    I just replaced my 15 year old Miele that had run over 5,000 cycles with only minor repairs-think about that. I just bought a 7000 series Miele and expect no less. I would never underestimate Sub-Zero/Wolf, but water is a different animal and I’ll await to see the long term performance.

    I have a Cove dishwasher and love it. I am about to start a kitchen remodel and will be adding a second Cove dishwasher. I have the model with the water softener which is great if you live in an area with hard water.

    I love your reviews, there are so many dishwashers to choose from. The one feature that we don't see is speed. Why is it that professional Hobart dishwashers can run a complete cycle in 3 minutes and even these high end home models take over an hour? Rather than multiple cycles, I would opt for speed.

      Good question....I used to wash dishes. Those Hobarts are 240 volt, to get super hot quickly. Miele has their Pro with that capability.

    I just replaced my Bosch benchmark with a cove dishwasher. I had a lot of trouble getting Bosch to repair their unit under warranty, even though it was throwing the same error code over and over again.
    Cove washes great and with the extended dry feature it actually dries very well for everything except plastic. with a factory certified installer they have a six year warranty and I know the subzero repair people in my area and they’re great. Now that they’re widely available I think cove is the way to go for great quality and service after sale.

      That’s very interesting about the warranty issue with Bosch. Did it do a better job drying the plastic then the Cove does?

      For those of you that are worried about the plastic not drying well, it’s because plastic does not retain heat like glass and porcelain. Completely normal

  • @46fs
    @46fs Před 2 měsíci +1

    This is an Epic Dishwasher and she never even Touched on the plastic settings and multiple extended drying options for plastics etc. Even at the $2495 Price I paid the $1000-1200 kitchen Aids lasted 5 years tops and normally fell short having issues after the first year, The first Frigidaire in 2004 lasted 5 years and the pump went out too expensive to fix. Then We had 3 kitchen Aids in 12 years they have no durability and the last Frigidaire professional in 2022 dries horribly, They replaced it and let me keep the old unit, I sold both the old one and replacement on marketplace and got the COVE we wanted, Best move ever. 5 Year parts and labor warranty and added extra year when install by a subzero installer.

    Was waiting for this video. Thank you. I have a question. Can you confirm if the external stainless steel panel is fingerprint resistant

    • @oopszie
      @oopszie Před 2 měsíci

      The stainless panel is the same as subzero fridge. Use a oil based conditioner and fingerprints wipe away, or get a panel - all coves are panel ready

  • @drwisdom1
    @drwisdom1 Před 3 měsíci

    We have a Sub-Zero refrigerator that came with our house and like it. It is 30 years old and if it goes terminal we will likely get another. Three years ago we ordered a Wolf range. It took months to be delivered and we really like it. So we would be the type of customer to get a Cove dishwasher, and we did look at them. But we got a Bosch instead because it was less than half the price. It cleans the dishes, is quiet, and hasn't broken. What more could you ask for? The difference between the ranges of different manufacturers can be significant. But the differences between dishwashers are trivial, like the format of the racks or where the buttons are located.

      Service. My last Bosch never worked right, E 31 error, five months of repairs then they refused saying it was installed improperly. After handwashing dishes for five months I bought a cove. If I could launch my cheaper bosch through the front window of their headquarters I would.

    This is the best youtube channel on designer appliances IMHO.
    Is mold a big issue in washing machines? If yes, does the GE significantly reduce this problem enough to choose it over Miele? If money is not an issue, what’s the best washing machine that money can buy?
    In your dishwasher tier video your top pick was the Miele G7366 why weren’t miele’s top of the line dishwashers included? Does it translate to a buyer not getting their money’s worth above the G7366. Thank you.

    • @YaleAppliance1
      @YaleAppliance1  Před 3 měsíci

      I never thought mold was a big issue in a dishwasher....Dishwashers don't have gaskets or maybe GE had extra Microban lying around.
      The G7366 is the most popular of the G7000 series. The top end has more cycles, a better interface, and 5 year warranty.

  • @afs3294
    @afs3294 Před 3 měsíci +1

    "The problem is the price" is a succinct way of stating the obvious: you could pay about half as much for a Bosch 800 and get comparable washing results with a better drying system. It makes sense when a global appliance manufacturer integrates good-to-great dishwashers in the lineup as in the case of parent company BSH owning Bosch, Gaggenau, and Thermador. It makes less sense for Sub/Wolf to try to crack this market with a single high-priced offering. The probably should have leveraged their existing brands instead of calling it "Cove", but maybe they have broader plans that have not yet been marketed. Sub/Wolf have a way to go before their dishwasher will be more than a sales incentive for a captive package deal (and strategy to prevent competitors from taking market-share).

    It doesn't look like it has a salt reservoir? That's a major drawback for a dishwasher at this price.

      @oopszie Před 2 měsíci

      It’s an option, the model with water softener adds about $100
      and it’s a real water softener with resin beads that get recharged, not just a salt dispenser
