#Buckethead Pike 65 - Hold Me Forever
A long one. Impeccable.
Let me back this guy up here. It's dedicated to his departed mother, and it's nearly 30 minutes of the most amazing, emotional, powerful, shredding guitar work you'll ever hear.
To add to that, it might actually be the best song he's ever written and recorded. @@Ashitaka1110
A mesmerizing genius he is! I was lucky enough to see him live on New year's Eve a couple of years ago. What a privilege.
Bucketheads melodic solos are really second to none. He really is a genius. An absolute pleasure to watch, I hope he stays healthy and tours Canada.
That would be awesome! Listened to a lot of BH a few years ago but haven't for a while and this re-blew my mind. The melodies in his leads are just so good and memorable
Every live version is different😁
Buckets ebb and flow and the escalation to crescendo gives his music life, soul, emotion. Like an artists portrait but in music. Amazing.. Beautiful...
#buckethead - pike 65.... Come on! Its his best song
Yes please!!
Fenri s agreed
These kind of performances are the reason I will go see Buckethead any time he comes to my city! One of the greats!
Yes more buckethead please! And if possible more Ghost! Love from Brazil
they did mate.... go for Jordan :)
Yesss!!!!! Buckethead=love
He's amongst the few musicians of any instrument that makes you have an out-of-body experience, every single time he plays. When you watch and hear him play, you are no longer you; you are everything! Dream tour would be: Buckethead, Tool, & Animals As Leaders!!! Especially if/when Matt Garstka and Danny Carey collaborate and duel-drum... epic cosmic rhythmic proportions coupled with omnidirectional melodies between Tosin Abasi, Javier Reyes, Adam Jones, Justin Chancellor, and Buckethead (who also plays phenomenal bass) just transcendent-allness! "You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one."
Hell yeah, always love some Buckethead.
The live at Mishawaka, WI is by far the best and most epic version of this song. He played out of body that whole show.
You should react to "soothsayer", its a beautiful song of buckethead.
aml 1001 did it already!
@@Kel.N.RichReactions the live version is better
This guy is definitely underrared. One heck of a guitarist!
#Darkwater Alive (Pt. II) Chattanooga, TN. Nice to have you back with us again Rich and Kel! This song is not only awesome from a purely musical standpoint. It also addresses an ever-increasing epidemic in our current day: suicide. Would love to see you react to it! Great, great band. You will love it! God bless
Buckethead - Padmasana
One of his best song up to date
Please react to it guys, absolutely wonderful instrument
This is one of my Buckethead favorites. It is also on of the hardest songs to learn to play due to the complexity (you will need to learn his "nubbing" technique). Also you need to have a killswitch pedal or a built - in killswitch if you want to get close. When I heard this, I thought "How did he come up with this?" Buckethead creates the music I would make if I had his talent and abilities.
I love buckethead😍and greetings from germany🥳. My favorite guitar player. Stay healthy buckethead and god bless you 🙏🏾🤲🏾and Kel'N'Rich too
So glad y'all are still here! I'm with you both always, no matter what format you end up having to take!!
Thanks for sharing your impressions of Buckethead. Another Gem of creativity to appreciate. Cheers!
That hand stretch is insane
I'd love to see you two wearing buckets on your heads! That was funny, Kel. Cheers.
While it is distorted I actually love the improv on this compared to cleaner mixes of live performances on CZcams.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR VIDEO! AND YOUR WISDOM! I GET IT !THANK YOU
certain parts of this remind me of 'all along the watchtower'
Holy crap!
Really loving your videos guys!! Hold me forever for sure! Also, Redeem Team and Swomee Swan for some excellent shorter songs! Keep it up!
please learn the #JasonBecker story you will be touched
And react to his Valley Of Fire

#Buckethead - (Pike 65) Hold Me Forever
He's on a whole other level.
Lol..that was great
My favourite live-performance of all time!
Brings back memories of not being able to do the stretch at 2.50^^
If you like improvisation C2B3 is worth a look - features Buckethead on Guitar.
Night of the sklunk by Buckethead. So much talent. Then hit up his guitar teacher Paul Gilbert “Kate is a Star” and “down in Mexico”
Siege Engine, Buckethead. Album, Albino Slug. Also Pike #108, Collect Itself. Among many others.
Nice vídeo but i need MORE buckethead!!!!!!!!
You guys should do the studio version of final wars next!
#Buckethead #painintheask
(Copied my original comment from your other Buckethead reactions, hope that's alright) :)
Ah Buckethead. Where to even begin with this versatile guitar god. With such an enormous catalogue there is really something for everyone to enjoy. I will list some of my favorites that I think you should check out:
- "Hold Me Forever (In memory of my mom Nancy York Carroll) - Pike 65" --- If you are up for it, this 30 minute album sounds like a single epic song that is a must-listen for any Buckethead fan. In this he has so many various melodic solos, while still managing to tie it all together. This album really shows off his creative and musical skill. (28.37 min)
- "Padmasana - Electric Tears" --- Electric Tears is one his more quiet and emotional albums, containing no drums at all. I think Padmasana does a fantastic job at showing a side of Buckethead that many people do not see. No shredding or high tempo solos, just him and his guitar doing amazing, emotional storytelling. An absolute personal favorite. (11.39 min)
- "For Mom - Colma" --- Colma is the first Buckethead album I ever heard and every song on it is a gem to me. He made the album for his mom when she was in the hospital, recovering from colon cancer. The songs are more down-tempo, pleasant and joyful, although you can feel the sadness he must have gone through as well. For Mom is a prime example of that. (5.10 min)
- "Nottingham Lace - Enter the Chicken" --- A Buckethead classic. Excellent live version here: czcams.com/video/vYxrdrzmuUw/video.html
(Very) honorable mentions:
- "Leave the Light On - Pike #66" (13.06 min)
- "Machete - Colma" (6.17 min)
- "Worms for the Garden - Pike #26" (18.36 min)
- "Sail on Soothsayer (in memory of Aunt Susie) - Decoding the Tomb of Bansheebot (6.29 min)
- "Fourneau Cosmique - Pike #274" (11.49 min)
These are just few of many, but a good starting point :-)
Hi guys. Greeting from Canada. If you are gonna do the buckets ya gotta do the masks and wigs also!
Listen to his live jam with him and his band mate Brain. It should be called Buckethead an Brian jam. You won’t be disappointed

