Definitely a 10/10 for me, it’s in my top 3 all time favorite anime ranked at number 3. You should definitely watch it, even if you don’t upload reactions on CZcams, it’s just so good!
Even if it has it's ups and downs and , in my oppinion , it can't be compared with Naruto , Bleach , Demon Slayer etc ,for me fairy tail it's a 10/10

People hate on fairy tail for no reason, it’s an amazing anime!
To be honest . Fairy tail is a good show for its genre. The hate is something like naruto most people like to hate it bcz its being hated . Sure the problems exists in this anime like other anime's the fanservise tho for me was the most bad thing in the series . Its there as comedy but keeps being a bit meh after some time. Also for the power of friendship is its main source , like naruto,one piece, black clover and all the other anime of the same category. Its story is verry nice (its also on going with the 100 year quest wchich is a lot better from the old ft .) . If you want an anime with cool fights, nice story , comedy, feels you should watch it .
And above all fantastic and loveable characters. :P

The hate started when it became repeatable a little and the last arc had many incoherent fights and the famous friendship power was overused a little as well as the over the top fan service at the end but to be fair it was no biggy there is a lot of emotions throughout the series, epic moments and at a moment it was even anime of the year and 4th on weekly shonen jump , the hate for fairy tail is overexagerrated to a point where it became a laughing stock for almost little to no reason in between fans whom didn’t even watch it

Its the most serious arc in the whole series. Its the arc that reveals MANY plot twists. Its the arc with the strongest villains. Its the arc that, out of the 30 episodes it takes up, probably all 30 of them are sad. Its the best arc EASILY.
Despite what people say I will always love fairytail , it's like a part of me. I literally grew up watching it and it's like a family to me the whole Guild . I love all the characters and just the storyline in general . people can say whatever they want about it but It won't change my mind about it since I've been watching it since I was a little kid , it means everything to me and will always be my number one favorite anime .

It is a pretty solid anime with a massive fandom. Some feel like it doesn’t deserve it’s popularity so it becomes a target for hate. Usually dismissing it with something, power of friendship, something.. A lot anime are guilty of that trope but Fairy Tail has become notorious for it.

I think, the main issue that people have would be the power of friendship and plot armour. But honestly, I dont care about the plot armour, and the power of friendship part? Well they literally said that love was the primordial magic, and friendship is another form of love.

If a show stays true to its "self build rules" i think it is ok to have plot armour, power of friendship, or whatever they want. I think the worst is if you do a Game of Thrones principle/rule flip which just doesn't fit what it was before.
This anime will always be number one in my heart, even if I think I like an anime better then FT FAIRY TAIL JUST HITS DIFFERENT!!!! Nothing beats it, it makes me want to cry just even thinking about how much I love it

Don't skip any episodes even if they are "filler", they show a lot of the background characters and their personalities etc. More backstory for some main characters (the fillers are also referenced in the anime and manga and even the ova's and movies btw) so technically FT doesn't have "fillers"

I really like it, the hate is because of some youtubers who spoke a lot of crap about it, but lately many good and popular youtubers started reacting to it and they are really enjoying it, so people are realizing how amazing the show actually is, I personally think it's one of the best animes ever

Like seriously what other anime is there not a main character the entire guild is the main character there's main characters there is no main character sure Natsu is one who defeats the big bad guys but it follows the story of Lucy and her progression and the whole thing just makes you feel like you're apart of the Guild it makes you feel welcome and that's why it will forever be my favorite ( oh and it was quenched my thirst for magical stuff better than any other thing has)

Fairy Tail was great, I don't even recall the start being that slow I just stuck with it and just really enjoyed the characters. I also love Bleach and I'm enjoying Black Clover which seems like a mix of Bleach and Fairy Tail lol. For some reason these anime get alot of hate. Like everybody says Bleach gets bad after the Soul Society arc but in my opinion the Arrancar arc is best arc in the series.

Actually, the opening of Fairy Tail Zero depicts the founding of Fairy Tail, before even Makarov(the current master) was born.
People hates fairy tail because of certain things such as
-too much fanservice( for me its totally fine i like seeing boobas)
-The power of friendship(didnt One piece,Bleach, and Naruto also uses the same thing? I thing they are biased)

As for the black haired dude that keeps showing up, he's one of the most important characters in the show, won't say his exact role for you because you might not want to be spoiled, so I'll just say he's an *important* fella.

