- Today we went to Robin Gibb's Blue Plaque Unveiling Ceremony at The Prebendal House, where Robin Gibb lived.
Mike Read, Tim Rice, R.J. Gibb and Dwina Gibb did the honors, it was a lovely, emotional day for everyone. It was good to see Robin's fans turn out in number to witness the event.
We miss you Robin, R.I.P
Please note:
This video is a bit long, you may want to scroll forward to 1:50 for the speeches.
I left it long to give viewers a sense of being there, thanks for watching.
The first Speech is Mike Read, the second speech is Tim Rice, then Dwina Gibb and R.J. Gibb unveil the Blue Plaque.
The video ends with a visit to Robin's grave to pay respects and record the wind chimes.
Sorry about the shaky camera during the speeches, but my arm was getting really tired holding the camera above everyone's heads. :)

I bet you would enjoy Thame as much as I do Olivia. If there's any way you could make the trip, I recommend it, it's lovely there.
It's been a very beautiful and peaceful afternoon !
They found the right way to celebrate Robins life - if ever one can celebrate it in such a short time. One could grap the love for Robin with hands - singing along with the Soldiers.
Most beautiful the singing of Isabel " Ave Maria" , which fitted so well to open the event.
Very touching as well to have a few moments of silence in Robins private chapel and refectory/ mansion,
Thanks so much to the Gibb-family for making this possible !!!
It's been a very beautiful and peaceful afternoon
I personally was impressed by Isabel's " Ave Maria" - very fitting piece to start with .
Also the performance of the soldiers, where we could join in singing.
Does anybody have a clip of it to be posted here ??
What a treat to be allowed to enter Robins mansion and even his private chappel.
The whole afternoon really was a celebration of Robins life.
Thanks so much to the Gibb-family for making this possible, for opening your gates again.
