Fun fact: We have Frankie Valli And The Four Seasons because a young future star named Joe Pesci used to cut Frankie's hair and introduced him to the keyboardist.
Wow, what year would that have been?
Interesting
@@rinohunter6190 He was friends with Valli and Tommy DeVito. He introduced them to Bob Gaudio in 1959.
@@therabidscorpion they all grew up in the same area in new jersey amazing and the rest is rock and roll history
Frankie used to cut hair, not Joe Pesci... Pesci was just from the neighborhood and introduced Frankie, Tommy and Nick to Bob
Sitting in the car with Barney my dog this song came on the radio while my old man was getting us some late night food at a hotdog joint one Friday night back in '75......I miss them both. .
Although this jam is almost 47 years old, it's still rocking today in 2022. It sounds as good as it did when it came out in 1975.😷🖐
I remember when this song came out. And, yes, it is still rocking today in 2022 as it did in 1975. 🤩🎶
@@thepurplecrescent The truth is, it is a jewel of rolona. hahahahahahahahahahahahaha. Greetings and take care of yourself. 🤛
@@thepurplecrescent some songs really stand the test of time and this classic is just one of them
What is there to say about this song ... simply top class
@@GILLY56ify Without a doubt. Blessings.
WOW. I loved this song for around 20 years but never knew Frankie Valli And The Four Season made it. I thought it was a one hit wonder R&B group.
That's Because You Don't Have Both Oars In The Water
My guilty pleasure...I loved this song to pieces in the 70s. None of my cool friends knew.
This will always be a great song.
Fact!
23 it’s 3am just finished watching jersey boys the movie for the 2nd time had to throw this on. One of My favorites. Someone invent time travel NOW
great movie, and amazing soundtrack. when i watched it, i also had to go on yt and hear the originals ahaha
If time travel ever exists, just know I’ll never exist in the present time, ever again. ❤️
I was a little girl of only 5yrs & this was my late mother’s favorite song. The nostalgia it brings back...the harvest gold & avocado kitchen decor, deep shag rugs & the hi fi stereo playing this song on a 45rpm record that was so thick & was as brittle as glass...
i was 6 when i discovered this song on my own I am currently ten I will turn 11 this year. i am mostly into songs from this time. What year was it when you were 5?
@@WilliamSkywalker Sorry I didn’t see this comment until just now as I was listening to this. I was 4 & 5 in 1975. I’m now 51 & this reminds me of my childhood so much. My mom loved singing this song to us back then. I have a playlist of music from the 70’s that I listen to when I miss my parents. So glad you found this song! Not many kids your age gets to hear songs like this. You have excellent music taste 🥰
Cool memories ! Thanks for sharing !!
@@WilliamSkywalker A true rock & roll boy!
@@WilliamSkywalker I remember listening to this before school in 75
This reminds me of going to the mall with my mother in the late 70s it was night and the lights were blue in the record shop😁
I'm a MIAMI DOLPHIN FAN!!! Every time I hear this song, I think of the MIAMI DOLPHINS!!!!! Thanks to the Jersey Boys for giving this Texan a memory for a lifetime!!!!! GO DOLPHINS GO!!! GO SPURS GO!!!
This is one of my favorite examples of a group or artist of one era of American popular music making their way into a subsequent era and making it fit like a hand in a glove without losing themselves in the process. This, "December 1963" and the theme from Grease are as awesome as "Big Girls Don't Cry", "Hold On to What We've Got" and "Walk Like a Man".
Bro I was listening to one of my old playlists and right as I read “big girls don’t cry” big girls don’t cry came on the speaker
Awesomeness, @@WINTERLINE1776! 🤟
So very true. Gerry Polci made a great addition to this group.
I do not know how many times I listened to this song but I can tell you I am still listening to it in 2020! 💿📀😄
i hear you , Karen!!
Charted in the UK in September 1975 (yikes, that's when I started school). I think it was Top 5.

Lucky you.
Brings back the 70s to me too. What a decade!!
Remember the scarf and ring thing, worn around your neck?
Pet rocks?
Glow in the dark velvet posters
Lava lamps

All growing up in the 60’s and 70’s
✌️❤️🌴👍😀🇺🇸
Me, too. We had great music in the 70’s.
I love this song. One of my favorite Four Seasons songs. Rag doll and Walk like a man are close seconds.
My eyes adored you, one of my faves.
One of my all time favorite songs
god damn it.. this song was so ahead of its time
Right up there with "Live and Let Die", Paul McCartney & Wings...and THAT BASS! Dude's been rocking that Bass for ever! Matter of fact, think I'll back to back them on my playlist!
70's rules...!!!
Graduated in 75 ! No need to say more! Thank GOD I'm still here, Doing Great!
This is a masterpiece 🎵
Frankie Valli Great Masterpiece Of 4 seasons.
My baby doesn’t feel well…so of course I’m singing this to her. Pray for my baba
Having a bad day? Not after this!!!
Loved this song for over 40 years !
Love this group very much. Just got my ticket 🎟 to see Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons in person. This is the first time I will see them in person. I never got a chance to see them when I was a teenager in the 60's. I am so excited 😁 😆 I just can't wait. See you in December Mr. Valli.
I see everyone on each one of their songs saying it one of the best of their songs. Lets just say every one of them is their best.
A song that has withstood the test of time!
Lost track of the times I heard this song on the radio back in the day, still enjoying it today!
I love the fat bass in this song--it really kicks!
Mr. Joe Long playing those bass lines

