I still miss this wonderful man & this amazing show. Loved watching it as a kid. I have trouble sleeping sometimes & if I was up early enough & there was an episode on I'd watch it then fall asleep when I went back to bed soon after. It's a little sad there are no children's shows like it on TV today !!
when mister Rogers would go on a field trip and introduce you to the person showing off the tours they went on and he would say "I'd like you to know my television neighbor" I thought he was talking about me
Maybe he was called Handyman Joe the first episode/season of Mister Rogers Neighborhood, and then they changed his character name to Handyman Negri after that?
@@learnthroughmusicandlyrics6361 you can watch the early episodes on amazon video on demand. in episode 0001, x called him mister negri, Henrietta called him joe, and king friday called him mister negri. Daniel called him joe. there's also the original Canadian series that ran for 7 seasons , but he isn't credited as handyman joe there. handyman joe vs negri isnt as bad as another news broadcast which called king friday, " the eighth "
I remember watching Mister Rogers when I was very young. I loved his show and now that I look back on it, it makes me think that we could use a person like Mister Rogers today in our hurting world. He calms me down when I'm mad, and cheers me up when I'm sad. I even get tears from watching him because he's a great person on TV and in real life. ~R.I.P. Fred Rogers.
It makes me sad how cynical we've become as a society that people have made up things such as him being in the Navy Seals, etc. He really made such an impact on my childhood because my parents were divorced when I was young and that show was the only show that really talked about things like that.
I loved both Won’t You Be My Neighbor and A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood

Sometimes I cry just watching how Mr. Rogers. Because it's really rare to listen to somebody so much compassion. Help me release my pain
It doesn't surprise me that a CBS station took up this story. Christopher Glenn would have beamed with pleasure!
I was born on Feb 19th 2002
1:00 I noticed a mistake. It's actually KQED.
KQED = California and does radio
WQED = Pennsylvania and does television
Actually, there's a KQED-TV. And I believe the radio station in Pittsburgh WQEH.
