How Chinese Chefs cook Crispy Chilli Beef (Easy Version) 🔥🐮 Mum and Son Professional Chefs cook!

  • Crispy Chilli Beef is one of those dishes that I always order when I'm not working, and its much easier to make at home than you'd think. This recipe for crispy beef is completely different for the recipe we've shown before, this is more of the easy versions takeout and takeaways will make, but it doesn't make it any less tasty, just different, which is a good thing in our eyes. The only thing in this recipe I'd change would be adding pineapple, most places won't add it, but I love the flavour of the pineapple chunks in this sauce. Make sure to comment what you'd like to see us make next, it really helps us decide what content to make the direction the channel goes. Oh and I forgot to mention this dish is also called Crispy Shredded Chilli Beef, so this is the same thing. This chilli sauce is also used for crispy chilli chicken, and you can make it on its own as a dipping sauce for French fries or chips, personally I love making BBQ spare ribs and then coating them in this sauce.

    A few days ago i had " Fried shredded beef, stir-fried with sweet
    chili, paprika, leek, garlic, sesame seeds & spring onion"(Copied and translated from the Menu), and it was really great. I want to cook some myself at home and come as close as possible to that same recipe as it was so good. I haven't actually tried other versions yet and couldn't possibly say that it is the "best" one out there because that would be beyond ignorant. I am learning from your video right now and will try this one in a few days and see what i think as this seems really good also.

      My little brother killed himself a couple of years ago. One of the things he left specifically for me was a copy of your Chinese Cooking Bible signed by you and your mum, with handwritten notes inside on the changes he made to your recipes.
      I'd told him about your channel and how great I think it is. Your first book is pretty precious to me now, because it's part of my memories of my brother.

      Can't remember where I read it now but - cut spring onion into lengths of about 2 in/5cm. Then cross-cut several times for around 1/2in/5mm at each end and drop into a bowl of iced water. Leave it in the fridge for 10 minutes or so and the ends curl out like little umbrellas. Looks great as a garnish but really easy to do. I like easy!

    Thanks guys, it was interesting to see you wash the beef strips, though I was expecting you to put bicarb to tenderise it. I dont think I have ever seen the strips that thick before but reading between the lines, I imagine it is your Mum's choice and you would have thinner strips. Just like you, I usually order this as a side dish, it is so yummy.

      yeah, but when I did this in my takeaway, I made it thick like mum, just you could taste the beef much better, and salt water does the same as the bircab, its why people brine meat before deep frying so there is no need for the bicarb

    Greetings from the city of Lincoln in the East Midlands, i stumbled across your video and i have to say i'm like you my friend, i love crispy chilli beef, even if i order a set meal and it doesn't come with it i have to order it separate, i will be checking out your other videos also, i love chinese food i could happily live on it the rest of my life, i don't know why they say chinese food is unhealthy, it's all fresh and full of good healthy ingredients, keep up the good work.

    I've made a a similar version of this a few times but I've used fresh orange juice with a splash of orange cordial plus the other ingredients and it's always goes down a treat 😂

    Be pretentious. I can’t get a good Chinese here. I used to love this dish. Now I know why it’s not as good at the local takeout.