Eden's Zero is an ongoing manga by the same author. It has a lot of similarities with Fairy Tail but actually explores deeper and more serious topics within a Space/Time plot
Honestly, it's really good. There are just times that it feels boring but I can definitely say that you won't regret watching it. I will rate fairytail 8.9 , the 1.1 is for Erza who I expected to show new Armor in the last season when she fight Irene who has a connection to her. don't wanna spoil
Fairy Tail was never bad people call it bad because they expect Shounen show to not have power of friendship when that thing is the entire reason Shounen as genre and demographic exists also most people that call fairy Tail bad didn't watch it past 30 episodes or something and they missed the good parts of it and also it really brings the hype after Season 4 also Music in Fairy Tail is just topnotch I personally wouldn't compare it to One Piece mainly because the anime community for some reason loved to accuse Hiro Mashima (Writer of Fairy Tail) to copy One Piece people even tried to accuse him of copying Red Haired Shanks into Gildarts the brown haired guy which was of course fake rumors that people spread to defame the series main point of me rambling all of this is its a great Action, Shounen, Fantasy, Adventure series with hints of Romance sprinkled here and there it has 328 episodes with 9 OVAs 2 Movies which are important to watch first movie before Season 5 and second movie before Season 9 also most people don't realise a very simple thing and that is if this show wasn't popular or wasn't any good then of course it won't have so many episodes right but people just don't like logic these days anyways Lucy and Natsu, Grey and Juvia, Gajeel and Levy and Erza and Jellal are all Canon Ships that do get together but for Natsu and Lucy its very subtle to the point that Hiro Mashima couldn't even show one Kiss of their's before the story ends so He started writing another continuation series of the manga known as Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest which is continuing right now
In my opinion Fairy Tail is a good anime and it's one that I will always love despite it's partial mediocracy. It really depends on how critical you are with anime. People like to complain about "plot armor" and "fanservice" but if those things don't bother you, then it's very enjoable. If you allow it to happen, this show can really take you in with it's emotional scenes.
Bonds between friends and family and overcoming hardships in life obviously are very important themes in this show like in most shonen. I always felt like Fairy Tail is pretty much a Fairy Tale for teenagers that is trying to have all kinds of personalities represented by some of the reappearing characters. Fairy Tail isn't as much about complex plottwists and horrifying tragedy as it is about creating and cherishing bonds you make in life.
That's why killing off reappearing characters for good is counterproductive to the theme of the whole anime. It's not about how much the character suffers after their friend has died, but instead it's about how far they're willing to go to protect each other. I do agree however that from a storytelling perspective Hiro Mashima kind of overused the power of friendship for comebacks (Don't get me wrong, the "power of friendship" thing actually makes sense in Fairy Tail's magic system... but still).
XD the thing is, I ALWAYS think about the plot and I hate fan service, but fairy tail just hits different 😆
I really think FT is more about creating your own family, not the ones of blood who are automatically your family, but the ones you MAKE your family. And Ft definitely has a way of making seem like we are one of them. And that’s what the love for this show comes from☝️☝️
Now to criticize: it would’ve been fine to have Makarov die in the end and not bring him back. He’s not even a big character in the sequel unlike Gajeel (hint: 👶) having him die in the end after saving everyone would’ve been SO impactful. It’s different than having him die in the beginning or middle, but having him die in the end would’ve been a good ending. Then there’d be no one who could say “no one dies in Fairy Tail” but sadly, that’s how it went.

I think fairy tail is definitely underrated. my ONLY problem with it is the fan service which increases a lot in the last season.

You are so innocent with the whole "why are you hating on fairy tail" thing. I'll tell you why. It's because the anime community is a dark place where people hate on stuf just because it brings other people joy.
Also if you're going to watch it I recommend starting at episode 21. It's the start of a new arc and does a good job of catching you up with the characters without having to watch the whole thing again.
Just because you like it doesn't mean people can't hate it. If they dislike it, then that's fine. That doesn't suddenly make your experience with it bad.
I personally find it juvenile and disappointing, but it's still fun regardless.
@@vicount3944 disliking something is one thing but there are literally channels on youtube that have built their success off of reacting to fairy tail yet get hate comments regularly telling them how trash the show is. People have tuned in to the Netflix announcement of Eden's zero saying that it will be just as trash as fairy tail and that Mashima is a lazy author.

The last arc is actually my favorite . A lot of people don't like that arc a lot but personally I love that arc so much , all the new characters we were introduced too , more back stories , a rollercoaster of emotions . Just beautiful in my opinion .

If you want something complete serious,with a lot of blood,long fights,outstanding story writing and you are not a fan of "friendship" fairy tail is the wrong anime for you.

