This baby does look too young but then he does seem to have lost the reflex that pushes food out of mouth. That is one indication that they are developed enough to eat. I say trust the parents.
Agreed .. we began 4.5 months solids with beef carrots brocoli and potato boiled in the water and puree few drops of lemon juice and she loved every bite
He can't fall of of anything, like a table by accident, if he is on the ground. That's the way we were taught by hospital to do. Of course this was 30 years ago, but it does still apply, I think.

Each mother prepare own kid for keeped life on CRAP fast food and restaurant food. and They shock if own kid get health problem, she care for kid each day fresh fast food, . Good for you but not all mom's have access to fresh vegetables and a blender. You are too judgemental. Also some mom's do not have time to make baby food and have to buy baby food in a jar. Baby food in a jar is not fast food
You should never feed a baby laying on its back!! Also when you feed the baby it should be eye level with you! A highchair for the baby to sit in and a chair for you in front of the baby is best for spoon feeding!
