Honestly 1v1 only Ronaldinho managed to beat Ashley Cole, even C.Ronaldo as a winger couldn't beat him.

Ashley Cole as best in the world is a perfect example of us English being obsessed with pl we forget the real greats. Like for me, Gerrard was one of my favourite growing up as a Liverpool fan but I still remember the likes of zidane who was even better, but we talk of it as Gerrard, keane, Scholes etc

If we are talking about English football overall, then Bruce Grobbelaar is also wrong because there were other African players in English football before him, like Danie Le Roux, and Derek Smethurst.

Since Ryan Giggs's off-the-pitch matters, everyone just ignores him now. He's still not been inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame. I get that he's quite clearly not a very nice person and many people will say that there have even been more gifted players, but he still has 13 Premier League titles and has the third most appearances in the competition, all with one club. He's also scored over 100 goals in the competition.

@@ForrForeYou're really comparing Milner to De Bruyne? De Bruyne has been as good as any midfieleder in PL history. As good on the ball as Scholes, creative as anyone, assists & goals just a massive player he's been for Man City. He has more to his game than those midfielders you named, he has more range. Vieira & Keane can defend better, but he tracks back to & is so much better going forward.
Why isn't he as good as they other midfielders? What's he missing?
