There were so many buses that used to serve Oxford street that don’t anymore - the 10 (scrapped), 23, 159, 73,between Oxford corcus and Marble Arch), 189, 13, 137
Actually cars (except minicabs and delivery vehicles) are banned from entering Oxford Street Mon-Fri during peak hours as far as I know. I am a bus driver myself and I have seen the necessary road signs.
How times were different mann! Everything went through Oxford st lol, miss these days, miss First group also. One thing I always noticed, no go-ahead route seems to ever have gone down oxford street, the closest buses that go near are 12, 453 and 22 - and oh yh the 74 briefly comes on but turns off to go marylebone, does that count? Lol
Hi. They have two doors because the routes are very busy in places and this allows passengers to leave the bus whilst others are boarding helping to speed up the journey.
@Luca The bus companies have depots where buses are stored before starting a Deadrun, which is going towards the start of a route. And there are adverts on most buses, some buses have their whole outside with ads. The groups are: Go-Ahead London, Abellio, Arriva, London United, Metroline, Metrobus. I think I missed some
How does it feel when busses try to pull out in front of you to go first or a cycle tries to pledge its way to go the way Infront as when I sometimes hear the hoot
It's awful, isn't it? It was recorded and uploaded in a strange format, (MTS), which even now still plays fine on my PC, and worked fine on here when uploaded. I think CZcams possibly doesn't like it.
I love this❤OMG! #nostalgia I miss these buses though
The good old days, long gone
One of the best times for London. A great mixture of new and old, they couldn’t have made the Routemasters documentary at a better time.
Better than today, that's for sure!

2013 was when i was born
Interesting to look back and see the difference with companies, liveries, routes and vehicles.
Indeed it is. How does this video play for you? It's very jerky for me, but it was fine when I uploaded it.
@@BristolRE Played fine Peter, watched from beginning to end.
Aaa yes, classic London I wish they kept all of these buses
Yes, all the variety has gone now
Mhm its just these ugly new buses, on my street there used to be loads of Gemini 2's (My favorite) they changed them all into ugly routemaster's now
The old buses i miss it nice video keep it up
Cheers

Yes, and one day there may be none, as I believe they still want to pedestrianise Oxford Street
And now the 73 terminates there instead of Victoria

A lot of good old buses but sadly no more.
The are lot of companies of buses, but how do they work
Huh i live in dublin ireland and most of are buses have single doors
why do most london buses have two doors?
and do they use them on most routes
How does it feel when busses try to pull out in front of you to go first or a cycle tries to pledge its way to go the way Infront as when I sometimes hear the hoot
If buses want to pull out most bus drivers will let each other go. Otherwise it's all part of the stress of driving in London
This will no longer be a thing with half of the street getting pedestrianised next year
Why is it so laggy?

Lol, his one moment of fame and he ruined it
Lagging because your camera too old
No, it was a fairly new HD Panasonic camcorder - lagging was probably due to poor editing afterwards, guess I used the wrong settings afterwards
