Okay, so yes, this Villain Deku AU is a personalized universe of mine. No, I do not claim to own the concept of Villain Deku, just this specific AU where these specific events happen.
I'll be making videos about my AU as I see fit, but no, they will not be uploaded in chronological order.

Also, I find it interesting that I don't see a lot of Mama Midoriya in Villain Deku AUs? Eh, she's probably there, but I don't find it easily, unlike the Deku vs Bakugou or Todoroki and other stuff. All Might is there too, but... not Inko so I thought hey, let's do this and simultaneously tear my own heart out because I'm a goddamn masochist who doesn't know self preservation LMAO
Anyway, I love Mama Midoriya with all my heart. She's the mom I always needed, but never had. I'm looking at Izuku right now and going "sana all".

callout post for everyone reading this: the reason we all like this video/this concept so much is because the idea of being loved unconditionally no matter what mistakes you make is something we all want desperately but don’t have, so we project onto villain deku because we’re all sad and lonely and desperate for someone to care about us, in spite of our flaws (because we’re all really self deprecating and don’t see ourselves as worthy of love). oh and we’re touch starved too lol

I see a lot of comments talking about how they cry at the "truck to take mommy away" part, but the bit that always hits me harder is when she start talking about how she knows she's failed him despite her genuine best efforts.
same dude, like, he's *cuffed*. I don't even think either of them believes this whole thing stemmed from Izuku's "daddy issues," it's her own issues they're talking about right now. Izuku's quirklessness and her unable to save him from the consequences makes her believe she fell short, but she's still his mom through and through T ^ T
the part that always makes me cry is the bit at 3:06 when it goes to Izuku's face and shows how much hes crying and the desperation on his face to keep Inko close and never let go.
It always gets me.
It really hurts to know that she has to slide under his cuffs for her to hug him because he can't wrap his arms around her normally

"He's just a kid ..." That phrase may sound bad to someone, but All Might is right. Izuku despite being a villain in this universe, is still a child, one who was forced to be what he never wanted.
literally... the world was cruel and unforgiving for someone such as himself, and he thought he could change the world into a better place by becoming a criminal
And think about it... for whatever reason deku became a villain, which was most likely due to that feeling of inferiority had overcame him instead of him overcoming it. He would have made choices that in the end were not even choices because of the life he was given before he could do anything to change his life in the long run, he “chose” to find an easier and more ‘realistic’ option than becoming a hero as a powerless person.... that’s just how I see villain deku as a whole I guess, wow I went OFF lol

A hero is there to protect people from and defeat the villains, so becoming a villain or criminal is basically the same as him saying "im nothing like a hero, I cant be a hero, so I wont be a hero". Hes basically becoming something he didnt want to become because he cant be what he does want to become.

That was what hit me hardest. My parents divorced when I was young and my dad just left 90% of his stuff here (family heirlooms to loved and good quality jackets). I don't remember the last time we were all together as a family.

this perspective of villain deku brings me so much happiness. this shows that villain deku isn't just some guy who gave up on his dream because everyone around him told him he'd never achieve it, no. villain deku is a *kid* who lost sight of what he really dreamed of becoming because he lost faith in himself and, in turn, fell down the wrong path due to those around him never taking him seriously. because no one believed in him. this shows that villain deku still has the embers of bravery and heroicness inside his soul somewhere, and that he still has time to turn around and grab ahold of the dream he once left behind. this shows that deku was never a *villain* per se, but a hero who has experienced the darkness of those he will defeat in the future- and of those he will save in the future.

I really appreciate Deku breaking when his mother brings up his past, when he was so innocent and happy. Most au’s with Deku being a villain have him completely shut out with no emotion. If this happened in those other situations, I’m sure they’d think Deku would sit at the table as his mother cried, rolling his eyes. But I truly do think if a Deku was a villain, he’d still have that soft spot for his mother. Thank you for being so amazing!

God, i always was intrigued by the villain deku|AU cause i mean, its really cool and interesting. But personally I could never thoroughly enjoy it for some reason. But this made me realize why.
I dont know if there is a cannon of where Izuku's(Midoriya/Deku) dad is, and what impact that has on His mother now in the future. (Yes, as a child his father was abroad, but years have passed and we still haven't heard anything since then)
Anyway, before I ramble on too much more, I cant see Izuku ever becoming a villian, since he would never want to hurt his mother like that. I mean we saw how she got as he was trying to be a hero, I highly doubt that he would become a villain , cause he would never want to make her cry.
Though this is all on the basis that they hold the same relationship in the villian|au as canon.

one of my favorite villain au's Inko actually joins him. Actually, most everyone the original deku knows joins him and its believeable because they keep it in character. Deku takes on a 'control the underworld from within' approach to heroism, and hes both Kacchans biggest fan and his male wife. It is Katsudeku but if you're okay with that, you should check it out! Its Villain Waifu Deku

I like the attention to detail - during the first scene, when you see his face from the side, only his upper lip is showing, indicating he's biting his lower lip and tucking it in, maybe worried or stressed out, or even dissapointed in himself whilst infront of his own mother.
or maybe i'm over analyzing things and it's just his/her artstyle.

My thought is these UAs usually stem from All Might saying he can’t be a hero and not meeting again, so he probably recognized the kid. I wonder if he would feel guilt even though he was only a small factor? Like a worn out string holding him off the edge.
I think the reason we never see Inko is because people who like the AU project themselves on to deku and the thought of dissapointing our moms is just something we don't want to think about. Sure betray all of those people who treated you badly but your mom? That's the one person you never want to find out.

I love this, it's just so nice to see a mother love their child so genuinely. For me, it was the opposite, I never knew my mother growing up, and just seeing Inko talking and smiling at her son even whilst he's chosen a dark path... it's beautiful.
Also, I like how you characterise Deku here. He's not emotionless, but rather trying to seem that way because, the moment he lets his guard down, he knows he's gonna cry up a waterfall. He's just fifteen years old... he doesn't deserve to have his actions follow him for the rest of his life.