I think the main reason why people hate FT is because on how much they rely on the "power of friendship", basically saying as long as you have people you love, you can always become stronger, and that's how Natsu beats most of the main antagonists, which i guess can get a bit boring if that's not your cup of tea. Personally i don't mind it and i don't think it's a bad thing either. What's important when writing a story is to stay relevant to the universe you create, and in FT it is explicitly said and explained that emotions have a direct impact on your magic powers. Someone with a strong heart and powerful emotions is more likely to become a powerful mage. So the "power of friendship" that everyone hates on isn't actually a random thing or just plot armor, it's a direct consequence of how magic works. That's why, while i respect those who don't like it, i genuinely feel like it's undeserved hate since it actually makes sense because of how Mashima designed the concept of magic in his world.
Now i'm not saying everyone should like it, it's not a perfect show ofc, it has some flaws but it's still a very enjoyable story overall, I'm a one piece fan (if my name and profile pic didn't tell you already) and FT is genuinely one of my favorite shows.
Oh and concerning FT Zero, i won't say much because i don't want to spoil anything but it's basically a retro arc that tells you about the guild's creation, with the first members and stuff, so the main characters don't appear in it but it's a very important arc.

Fairy tail is one of the shows the works best at either a TV morning show or you binge watch directly, prob not gonna work on today's weekly episode anime. Because the story is really slow.

Actually i started watching FT because of those OPs (from my experience almost good anime has good OPs so yeah) and just curious why this show got hated so much cz i don't judge a show until i watched it with my own eyes not from what ppl saying. And then i watched it this year (actually i finished it last month) all the 328 eps , all ova and movies and i still don't understand why ppl hated it. Indeed the "power of friendship" had a big role to this show generally because the main theme of the show itself is FRIENDSHIP and FT succeed to deliver that feeling to me at least. It's not the best written story but i lied if i say i didn't enjoy it. I enjoyed it so much every episode of it even the filler and ova. I even started to read the 100 years quest now and waiting for the update.

I love fairy tail but sometimes i understood why people hate on it . It has a bit too much fan service ( most of the time uneeded in serious times ) and the fact that most of the time they don't really earn their power from exp from prev fights or that they don't really train and they get power ups from the power of friendship ( wich isn't out of the fairy tail theme tho because they said a lot of times magic is upped by feelings ) and that's about that 😁
Mashima said he doesn't like training scenes because they are boring which is why he never used them in his works

I fool with fairy tail has one of my fav tournament in it but the power of friendship is ridiculously strong in this anime and it tries to have serious moments (I can't explain without spoiling fr) and try to trick u into believing something serious happen just for power of friendship to negate any since of actual danger if that makes sense

Another too about fairy tail is that we dont see the bigger plot until much later into the series. Openings 10 and 19( and afterwards). Are a perfect example of this. The plot twists were crazy so i do highly recommend this series. God i wanna spoil so bad😆😆😆. The short girl with the ling pastel blonde hair and the black haired guy im the robes are super important. As you may or may not already know. But again. The black haired guy is MAD important.

Fairy Tail overall was a good anime. Personally, I didn't like the last arc (op 23-26) or at least how they went about it and I think other people share the same opinion because it really fell hard on the trope of friendship is power. Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad trope, but for the last battle when there was a lot at stake, I think it would have been better if they didn't use "friendship is power" as plot armor to keep EVERY character safe because it made it feel like the last battle didn't have many high stakes than it was trying to present itself. I feel like if there were at least some sacrifices, it would have made a much bigger impact than it had. Not that I'm saying characters should go away lol but just that it got old really fast when they'd make it seem like we lost a big member after a fight, only for them to be brought back not so long afterward because "the power of friendship can't kill me." It happened too much that I had just started anticipating it every other fight afterward lol. Definitely should watch Fairy Tail all the way through, it just has an unsatisfying ending in my opinion, especially since long-time fans at the time of airing had to wait so long for it to release.

Really don’t know why the hate 😑? Maybe some people just want this anime to compare with the big three naruto, bleach and one piece.that’s really not necessary….
Because at certain point the show pretends to be taken seriously with high stakes on the line for some characters, and out of nowhere they slap you in the face with a big disappointment. And this happens not only once or twice, but multiple times during the entirety of the show. That's why the hate.
But if you want to try to watch it with 0 expectation and accept everything that happens (even random things), then is 100% enjoyable :)

the amount of power of friendship in FT just gives you sense that the main cast will never lose fight, makes me feel personally like its written poorly

Definitely is one of the major downsides of FT. I like to just give it the excuse of the popular explanation: the magic of the world is powered by emotions, and Natsu has more emotion than his opponents 😆 sounds funny when I type it down like this. When I watch it, it doesn’t really stand out until someone points it out (to me, I’ve seen some reactors notice it more than I did when I first watched it). Just don’t think too hard while watching. It’s a feel good anime with great music, aspiring characters, unique characters and back stories, and a lovely inviting feeling of being a part of FT. 👆👆

There are people who hate every anime all for very different reasons. I love Fairy Tail too bits, and doesn't really hate any anime, but I can't really get into example AOT, Death Note or JoJo's, no hate from my side they just doesn't catch my interest.

