Usually in parotid gland
Pleomorphic: variable appearance architecturally
Parenchymatous glands with myoepithelium
Stroma with epithelial tissue
Diagnose with fine needle aspiration (best: 90% sensitivity), US, CT, or MRI
Treat with surgical resection (parotidectomy), but it's a recurrent issue; can become carcinoma

Histo: germinal centers, cystic spaces, many lymphocytes, condensed chromatin (pyknotic) nuclei
Associated with smoking, older people

Thanks to this video and my studies at the premed school, I convinced doctors to perform a biopsy. In China, where a painless and asymptomatic mass is often culturally dismissed, I recognized it as a potential Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma (ACC) feature. Through my advocacy, I underwent surgical removal and radiotherapy. Your invaluable information played a crucial role in saving my life. I am extremely grateful!

In referring to pleomorphic adenoma you said pleomorphic adenoma in this cancer…but it is benign?

Im a 29 year old female and I have a small lump on my left cheek , right in line of my lips, had it for a year now did a ultra sound guided biopsy today and the doctor suspects it might be pleomorphic adenoma. I'm just waiting on the results now to be certain on what it is. I'm concerned as to what it might be as it's not in the most common location(parotid gland) where pleomorphic adenoma usually occurs. Also the doctor said today that the lump is very superficial close to the skin.
What was your results if you dnt mind me asking.
kindly give the main identification points in the histopathology.. for eg..
in warthins tumor intermediate cells are not mentioned.

I have pleomorphic adenoma in right side parotite region from since 6 yeras. Its not paining and not showing any symptoms. No ulcreation intra and no intra bulge.But increasing their size. now its in size. (2×1.5 cm)..
What is the chances to convert this bening tumor into malignant one.
