- Back at it with our friends over at @C_CEQUIPMENT to rebuild the DE pump on their 550H John Deere Dozer.
Watch Curtis discuss the possible issues with C & C’s Stanadyne DE Rotary Pump p/n DE2435-5805 also known as John Deere p/n RE518166.
And follow along Pump Technician Corey as he meticulously takes apart the pump to diagnose the weephole leakage and driveshaft issues as he talks through the step-by-step disassembly and reassembly of the pump.
The pump rebuilding process is generally hours-long complete process that includes - assessment, external clean up, disassembly, internal parts clean up, reassembly, calibration and testing, paint job, then on its way back to @C&C Equipment. Watch this injection pump come back to life as a rebuilt, repaired, remanufactured functional injection pump.

C&C sent me, great video 👍🏻🇺🇸
Thanks for stopping by!
Excellent video!
Dozer started up and ran great! Thanks again for another great collaboration!
One time where it was worth keeping sausage fingers out - letting the experts at the job....
@@Michael_CS615 - sausage fingers 😅
Here's the reinstall over on C&C's channel - czcams.com/video/3ltA2orsXAk/video.html
Clint sent me over, the refurbished pump worked perfectly 👍
Another one lives again! The power of repair work!
Saw C&C’s video and he gave a shout out to check out this overhaul video so had to come check it out! I don’t know how a professional pilot like myself gets addicted to heavy equipment videos but I did.
Great video I’ve been a diesel mechanic for 43 years and know I don’t repair many pumps know I’m a clutch and timing belt mechanic know
Came here via Diesel Creek. Subscribed.
Have come here from watch Wes work and from c&c equipment. All have been very informative great to learn from. Thank Cory for the extra time to teach us what he does so well.
Thanks for coming back and watching - we appreciate it!
You have great bench builders I would never have the patients to explain as I’m doing a bench job. I just go to it and get it done. Great bunch of builders you’re lucky to have good help like them. Thanks
Thanks for the watch - they are the best!
Mike from Dirt Perfect sent me to your site, thank him I'll be watching
awesome rebuilt by rocket science Cory. Clinton made the right call on this one. very nicely presented. Was worth staying up to watch. thank you
Thanks Tim, hope you enjoy some of our other videos! So far Corey and Gary have been the willing pump expert participants for these CZcams videos!
Clint sent me! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thanks for watching!
came from C&C glade I did
We are too! Thanks!
C&C Equip, Diesel Creek and others soon the secret will be OUT. Good work Fellows
Stanadyne was forced to go to electronic pumps because of the Tier 3 emissions regulations. Typical of the gubmint, once the switch was made, the pump was far less reliable, and didn't provide much emissions savings over the mechanical pumps, but DAMM, those bureaucrats had to do something to justify their big salaries and pensions.
That's why we try our best to share our knowledge, expert opinion and skills to make fixes and repairs less frustrating for the owners out there.
Came over from c&c great work I can’t imagine Kevin’s sausage finger’s getting those tiny piece pieces lined up 😂😂
Hey now, Kevin does an excellent job! Thanks for the watch and following along we appreciate it!
Went here from the C&C channel.
Thanks for coming by!
Thanks for the video. Just goes to show how complex these parts are.
My 1 suggestion on the video front:- Can you please provide additional lighting so that product being worked upon is properly lit up.
Also the focus - it is pulsing frequently, which is not a pleasant watching experience.
Thanks again for the fantastic content.
From C&C, back to watch the install and start up. Great job, guys.
Thanks for following along!
De10s are good for business 😎highly intolerant of water in fuel so lubricity and fuel conditioners highly recommended if you have one!
We know for most the stuff that breaks down is their least favorite...we don't appreciate anyone's frustration, but we do appreciate the opportunity to make it right or better! Job security!
fantastic mechanic tech
Thanks for watching!
I don’t think that you are getting paid enough. That is a very impressive and complicated rebuild! Really enjoyed.
Thanks Tom!
Excellent as always.
Good Job Folks!
I'm here because of Clinton and Capt Sausage Fingers! 👏🏽 👍🏼☺
Good job Capt. Sausage Fingers!
came from c&c and I subscribed
Awesome Bryon!
