I had the same issue with my seats sitting to high, but I went with the edge seat rail/bracket. But I also have different mounts because mine were replaced in the 80’s and they are a different height for the stock seat.
Ive been binge watching your datsun build from the first ever vid ever since I stumbled across one of your vids a few days ago and Im really loving the series. BTW regarding your difficulty with removing the intake manifold from previous vids, have you considered going for a triple carb setup (like weber 45s or 48s)? It will definitely make removing and installing the intake quicker, it will clean up the look of the engine bay, and with the right tuning I think you may get some more bhp. plus they look and sound WAY cooler! God bless
Thanks I'm glad you've been enjoying the build! I've been thinking about whats next for the 280z and this is definitely on the list but I'm not 100% sure yet.
Haha I agree but they are definitely needed if I want other people to be able to drive the zee! Hard mounting them without rails would be the easiest option.
Loved seeing your process for the seat rails, looks great!
Do you have a link for those seat rails?

Thanks for the videos. Keep them coming!!
And thanks for the tip on the website.
What I want to know is where can I get the demogorgon light
I have an old set of the seats in my Integra, who reupholstered your seats they look good
Bolt a thick (2") black leather belt to the old arm rest holes. That will be pretty durable, and will allow you to close the door too.

When you changed car seats did he give you more room in the car
Seat rails are horrible. Very complicated and you need to put the seat in and take it out again like a million times to see where you are.

New Dimension Motorsports yeah and I think you made decent brackets. Well done.