Aside from JoJo, Death Note and AOT are masterpiece among psychological/thriller anime and Fairy Tail is as far away from that. I guess you just aren't interested in the genre.

Yes the openings are fire but for the aspect of storytelling it falls flat. It’s been referred to as the my little pony of anime because when it comes down to the big fights is based on friendship than actual power every time.
But that makes sense to the themes of the series. Most shounen is about the main character being the best, but Fairy Tail is about the bonds of friends and family.

There's a difference between how the theme of bonds of friends and family are played in anime where it has a beautiful effect on the audience, like in one piece. BUt fairytail dude...is a lost cause. Its an absolute shit show in the final season, honeslty everything before the final season was really good but the final season is actual ass. Like that ending was like someone pulled shit out of their ass and that shit reason is friendship is magic and it will defeat INIFINTE magic that the ultimate antagonist of the whole series, zeref had.

Conversely, just because you think it's good doesn't make it good. For lots of watchers, it can be considered a bad generic shonen with lots of unnecessary fanservice and poorly written characters and plot. Honestly the more anime you watch, the more you can recognize the bad things, hence why new watchers usually think FT is good, then try stuff like One Piece, HxH, FMAB, etc. and change their minds at some point when looking back. And then there are those with lower standards who just consume and like everything (not that there's anything wrong with that). Anyway, all the "my anime is better than yours!" stuff is just silly.

@@ipdfmd1632 people typically hate it because Natsu wins with the power of friendship and determination all the time. not saying other anime don't use it... it's just very blatant in FT. Also how erza is as strong as she is. and the reason fed to the audience is simply because she's erza. Lucy for a large part of the series displayed good character traits up until the final fight in an arc came around then her character kinda just vanished. Gray Stripping got old really fast, but its tolerable. then the supporting cast of characters wasn't the greatest. also don't get me wrong I still liked the show. But you talked on the backstories of the characters... and they are all pretty basic stories... like nobody had a parent that was either alive or worth a damn. while I think the Basic concept for all the character is solid, the expansion on said characters is just lazy. Also fanservice is subjective to the audience so it can be to much for some people. the show isn't bad no. but it's not a generational anime either. also how the power gap between the main team was. like through most if not all the way up to the final arc, Lucy is a literal flea compared to the other MC's. Not to mention the show gives us these sappy backstories about some side characters like Loki, or Mirjane and her family... and right after they do that person doesn't get more screen time they're just thrown to the wayside. and they aren't memorable. the show has so many wonderful things about it... it just has some really bad parts of it too. like the hyping up of characters just to have natsu have little to no trouble against them. Eragor is his name I think. he's a shadow guild leader and they hyped him up so much before he got one shot by natsu. the ending is really just okay. and 100 year quest... im not even going to get into. me like a lot of other fans of the show and manga just dropped it. poorly written new characters, and no real character progression at the start, not to mention the start is really slow. IMO the show is good but I can really understand where someone is coming from when they say they hate it.
@@chiefgaming7692 I hear all the time the power of friendship but when does he uses that tipycally he gets his ass kicked then come backs hard against the opponent so esencially just either gets stronger out of nowhere but power of friendship? does he gets reminded of his friends each time he defeat an opponent that was initially winning? the determination part could be more likely but also when he gets angrier wich = to more adrenaline and people irl get a boost in strenght during moments like that so is not like is not logical how he got a boost in power.
It gets hate because all the big youtuber guys decided it sucks and should be hated for stuff other anime do aswell 😂

i like watching fairy tale but the power of friendship in battles was over used even i had to take a break from watching at around opening 6 or 7(wendy introduction). natsu from what i remember he never really got a power up while the rest has their own mini power up. it took me around 3months before i continue watching again and thats only season1 anime.
you should, you should really give it another try. maybe i am biased bc its my childhood but it really gets better and better with every season. i know its a lot of fan service and power of friendship plot but if you can see past that its a really good show
