Michael Poulsen is such an interesting character. I would love to be able to sit down over a whisky and listen to him talk about music and life. He’s a deep thinker and a genuinely kind soul. Fantastic interview!

Micheal Poulsen is MY Elvis! So much unique talent! My dad was a classic car top chopper. He loved a '49 Mercury better than anything. He was a master at his craft and introduced me to the best music of 50s 60s 70s! I am a metalhead at heart but I LOVE the oldies! Elvis Presley was the most beautiful talented man. Volbeat is MY favorite band. I hear alot of the Elvis influence but also very unique....Pure eargasm!💞

I heard volbeats for the first time about three years ago I heard shotgun blues then heaven nor hell I don't know what rock I've been under but after heaven I was hooked Amazing Band keep Rocking please

Really interesting that it’s easier on his vocals to pitch higher. I always wondered why they actually tune UP Doc Holiday when they play it live, when almost every other band tunes down to make it easier.

King Diamond actually lives in Austin TX. I live 2 hrs away from there. I won king Diamond tickets when I was 14 of of Houston radio station called Z-Rock at a club called Numbers. I had most of his records up til that point. That was the Conspiracy tour. My mom went and got my Abigail Record and showed it to my dad. My dad got tired of my mom gripping so he said your not going. Man I was so into king diamond still know all the words from merciful fate records and King diamond records till The Eye. I got over that and I love my parents, they put up with some shit, let me make my mistakes and didn't hold it against me. RIP... Mom-Dad

Michael Poulsen will forever be the soundtrack to my life! I've been following him since DOMINUS, it's also become my nickname! his music improves year after year, with no flaws. I'm madly in love with King Diamond too. speaking of madness I got the cover of The First 9 by DOMINUS tattooed on my calf, and I plan to tattoo the cover of Conspirancy by King Diamond on the opposite side. we had a little epistolary contact when we exchanged the first demo of Volbeat and my demo of my ex band Stige, he invited me a picture of him with my shirt, which I jealously keep! for me everything that comes from Michael's hands and voice is top notch.... I'd like to hear one of his death metal side projects as soon as possible, even if with Volbeat he gave us some taste! DOMINUS & VOLBEAT are my life!
imagine my disappointment when they canceled the concert in Rome this year, it was supposed to be the first time I saw Volbeat live... living in southern Italy the chances are very low and the Rome date was perfect 😥

Never thought I would hear Michael jump into American politics and bash the USA. That’s disappointing.
I'm glad I saw your comment before I got to that part. Was able to stop the video before another artist disappoints me.
Same with him bashing Christians at Volbeat shows. "I'm not a Christian so it won't cost you anything" he says to the crowd who all paid some ridiculous ticket price to see his band. This is why it's dumb to get star struck by celebrities...they get so full of themselves that they forget (or ignore) the fact that their fan bases are comprised of many people from many backgrounds who have many different beliefs.
