This was not what I was expecting in attempting this Dutch Pour

This was a catastrophic fail, I should have re-checked the consistency of my paints, should have been slightly thinner including the base and why did I add the yellow. Anyway, I need to pull my socks up, I feel like I have taken several steps back, sorry to let you all down as well as myself.

I ended up throwing the cheap white tube paints out but at the same time threw out my tube if Pebeo Oriental Purple as they were the same colour tubes 😳🤪😆 thanks for watching 😊✨🫶🏻

I like the yellow. But I feel the purple looks a bit flat. But that could just be how I'm viewing it. You haven't failed. The thing is, a lot of newbies will have things go wrong, and it's nice that someone with more experience isn't afraid to show that art is not always perfect. And like in nature, you come across flaws. A very good attempt. Thankyou for sharing. ❤ xxx

@@DeannaMiller-kw4px thanks De, a year in I shouldn’t be making these mistakes, Paints were on the thick side so not gliding but no matter, I scraped it all off and will reuse the canvas and the paint will be used as a flow extender so no wastage

Kat thanks for sharing your knowledge. I am new to fluid art and have many muddy canvases. I have subscribed to you and although you weren't happy with this result it's as useful to learn from others mishaps as it is to their perfections ! I will be back ! ❤ ps I still like the result !!

Looks like towards the end you got your mojo and scooped some of that base coat up and incorporated it into your blow, that really seemed to help. I think it's pretty

Kat colours are lovely. I have the little blue hair dryer and I found that it dried paints too quickly before I created my designs. I will try just paints and water next time I think and see if paints move better. I also have the mini blower with attachments which blows cool air, bought on Etsy, I'm in uk. Hope this helps 😊🎉

@@Rainbowsandswirls47 Brilliant thanks for watching, I’m in UK too. I like the hairdryer but it only has 2 speed settings and no heat settings so makes sense in what you say, I’ll look into the mini blower and will definitely just use paint and water next time 😊✨🫶🏻

The paints don't seem to move well. What setting do you use on your hairdryer? I love the colors and the layout. I can't even do this much yet.

It’s such a shame, you really tried hard to carry on. But l think you were not going to get anywhere. Don’t know if is just me, but when you started it, you did not have the attachment on the dryer, and it was blowing things all over the place. When you put it on, you had more movement. I think it would have been great if you had spread it out a bit. 👩‍🎨
