These companies need to start making appliances to LAST.
My Bosch does great.
Amen to that. Bosch is the best out of the bunch but they're also more expensive (worth it)......but regardless, if you're spending hundreds or even thousands on an appliance, that damn thing should last a good 20 years or more.
I used to believe Bosch was good but they’re following g suit of all the others too. But mine is only from 2017 and it’s been quite a few problems and yet they are yo be fixed. I’ve given up. Buy cheapest and change out every 5 years or so
We recently moved and left our Fischer and Paykell dishwasher behind. The thing we miss most is the ability to load dirty dishes into one drawer before unloading the other. This means that you can unload when it's convenient, but you don't have to have dirty dishes in the sink if that time happens to be after breakfast or lunch. Smaller staggered loads worked great for our family.
I have trouble hearing the words. Good video though. One thing: the GE dishwasher doesn't have a hard food disposer that reduces filter changes. It's behind the filters and it's just a blade on the pump. Because it is behind all of the filters food should never get there in the first place. There are some washers with this technology, but the Piranha anti-jamming hard food disposer is fake technology. I even called GE to verify this!
You guys just ROCK !!! I love all your videos and info you provide. Wish I lived on the East coast so I could buy stuff from you....ever consider opening a Missouri store??? Take care!
Thank you so much, Tim. Much appreciated! Never say never, but that isn't in the plans.
_Edit: I’m in NJ so this isn’t about Yale, but about dishwashers in general._
We’re still waiting on the replacement for the LG 55-series that was installed on Dec 14 and failed on first operation.
I understand the reliability metric of % of units needing repairs for an initial period. And it is very obtainable. But I wish we could also have a measurement of how many years on average a unit is owned before being replaced, but that requires the future to calculate.
so do I
Good tip about checking the fit of your dishes. I did this before I bought my last dishwasher. You get a few looks when you start pulling plates and bowls out of a bag, but it's worth it. I was set on a KitchenAid, but ended up with a GE because my plates always fell over in the KitchenAid when I slid the bottom rack in.
Did KitchenAid wash/dry performance not even crack the top 5 or were they just not part of this roundup?
They werent part of this roundup...it was politically motivated :)
Was at my local Lowe's yesterday and surprised to see they are stocking Miele. Still not cheap and while the discs are convenient, that feature comes at a price. Great video, although I'm surprised KitchenAid didn't make the league.
It would but they stopped carrying it. The autodos is stupid on Miele. It will cost you another dishwasher over 10 years. Just do the math. I think the kitchen loads way better than these euro dishwashers. I liked my Bosch dishwasher but now they changed the layout and added a useless third rack plus only give you a tiny silverware holder on first rack.
Great video. I'm surprised KitchenAid was not on the list? I thought they were very good cleaning and low maintenance dishwashers? Thank you for the buying guide.
KitchenAid was in there...The 200 Series
I did see the KitchenAid in the video. But I did not see it mentioned at the end as far as "TEST RESULTS. " Thank You.
Steve, I've been shopping for a new Miele dishwasher to replace my 15 year old one. It seems that Miele is phasing out the Clean Touch steel. I ended up buying the G7106, one of the last newer models that has it. The newer 7000 models that have the pull handle have what Miele calls "active stainless" finish. I confirmed this with Miele support. The clean touch steel is amazing, I'm glad I was able to get it. I think some of the Auto Dos models have it, for a significantly higher price. I would have liked to get the pull handle with the top controls with the clean touch steel:(
Are you happy with how clean your dishes come out? I’m ready to buy a new dishwasher.
we had a great experience with our insignia ones
Can you guys do a tier video on non pro dual fuel ranges like the Bosch HGI8056UC
Sure...good idea
What about Cove DW2450
How come the Kitchenaide shown in the video at $850 is listed at over $1000 on the link? Did they just raise the price?
They go on sale every holiday....Presidents day, July 4th, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Black Friday
What are your thoughts on Samsung? I have the new bespoke refrigerator and love it and was thinking of getting the dishwasher. Help
The WaterWall is interesting.....Its decent. I like some others better, but it may match your fridge.
@@YaleAppliance1 - I am no designer and wondered if it was “ok” to mix and match appliances now. And I welcome your honest recommendation for a coordinating dishwasher for under $1800 with the best DSB since we are in a small townhome and have an open concept living area. Thank you again for your videos and guidance.
I love everything about our samsung dishwasher but the water wall system is a design flail and has broken on us twice. I just can’t put more money into it knowing that it will likely continue to break again. I have a new Miele being delivered on Saturday to replace it. I hope we like it.
Any thoughts on the Cove dishwashers? does not seem like there is as much on them on the internet.
They are having production issues, so I havent sold them in a while
Tremendous machine, capacity, flexibility in racking, cleans, extremely quiet, dries, foolproof installation and available.... 5 year warranty to boot
Any “bar size” (18”) dishwasher recommendations?
Most are actually good...and you don't lose a ton of space. Miele, Bosch, Beko...all are pretty good
No argument with Bosch & Miele. The Bosch Series 8, 2024 model is truly outstanding. the drying and cleaning is fantastic. High end Miele a close 2nd to me.
Thoughts on Thermador and Cove dishwashers?
Thermador is Bosch...Cove is still having production issues, so we will see
Thermador is Bosch....I like Cove, but they don't produce many..yet
Yeah. Zeolite mineral drying system.
How can an appliance be the most reliable based on the first year of service calls? I feel like 5 years would be a much better gauge.
I think so. Most problems happen beginning/end of life...plus we offer free warranty service in the first year. Hard to know what happens after that
If we can do so accuratley. I agree. Many problems happen year 1 and end of life.
Darn, my dishes look nothing like that when I put them in my dish washer,
Bosch !!
I can’t believe that on LG. I see too many ratings and people I know who say it’s no good. Bosch is the one I hear that’s good. I own one. Had 2 so far. And the other one is whirlpools are good.
Appreciate these videos and I think your voice is not an issue. Ignore that other chump.
I have the best dishwasher at home and weve been married for 20 years.
She/He uses way too much water :)
The narrator is REALLY hard to understand/hear.
GE doesn't exist anymore.
Sure it does....Haier kept most of the production in the US
The audio on this video is terrible. The commentators voice is muffled and barely understandable. No useful info was obtained by trying to watch this.
