  • I give you 5 suggestions on how to continue being a zero waste family or at least a low waste consumer during this time of global crisis. Prepping for social distancing and self quarantine is not easy when considering zero waste. I hope you find my suggestions useful.

Let me know about other ways you're trying to keep your waste down during these trying times.

What a great video! Thank you for making this. I have been requested to make a similar video, and I was wondering how other people are dealing with the waste during quarantine

Thank you for your comment - I think key is to continue reduce what you can but not to get too hung up on it, since a lot of the single use items are there for our protection. :) I am excited to see yours!

@@CoolSustainable Thats very true!! I think Immy from Sustainably Vegan put it very well, we need to lower our expectations overall. Be kinder to ourselves

It's easier using zero waste reusable items than going out to buy disposable options. I'm using my zero waste period kit right now. Also bought some solid shampoo yesterday. Stay healthy! 🌺 Heidi

For sure! Especially if you already have them! Getting and hoarding a menstrual cup takes less money and space :)

I have sewn family cloths- 4 inch squares of double thickness old t- shirts sewn together around a quarter inch in. Use for pee only and put in a wet bag. Wash in the washer and no there is no smell! Hoping to get a bidet attachment soon!
