We joined Trent at his launch of The After Academy, a new initiative which will provide career opportunities for those who didn’t make it as professional players.
Brilliant initiative shows his sensitivity towards the less unfortunates in the football world.
Wonder if Trent's motivation for such a project has to do with his brothers? They were also youth players, who dropped off and stepped aside before U21s to allow the family to focus on Trent's success. Perhaps Trent has seen how hard it is for a young person to sacrifice their dreams, either because they aren't good enough to make it or the resources aren't there or the timing isn't right.
why did they not ask him about the Barcelona corner
Trent - "Lads, it's Tottenham."
Literally it was written in the stars when Allison stopped a last minute goal that would’ve knocked out LFC in the group stages by Napoli with a finger…after that it was just when they would win it not if
lol 😂
Sounds arrogant but you have to remember this Liverpool team had just finished on 97 points which wins the league in literally any other season in history bar three.
They had also knocked out both Bayern and Barca on the way to the final, the latter being the greatest semi-final comeback ever.
Spurs were never winning against that Liverpool team.
They also lost 4 times and should have gone out in the group stages if a clear red card on Van Dijk was called correctly. One of the least impressive UCL runs ever.

The craziest thing for me was that Clyne was a solid Steve Finnan type full back. Just always seemed solid week in week out and I would have never thought Trent could dethrone him
Defensively solid tbh but didn’t offer much going forward kinda like Wan Bissaka
@@thelastlegbender7903 yeah but at the time that was how we played. Trent and Robbo attacking qualities is why Klopp changed Liverpools style. Clyne was an absolute guaranteed pick every week
@@thelastlegbender7903 Clyne had a decent cross on him. He just found it impossible to work the ball up the pitch

nearly swapped my barca ticket for a home game ticket against West Ham as didn't seem we would get through... the rest they say is history. I fell down the steps of the kop running down celebrating origis goal and twisted my ankle. can see me hopping on celebrating in the corner. best atmosphere ive ever been in and no way spurs would beat us. no one was stopping us.
“ we knew they’d bottle it “
No one bottles it making it to a CL final.
you physically cannot bottle any cup final. bottling means to lose something from an advantaged position. for example, arsenal bottled the league this season. spurs bottled the league when they lost from being 2-0 up against chelsea. when you're in a cup tie, both teams have an equal chance of going through or winning the final. no team is in an advantaged position.
@@richierichie1332 Do you know the miracle of istanbul? Im a Liverpool fan but AC Milan bottled it
cheers for that
@@mlion8418 I don't recall spurs being 3-0 up at half time
This Liverpool could’ve had 3 premier leagues and 3 Uefa champions league in the span of 5 seasons had the luck just gone our way just a bit.
Ciy oil money, Ramos , Karius and Prime Courtois stopped Liverpool.
one game away from the UCL in 17/18, one game away from the prem in 18/19, two games away from both in 21/22. history will do a massive disservice to Klopp's Liverpool with the current major trophy return, most people in 15 or 20 years will downplay just how good we've been. on paper, it doesn't immediately look like one of the best prem teams ever - then you see the points tallies.
If you had some of that mentality against Real Madrid, you would have 8 UCLs but i guess y'all are confident when it's spurs
@@mhtv5959 you have to give credit to spurs for even making it to the champions league final they made history
@mhtv we had confidence against madrid but karius mistakes cost us the 2nd one against Madrid was the one where I think the pressure got to the players with quadruple on the line
The one thing that stands out in my memory of this game is how Pochettino started Kane ahead of Lucas Moura. Kane was only just back from an ankle injury and didn't kick a ball all game, whereas Lucas had finished the season brilliantly. Not saying it would have changed the end result, but I felt way more confident as a Liverpool fan when I saw Kane was starting.
Agreed. I respect Kane immensely, but it would have been smarter to play an in form Moura for 60-65 minutes, and sub in Kane. Players back from injury often lack the stamina.
I mean you started firmino also in his first match back from injury over origi but it’s never spoken about as you won
It annoys me how many times I've had to say this over the years. But I very much doubt that Potch solely made that decision by himself. And going by how massive that game was they was no way Kane wasn't starting.
@Justin Coombes was lose lose either way, if we start lucas and lose then he's slated for not starting kane.
Alisson set a record for the most saves in a UCL final that night.
Kane wasn’t the issue. Also if he benched Kane and we still lost, Poch would have been ridiculed for that
Don’t forget how scary 18/19 and 19/20 Liverpool were.
21/22 Liverpool were no joke either
17/18 on their day were best in the world as well. Don't discount City's first premier league loss at Anfield in their 100 point season. Then City came back to Anfield a few months later for a champions league quarter final clash and got blitzed again. Liverpool then beat them at Etihad. Also, liverpool only really lost to madrid in the european cup final due to Karius, otherwise i thought Liverpool looked the better team overall.

This is how Real Madrid feel when they face Liverpool
At 12:32 he explained literally what happened on this last season. Lost both PL and UCL on the latest instances and that’s a big blow going to the next season.
He doesn't say that Liverpool dismissed Spurs at all - misleading title. Good video though
His haircut may look like my grandma's mop, but he is my favourite Liverpool player.
Honestly as a Spurs fan I think we lost that final because Pochettino started an injured Harry Kane over our semifinal hero Lucas Moura so basically we were playing with 10 men and that gave Liverpool the edge. I think if we started the same side that started the second half in Amsterdam we could have won, till this day I haven’t healed 😪
there was no way you could've won against this Liverpool side

This Young lad has been one of the best right backs in the world the last 5 years! Admittedly because he’s a baller and I admit defensively he is suspect. I think Liverpool buy a good solid right back and put Trent (a true talent) into mid field) so he can control a game like no other English player at the moment .. no disrespect to the other great mid fielders we have ! But Trent is a different level
Yeah, he was great against real madrid...
Love honesty from the lad. Fella gets too much hate
“ Lads, it’s Tottenham “
We need to win the prem again coz covid didn’t do it justice😂😂
You can’t expect city to falter we faltered especially that game against spurs we would have been in control of everything . The previous one to that we lost was some crucial points dropped against Leicester, that January and February month always has some dodgy results which eventually cost us two titles. It’s not about 98 points it’s about dropping the points at a crucial run in.
City also got the rub of the green by refs countless times.
Ohhhhhh ... The 👆 Iconic # 66 ..
On behalf of all Arsenal fans, thank you so much Liverpool for 2019.

They might’ve won the final, but they didn’t play like the better team. Spurs outplayed Liverpool on the night, they just weren’t clinical, and didn’t have any strokes of luck like Liverpool did with that first minute penalty decision
Suppose the Origi goal was lucky as well? ;) It was a terrible game - but Liverpool were more clinical. Spurs have only themselves to blame for giving away a needless pen
You need skill to capitalise on your luck as well
And we were by far the better side against Madrid last year, finals are finals.
a penalty decision isn't a stroke of luck
They were not outplayed. They allowed spurs to have the ball as that was their best chance of scoring. And they did not threaten the goal