Truly a rock and roll band that has stood the test of time with so many great songs bring back request radio so we can reenjoy our favorites!!
Brings back Sweet memories of high school ❤
is it just me or do the first 13-14 sec of the song sound like 80's kind of music? I'm shook
Highly unlikely
Definitely has some disco influences in it
Those Jersey guys have a California-style pop hit song!
Sheer classic!! Reminds me of the 80s on our holiday in the isle of wight!! Playing this in the tent outside on our relations garden! 😄
Ahh the precious memories of 1975, junior year of high school, hormones bouncing, hickeys flourishing, harmless weed, keg parties, and we were just beginning. Oh man where did these days go? TAKE ME BACK, TAKE ME BACK I TELL YA. Awesome times,,,,,bye !👉❤🍺❤🍷❤🍸👈
Yes I’m 14 and here I have good music taste Thank my dad.

Lyrics;
Who loves you, pretty baby,
Who’s gonna help you through the night
Who loves you, pretty mama,
Who’s always there to make it right
Who loves you
Who loves you, pretty baby,
Who’s gonna love you, mama,
Who loves you, pretty baby
When tears are in your eyes and you can’t find the way
It’s hard to make believe you’re happy when you’re gray
Baby, when you’re feelin’ like you’ll never see the mornin’ light
___come to me, baby, you’ll see
Who loves you, pretty baby,
Who’s gonna help you through the night
Who loves you, pretty mama,
Who’s always there to make it
Who loves you
Who loves you, pretty baby,
Who’s gonna love you, mama,
Who loves you, pretty baby
And when you think the whole wide world has passed you by
You keep on trying but you really don’t know why
Baby, when you need a smile to help the shadows drift away
___come to me, baby, you’ll see
Who loves you,pretty baby,
Who’s gonna help you through the night
Who loves you, pretty mama,
Who’s always there to make it
Who loves you
Who’s gonna love you, love you
Who’s gonna love you
These lyrics are indicative of the 60's .....how I grew up thinking about men....good men, who love their ladies ,take care of them....it's a feel good song that still speaks to me ....
Saw the broadway musical of this as a very young kid always loved there music afterwards and have watched the movie now 29 and in the middle of my 30 time
I freaking love this song I’m 31
Me too! I’m 30 😂 my mama used to play this song
One of my All time favourite song by the four seasons. Is silverstar..brilliant
i love this song
It's Fall 1975; and "Who Loves You", eventually gets my day off to a good start, after my nighttime sleep disorders kick in! My DJ Pat Moody, would spin this record; I remember the opening part today!!
Memories. Southern women are the best. 🥰
The first song to know about Four Seasons
I love your stories
I was 7 yo when this song was new. i remember buying the 45 and playing it over and over on my record player. I'm 56 now and love this song just as much as I did in 1975.

I was a head banger in 80s but love this song
This song (Who Loves You) and Big Girls don't cry are the best songs that came from Frankie Valli and the 4 Seasons.
This song stopped me from taking my life when I was struggling as a boy of 11 yrs old

For those wondering, the musicians are lead vocalist Frankie Valli, guitarist-backing vocalist John Paiva, bassist-backing vocalist Don Ciccone, drummer-backing vocalist Gerry Polci, pianist-keyboardist-backing vocalist Bob Gaudio, and keyboardist Lee Shapiro.
Yes mike!!!!!! THE FOUR SEASONS !!!!! Whoo!!! Hoo !!!!!!
UMMMMMMMM NO MIKE !!!!!! On this track JOE LONG is on bass and background vocals!!! Don is on guitar. John Pavia is in the (seasons band)at this time. It was the Last four seasons recording with JOE LONG on bass in the FOUR SEASONS.
@@eugeneschulte4950 Hmm, the album credits made no mention of Joe Long, whatsoever.
@@michaelglickman1300 Yes!! you are correct. the L.P. does not mention Joe Long in the credits. If you would see an interveiw with Lee Shapiro. Lee states the the song WHO LOVES YOU was recorded and released before the L.P. was. Joe Long who was on that recording was, lets say( removed from the band) before the L.P. release. So even though Joe was on bass on who loves you. He was not a member by the time the l.p. was released. So NO!! Joe Long is not mentioned anywhere on the L.P. cover. It's one of the SAD stories of The Four Seasons history. Joe Long was on bass for every Four Seasons track. From OPUS 17 in 1966, to WHO LOVES YOU in 1975.
Trip down memorylane to a happy time in my life
WOW, maravillosa. La estaba buscando.
Every time my eyes spot an animal..."who loves you....."
i don't recall any one covering this...which is surprising as great as this is, especially the extended version.
This song just sticks in my head. Bob Gaudio with his wife wrote it. Sept 2022. Yes still listening.
この歌マジ大好き