All positive reactions to this video, which makes sense because it is very clear and interesting. But a point of criticism, the auto-focus of the shots and the fast hand movements did not always make it clear what exactly was being explained. Seems like a point of interest for the next video. Greetz from the Netherlands
Thanks for the watch, comment, and we'll definitely "focus" on the feedback!
Impressive engineering. To a non-mechanic, there is nothing intuitive about the relation of the individual parts as to how fluid flow is generated by this assembly. It’s diesel magic from a bygone era of 19th century genius. 👍
Thanks for the comment and watch, and now you know where to go if you need anything diesel-related!
great video, found you through C&C
Thanks for coming over!
Here from C&C channel
Thanks for stopping by!
Love seeing you guys work and am grateful you include the cost!
Thanks, we do offer quotes as well, we like to be as transparent and fair as possible!
It's Great too see there's still a few Companies like Yours and C&C Equipment....Thank You to both of You Guys. I came from C&C Channel though I've seen You with a few other CZcamsrs. I will be sending anything I need too Your company when needed for repair or replaced for Sure...
We have been so fortunate to work with the collaborators we have and gained a great fanbase, thanks for the watch!
Really enjoyed the video. I've never seen one broken down and reconditioned before. More involved than I thought. Good to see the testing also.
Thanks! These pump remans are amazingly in-depth - Check out our other videos if you have the time!
Thank you, I learned a lot from this video, and I look forward to watching the content of your channel.
Sent here from Clint Very good content! Actually have a pump that needs to be re built. Will be reaching out to you guys in a few months when i get around to the project.
Awesome Mike! Make sure you let us know you found out about us via CZcams!
Thumbs up 👍 seeing this with all the special tools and setup that you have available for rebuilding it’s a shop required build! After seeing the experience in play good call C&C😊
Thanks for the great content, I would like to see the repair process for the shaft.
Thanks Merlin, glad it is of interest and this is definitely something we'll most likely cover in a future video!
I’ll second that, also how a db series pump head is repaired. I’ve heard they are bored and sleeved?
Great video
Thanks for visiting the channel and watching the video!
Great video, very professional.
Thank you!
Great Work !!!
Thanks for the watch!
Clint sent me. Cheers
Thanks for bringing a "ray of sunshine" to the channel! Hope you enjoy the content!
Excellent work!!
great job
Thanks for watching and commenting!
This was an awesome video with great detail. I really appreciate the level of detail that is shown. It is really a master class in pump repair!
very very nice
love the detail, would love to see a video on a Bosch CP3 pump don't know how common they are on the USDM tho :)
having a problem with mine, and the local place told me it wasn't the fuel pump and that I needed an EGR/DPF delete. which is incredibly illegal in europe, but the italians are largely a law unto themselves...
not as a tutorial you understand, but as a way to confirm my suspicions.
Thanks for the watch and feedback!
Feel free to reach out to our experts for some info / guidance if you need and we'll try to cover a CP3 pump at some point!
@@AreaDieselService I will do that, thankyou
Came form c&c
Thanks for the watch!

Hi! Excellent video! Îs it possible to check without disassembling the pump if the solenoid is is blocked and is not opening?
Came here from @DieselCreek
Okay... so I found this channel looking for a the rebuild on a pump you did for Matt over at Diesel Creek... but I don't see it. This sort of looked like it, but I don't think it is. I can't seem to find the upload he was talking about.
It's live now!

please send kevin a bigger hat
Unfortunately they are of the "one size fits most" variety - but we'll do our best to get Kevin something special!
Hi Sir, thanks alot for this valuable information, in fact, we have problem with John Deere engine, I need to know how to calibrate the controller with the engine . When we connect the engine to the scanner tool , we received this code( SPN 1076 Present
Engine Fuel Injection Pump Fuel Control Valve - Out of calibration). Code you please advice. I do have photos of the pump and controller and serial number of the engine
Hi, how much would it cost to rebuild one, just like the one in this video? Thanks.
What could be the symptoms of a damaged solenoid?
C came from c&c
Glad you're following along!