Rich! Man! (8:12) Check "Post Office Buddy" by Buckethead ... I catch a real similar tone on your voice haha!
BTW! React to the "Scraps" live version with Brain Mantia and Pete Scaturro (August 17th, 1996) ... Tons of feellings and shred 🔥
Best regards from Argentina!
Thank you Salem!!!!! I see you man. I will def do that. When KnR returns, we’ll give her a first reaction. Much love from south Florida to you in Argentina
Buckethead is insane. In the best possible way.
Next is Whitewash live. The emotional version by Buckethead.

#RADAKKA Masquerade. Bahia, Brazil. I listened to this song when my first child was born.

#SerpentsEve Cathedral Chile.
#BigMamaThorton Everything Is Gonna Be Alright.
How much time would you have to expend to listen every single song ever released for this man? He probably records songs in his sleep...
you guys are soo cute XD
Just wanted to say the dude in the front is wearing an Alabama Crimson Tide hat, ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!!! Ha, sorry I had to!
React to Jettison by Buckethead (parts 1-6)
Good suggestion 👍
Thats a triple rectifier
#Buckethead - Too Many Humans
This is a terrible recording with bad audio, many better versions out there. How about songs like Lebron or Final wars next time
Agree, horrible version...
It sounds really bad here. Too bad there isn't a soundboard version because I think this is his finest version on CZcams
#Buckethead Scraps Live 2 29 96
Warning! Buckethead Will Steal Your Heart ❤
Please react to songs ANATHEMA - Lost Child and also ANATHEMA - A Simple Mistake and Flying from Universal dvd :-) You will be crying like a young boy and girl. I swear ♥
React To steelheart Donw and dirty
You need (really need) to react at pike #65. Never in your life will expend 30 min like that...
Please react to #FrankZappa Watermelon in Easter hay.
#Buckethead - Disintegration mirrors
#Buckethead - Crack the Sky
#Buckethead - Final Wars
You will not regret this :-)
It helps to be six foot seven with long fingers.
Order!.....oooordeer! Silence! Buckethead is in da house!
Listen and just shut up!
The greatest guitarist that's alive and prosper. Rip Shawn Lane (the best there was).
Life Pro Tip: Get a woman that looks at you like Kel looks at Rich.
You guys rock. Love your videos.
why arnt you my parents
Mcsteveberry oh man! Sorry we couldn’t swing that in the past. What a compliment. Looks like we need Bill and Ted’s phone booth to go back in time and make this happen.
Buckethead live is much more improv than the songs.. I don't like most live reactions. His creativity and melodies and songs shine best in studio.
He is a tone God, Live performances are extremely limiting in his tone, his studio tones, like you heard in Eerie Canal are amazing.
I would recommend at least hearing, if not reacting to the original Nottingham Lace
#DeathAngel Lost official video
Ah, this is a bootleg recording! Did anyone expect soundboard quality?
That's not the best version of Nottingham lace, there's a killer one on here where some guy yells thank you for coming Buckethead at the beggining
Not the best version of Nottingham lace :(
It's a bad recording but the improv here is one of my favorites. It would be awesome if somebody could remaster it.
Hes not real Rich! Rofl. Seeing him live for the first time about a year ago, just before the plandemic, my wife and I were just stunned!
This is a terrible version...wtf🤦♂️🤦♂️
Huge4Guitar yeah I much prefer the studio studio version or the other one
More Buckethead? Cmon now! Just one #AvengedSevenfold song is not too much to ask? 😂🤘🏻Synester Gates/guitar god!
Not sure who's sending you these last couple of links... but no. Just no. These songs need a do-over. This is Buckethead - Nottingham Lace as he intended czcams.com/video/gr9Qjyvz9wM/video.html
technical virtuosity at it's finest. didn't feel a lick of it though.
This recording is complete cringe
Nikhil Varghese exactly listen to the studio version or any other version. Argh
The studio version is godly
Awful!!!!!
00:18 even I felt that all the way from California 🤣🤣 💪🏼✊🏽
