Make a Large Halloween Jack O Lantern đ DIY Giant Foam Pumpkin

- How to make DIY giant foam pumpkins and Halloween jack o lanterns. đ We try and answer questions of how we make these large DIY Halloween props. Were to get large blocks of foam. How to cut foam and which hand tools and foam cutting equipment we use. How to hard coat foam and make foam props hard and protected. Which kind foams we use and the steps we take to create these large Styrofoam sculptures. What sizes and shapes we try and make and how to sculpt them. Tips on containing the foam bead mess as well as several different materials you can use to coat the foam. How to carve heirloom style pumpkins and whimsical stems. How do we paint the large pumpkins and pumpkin stems. We have been posting several videos of us making these Halloween decorations over the years. Since there are so many videos with different steps and information we thought we'd help make it easier by combining clips into one episode. Kind of like an ultimate source of how we make these giant foam props. Please be sure and leave us any questions or other ideas we could do. We appreciate our time and ask you to consider sharing, giving a thumbs up, and subscribe to the channel.

Afew years ago l helped a friend who does name plates on caskets & marble mosoleum face plaques.... found out that high end caskets are often shipped in foam lined crates, so I'm sure any funeral director would be glad to have someone take the
blocky sheets away !!
Would you make two for me?
Iâll stick with my poor manâs pumpkins instead, thatâs a huge piece of styrofoam, wow! Iâm impressed. We make pumpkins with a filled plastic bag, tape, and the expanding foam from loctite
Do you have a tutorial?
@@terenarosa4790 doesn't look like it
Jen we hear ya on the expense for materials it can get crazy even buying expanding foam. We got lucky on these large blocks because we picked these scraps up from the studios for FREEEEE! can't beat that price.
Iâm open to trying this!
@@danniemikeey579 are there any pictures posted that you can show us? It would be so awesome of you did a video on making a larger spider. đđœ
Unusual project.
Great pumpkins.
Useful tips.
Thankyou for sharing.
Every blessing đ
I just had a cool idea. You guys should make a giant pumpkin snow man. That would be so awesome. đ§Ąđ€đđđ
Now yâall just need to build a giant 3-story house with a basement (outta foam) to store all those wonderful creations!đȘđ€·đ»ââïžâ€ïž
PS- I love you guys so much.
Been following and cheering for about 4 years now!đ€đđ
Yes we could definitely use a storage house for sure đ Thanks!
Awesome to watch. Thank you for sharing. My dream job/hobby for sure LOL You two are adorable and fun to watch.
Your guys videos from 5 years ago was recommended on those foam pumpkins đđđ

These look amazing!!! Wow, what a great job you both did on all the pumpkins! A tremendous amount of work, definitely a labor of love!
thumbs up just for Michael Myers. lol. Thank you!
This is my dream to make props like this. Bravo! If only I had the space to store and display it!
This video is amazing! You guys are so talented! Thank you so much for sharing!
Advanced Foam in Gardena has good pricing and quick lead time. The gun was your best recommendation ever this year. Made life so much easier - recommend ALWAYS where gloves. That stuff is a pain when it gets on the skin âŠ
Impossible to get off clothes, as well !
Thank you very much Jason that's great for comparing pricing and yes its a pain. đ€Ł
Excellent!!
I wish I could get my hands on some of those giant foam bricks
And you were right. Craigslist. Just found HUGE blocks for free in Spokane. I'm tempted....
Yay!!!!
Man now I wish I had picked up all those huge foam blocks floating on the lake from docks after storms. I will definitely be looking out for them now.
Itâs not fair that you guys get to have so much fun!!!!!!đđđđđđđđđđđ
These pumpkins are so awesome. Wish I could make one.. but for now Iâll just dream and watch you make yours! Hope youâre having a happy Halloween đ đ»đ

You guys are amazing! Those were awesome pumpkins.
I'm still a major beginner with styrofoam but once you get the steady hand you definitely see a difference. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you!!! Yes it definitely takes some trial and error but once you get past the nerves it's a lot of fun.
@@HollywoodHaunter Yes I will definitely agree.
If this is your guys full time job, this is LITERALLY THE BEST JOB OF LIFE!! I would LOVE to be able to do this for a living!
We do make props and sets for a day job. It is a lot of fun but sometimes very physically demanding đźâđš
You two are great. Love these. Thanks for sharing your amazing talents.

Wonderful presentation and tutorial. Just what I was looking for!
Wow those look awesome!
It's always a treat watching your videos. Thanks as always for sharing.
And thank you for your support and kind words â€
Your welcome. I have a question, how can I remove paint from my kitchen cabinets without damaging the wood? When I moved into my house the people before us painted and didn't do a good job and got paint on the cabinets and it looks terrible and I've been wanting to try to clean the paint off but I'm not sure what I can use and don't want to damage my cabinets, so anything you can suggest would be helpful
Can I say that I appreciate you taking time to say âeveryone might not have a disc sander or power toolsâ
I watch loads of these videos about crafting and the number of times it moves to âIâm using a belt sander hereâ or âI just pull out my plunge routerâ
Obviously there are hand made manual options. But thanks for saying it.
I'll never do this, mostly because I don't have time or storage for it, but damn if it isn't fascinating to watch your craftsmanship!
Thank you so much!
Omg I love these pumpkins. Great work. You both are unbelievable artists.â€ïž
Thank you so much!
I love the giant pumpkin! I will try to make this one next year!
What a Great Pumpkin patch you made there. Really you did an awesome job.
We get blocks of foam from our mennonite neighbors they own a pole barn company they build hundreds of barns a year in our area and are always offering us free foam sheets and blocks
That is so great! Good neighbors to have đ
The Amish are far more industrious, not like those shifty Mennonites.

