- Should Dak take less? Damien Woody doesn’t think so. Which is especially troubling coming from a player who played at an undervalued position during his career. If his mindset prevails then, now we know why players never seem to get paid, if they’re not QB’s.

great take. I think if it's another disappointing year the divorce should happen. Someone else could pay for the QB they never had and the cowboys could save money on the rest of their team and work to find the next guy who can do what Dak can't.

They could’ve gotten a head start on finding a guy that can do what Dak can’t… if they decided against giving him that deal after his injury. That was their chance.

Yes you are right. If someone else needs a QB and Dak is held in high regards, let them take him on. What Dak doesn't understand is his market ain't that great outside of Dallas. He needs to be humbled.
Yes he should take less. He should follow in the footsteps of players that are better than him that have actually won something in a Patrick Mahomes. He should help make sure that he has the players around him to continue to "succeed" in Dallas. The contract he signs is indicative of what he cares about. We all know what Dak Prescott cares about. $$$

Washington shows some guts and let him walk. Dallas should do the same. And by the way, how many NFC title game appearances for Dak? How many for Kirk? Don’t compare Dak to Kirk.
Where has Kirk Cousins won anything? No one has stolen more money in this league for doing absolutely nothing than Kirk Cousins. He is being paid on par with Patrick Mahomes and he has never won anything and never been a top 5 QB. That is the fault of the teams that continue to sign him.

It's a cap league. It doesn't matter how much the franchise makes, you cannot go over the cap. If Dak worries about himself, THE TEAM LOSES BRUH. Is your job to make money or is it to win? If it is to make money first, Dak is doing a heck of a job. If it is to win, he has never done his job. He has been a major reason why they don't win, both in terms of his cap hit, and his poor play on the field.
Dak should leave
From the standpoint of the Cowboys, absolutely. He should have been gone in 2020. If Dak bets on himself and engineers an exit, he will find how much he was carried by the Cowboys franchise. The man is nowhere near as good as he thinks he is.
