol, for this piece of Jamaica 🇯🇲 dancehall history, my part of the interview is when mr symbol spoke about vinyl albums and 45records, that when Jamaica 🇯🇲 studios went wrong,they followed the rest of the world 🌎, they took our assets n run with it ,put our eggs in one basket, got caught in Internet, no more control over our music anymore, Internet is good for business, but sounds system n vinyl is Foundation for our culture n future generations Jamaica 🇯🇲.
