You could use a steam iron...also you could spray the hat with some warm water on the inside then use the hat stretcher...don't stretch it too much, best to stretch it 2 times than make it too big the first time. I let mine dry overnight on the stretcher.
I purchased a Stetson Rancher hat that is round oval. I need it to be more elongated oval since it pinches in front & back. I read somewhere that to accomplish this I need to purchase a hat jack that is smaller than the size normally calls for. Is this correct? My size is 7 5/8" Thanks
My grandfather (farmer/rancher) is my source. With high quality modern felt hats, stretching is not a good idea. The felt can be stretched a very small amount, but you risk tearing the fabric. Old felt hats is another story. What I would recommend is buying foam lining tape and line the inside of the sides of the hat and go one size bigger, or find a hat that has a better shape.
A new hat video destination! I love it! Thank you 😊
Bought a hat jack for a Stetson that is a hair small...perfect explanation how to make it fit, thanks!
Great video
I have the one with the pink handle that is for long oval Blue handles more of a round oval
I accidentally purchased a small instead of a medium. Will stretching be enough to get to 22 inches?
I want to know how long it needs to sit there?
Maybe a silly question, but will this work on a straw hat?
It eventually goes back to its original size.
I don’t have a streamer can I still use a hat jack?
