Also the Ginebra San Miguel is 40% alcohol by volume - the "proof" is another measurement of alcohol which is basically double the alc. / vol. number, so 40% alc. / vol. is 80 proof. I really enjoy watching your vlogs!
i would always go for super dry if there’s no pale. zero means zero flavor alcohol. red horse i find it too sweet. Gin good with local lime (kalamansi) as chaser.
My personal favorite is San Miguel Cerveza Negra. Maybe a part 2 with that one?

San Miguel in Filipino but in English it's St. Michael the arch angel! That's what San Miguel means... Then the Genebra San Miguel it is one of the oldest gin in the Philippines. They even have a basketball team in the country.. Old folks call Genebra Gin as Quattro Cantus.. It means square... Bec the oldest bottle of that gin is like a square.. 🍾 For your Part 2of the vlog.. Try tanday Rhum,Empirador brandy light Empirador double Light, Cervesa Negra, Fundador Brandy, Kulafu, and fighter 50 wine..

Did you know that you can get those filipino alcohol in some asian store here in London. Mainly redhorse/sanmig light and emperador light 👌🏼
Gin + pomelo or any flavor of Tang powder juice. That really good.
The gin was so good if you mix it with the lemon lime and sprite , my relatives and i , mix it with 1.5 liter sprite , a little bit vodka around 30 to 40 ml , lemon lime , and around 100 ml of gin , and added some sugar , so refreshing to drink.
I remember having a shot of Tanduay that cost me 100PHP, and then seeing the whole bottle cost 200PHP in the shop next door 😂😂
We drank massive bottles of San Miguel Pils and Red Horse with some locals on Apo Island, one of our best memories of The Philippines!

Omg u forgot the Tuba. Tuba which is consumed is mainly from the sap of coconut palm and that's why they call it coconut wine. The person who harvests the sap is known as Tapper. He climbs the coconut tree, makes a cut in the inflorescence and ties a gallon to collect the sap. Please try it.

Only namesake brands but these are completely different and independent companies.
The Filipino San Miguel is the original. San Miguel International (the Spanish one) bought the name rights ages ago from the Filipino brewery.
Although the San Miguel International’s lager is nice, I think Filipino San Miguel Pils is better 👍
Ginebra used to be the alcohol of choice when I was a kid. Especially of those from the middle and lower class. It's cheaper. The other was San Miguel Beer. These days, it seems to be Red Horse and San Mig Light (esp. for people who don't normally drink like me). I am mot sure who makes Tanduay but majoriry of those beers are made by San Miguel Corporation. The angel vs devil image has to do with tje story about the angel Michael beating the devil.
Try local ones next time if you can find them. Try tuba and lambanog (make sure you buy this from a trusted source).

Nope since lockdown the price skyrocketed to 90 - 130 pesos for the small one
there are other local alcohols that are common in the islands and that is kulafu, fighter wine, tanduay 5 yrs. and emperador light. ginebra gin is usually mix with lime juice & an ice cubes. Also try those mixed alcohol drinks here in the philippines like mestisa and boracay drink. Also tuba, lambanog are coconut wine. Also some islands has its own different alcohol. Others can not be found in the city, only in the provinces.
Gin is actually 40 pesos only. I think it's 90 because of the quarantine.

I was actually at a gin tasting yesterday, and they can differ quite a lot because there's not any restriction what spices to use except for the mandatory juniper berries.