Wow! This is neat! Quite a bit of work but so neat.
It is a labor of love for sure! Thanks for watching đ
You guys are so cool and creative. Such a great idea. They look awesome you guys did an amazing job. đ§Ąđ€đđđ
Make a mold after hard coating, mass produce then market. Easy money.
We do have molds, that's how we created the jack o lanterns at the end đ You may have missed that part but that's what we did for the Winchester Mystery House.
@@HollywoodHaunter gotcha, yea I checked out of the video early. Had something come up
Its a long one đ
Those look amazing!
Very cool! The uncarved ones would be great for our Singing Pumpkins animations!
Hey we will have to try that, thanks for the idea
You two Rock, very artistic, and great energy, keep up the awesome work.
Fantastic Halloween pumpkins đđđȘŠđŠ
You both totally blew my mind - Awesome â€ïž
our town's recycling center has a separate section for bringing styrofoam to recycle - of course there will be all kinds of types there, but for small pieces we can usually pick up something that works!
Those pumpkins are Awesome !!!!!!!!
Great entertaining video. Thank you ! Very interesting !
You guys are amazing! Great video
Enjoyed seeing this all put together đ
Thanks!
This would work well if you kinda make them lopsided, cause some grow laying flat on the ground and kinda look melted. I love this! Keeping this in mind for when I finally have my own place.
That's a great idea we would love to create a couple that look like that too. I think most the real big ones do look that way.
You guys are amazing!
These are incredible!!
Very impressive! Those are amazing. TFS
Great how to video. I like Ginaâs new hair cut too. đ
Thank you so much! The beginning of the video was taken back in 2016 when I had short hair. I really need to have it cut and styled again.
You two are adorable !
Iâm gonna dress as pumpkin head Dwight from the office for Halloween, thanks!
A Sleepy Hollow tree would be great!
We would love to make that. We will add it to the list thanks.
Iâve always wanted to do some Halloween diy projects but have felt so intimidated with the power tools but your tutorials are really informative and make it seems not so bad to use the tools so maybe I might take the plunge and just try it out.
Oh wow dis looks really good you guys should definitely make these to sell, cause I'd buy one from you'all
You always do amazing work. I love how realistic the foam pumpkins look. Happy Halloween!
Absolutely beautiful
Theses are great!!!
Absolutely amazing work

Honestly, I'd love to work with you guys if I ever moved to LA. What a fun way to make a living!!!
I LOVE THIS!!! I am doing this for Halloween this year. Not as large though.
Love you guys. Our family resemble yours except Iâm a power tool for everything person and my husband likes doing everything by hand and the kids always appearing to help đ€Ł
Brilliant and beautiful đđ„°
đ awesome. I mostly make papier mache pumpkins, but if I ever find some foam Im going to try to make a pumpkin. Thank you as always both of you are my inspiration. I always enjoy your videos.
And you make awesome paper mache! It would be neat to see what you do with the foam ones.

How do you make them waterproof?
@@jendubay3782 coat with clear varnish, but I live in Az not much rain. We have a dragon that stays out all year but bring him in if it rains.

Woo Hoo!!!
Absolutely fantastic! You both did a wonderful job creating these JOL pumpkins. I enjoyed watching the process!
Thank you so much!
Great looking jack o lanterns I will have to try my own this year
You should!
Just subbed, and smashed like on this video. I am in awe, about to ask if you sell these they are awesome, but I was thinking other than turning it into a dog house when it's not the season for such, there would be no where to store it. Though one day I hope to have a nice faux garden scene on my property. I can see a need in my future. I know it would sure turn heads if I needed something to grab peeps attention. Awesome you are guys are so talented. Glad I found the chanel.
Fun to watch
A lot of work but well worth it. You guys make those pumpkins look so real :
Great video once again beautiful pieces you guys have created. đ
Thanks!
First time viewer. What do you do with them, sell them? If for your self, you must have a ton of storage space. Very interesting and they turned out amazing! đ đ
Hi! We made these to display but also have been selling them and making custom orders. We would love to have a bunch one year for a halloween display đ
@@HollywoodHaunter thank you so much for your reply. May i ask the price?
Another idea for you guys. Make a giant pinecone and acorn to go with your giant pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns. That would be a pretty cool display. đ§Ąđ€đđđ
So cool!
Have you ever thought of creating a vacuum table... A pegboard top with a catch chamber below with a larger shop vac connected in the side of the collection box below. Might save on the cleanup!
You two always make amazing props. You guys are so talented and knowledgeable đđŒđ
Wow!!! Loved this!!!! At Hobby Lobby the fake huge pumpkins r sooo expensive. I didn't know Styrofoam was so expensive. Guess its like everything else.... inflation lol.
Love love love, I love Halloween I just wish I had your talents. Would love to see you do a 12-ft foam skeleton like the ones home Depot sold. I know it would be quite a task but I know you guys could do it. đâ€ïž
That would be a fun project and a great idea
Those are a lot of work but the results speak for themselves! Just beautiful!
Thank you!
This is creativity at its best!
