Manny Pacquaio is seen here as filmed January 29, 2010 by FightFan.com's Ace Freeman in a lighter moment in training. Pacquiao, who cites influence from the legendary Bruce Lee, can be seen incorporating the late great martial artist's style and footwork in to his shadow boxing and practicing of movements.

If you watch how Manny dodges in and out when he throws combos to open up his opponents defense.. I get chills because that was one of Bruce's main philosophies when it comes to boxing.. mixing it with western fencing techniques as far as footwork and working off of the lead and power side (which in this case is both their right hands while standing south paw).. two great fighters !

Manny Pacquiao is an athlete and tournament fighter in boxing.
Bruce lee was a phenomenon in this world, he was a teacher,a philosopher/thinker,wise was he,
And he studied and learnd almost some of the biggest martial art forms and created a philosophy of it or so called Tao of Jeet kune do, and oh i forgot he was like a perfectionist, and a hell of an actor.
He was also an inventor,he invented training machines, and was not an ordinary man,he was like the greatest streetfighter ever.

Bruce Lee (Wingchun) did exchanged ideas and techniques with his friend a Filipino named Dan Inosanto (Arnis/Kali/Eskrima), Inosanto had learned FMA from various Filipino Martial Arts Guro (teacher) from the Philippines; and as far as I know, Bruce incorporated into some degree FMA to his weapons fighting aspect of Jeet Kune Do. Inosanto also learned Silat from the Malay people (Malaysia,Indonesia,Philippines).

@ SouthFultonClick We have been following he's career ever since he was young, as Manny back then was already competing at an early age and most of his fights were being televised here on local TV.
And Manny was already a crowd favorite whenever he fights due to his aggressive style but he lacked polishing back then that Freddie Roach was able develop him later on.
Manny only has boxing experience but you're right.. that doesn't mean he can't crossover to another sport, because IMO... he can.

I hope that clarifies everything up, the show was televised here in the Philippines and watched by many.

Bruce try'd his hand at boxing; but had a rough time at first, adapting to not being able to throw kicks and what not. Read some of Bruces books. If it wasn't for Bruce Lee martial arts in America wouldn't be where they are today. He was sort of the mma of his time, mixing many fighting arts, creating his own. Then again the greeks were probably the first mixed martial artists introducing Pankration into the olympics in 648 BC. Regarless Pac Man is an amazing fighter and Bruce was also.
