    Thank you so much! I just ordered some “bonsai lotus” seeds online. I am not sure if there is a difference between these and the ones you planted, but is it possible to grow them only in water? Some sellers online have been advertising that no soil is needed, only water, while others do say to plant in soil like you did. Thank you again!

    • @seiyuokamihimura5082
      @seiyuokamihimura5082 Před 3 lety +7

      There is no such thing as bonsai seeds. Bonsai is a technique to keep a plant or tree small. If you plant a bonsai in the ground, they will grow to regular size in time. Bonsai arent usually dwarf forms of things. However dwarf plants make good bonsai specimens. Same concept. If it was "dwarf seeds" maybe. But not all dwarf plants come true from seeds, so only cloning works for some dwarf varieties of plants. Hope this helped.

      The best thing is to add freshwater fish to the water, like molly fish or guppy... these are small fishes so the system will be good for them and they will take care of any mosquito larva that will be growing in that water, as such fishes usually feed on such larvae, this way you stay safe and without any tension of growing disease causing mosquitoes in your house... also the excreta from these fishes will be good for the plant... and when ever the water level goes down you can always add more water to it...

    Thank you for this wonderful video. You mentioned that seeds that float are infertile. What does that mean, will they not grow? Also, I live in Arizona, so have plenty of sun and heat. Can we grow lotus indoors in front of a window?

    • @avisaragini1300
      @avisaragini1300 Před 4 lety +2

      The seeds that float do not have the capacity to grow into a new plant. They are infertile because they were damaged due to some reasons. But sometimes despite being floating, they tend to grow just like normal seeds. So it depends.

    The seeds that we brought came with a institution to make a hole at the tip, is it the same as hammering the seed a little????

    thank you for the video! I have a few questions.... where do you get the seeds? how long does it take before they bloom? would it be possible to put them in our pond eventually and if so how large do they need to be before doing that?

    • @urbangardeningofficial
      @urbangardeningofficial  Před 7 lety +2

      thank you for your comment..:)seeds are easily available online or you can buy from nursery or any seed/garden store (seeds are very cheap)..they normally bloom after 8-10 months from sowing the seeds .....after 8-10 days you can transplant them to the pond bed ..:)you can also grow them directly in the pond ..:)

    • @i_heart_lotus
      @i_heart_lotus Před 6 lety

      Start your seeds as this video shows at the beginning of summer. Your plant will grow very quickly (fertilizer tablets required) and then go dormant in winter, make sure it doesn't freeze, then in spring it will re-grow out of the mud for a hopeful flower in the next summer.

      NEITIBU aloe vera is easy to grow. You can get one leave from someone who has and plant it. Water it daily. It yields more soon. Results in big size leaves if plant on ground rather than in a pot
