Definitely appreciate that you made this. Pretty much the exact sort of video I was looking for concerning the 2023 Macan GTS. For sure, it's not as raw as the Alpha, but it's better built and the dealer network is going to be there. My opinion and also from other vids I've seen where this car is pitted against the AR and the Mercedes GLC AMG on the track, it beat them by actual seconds. But yes - the general consensus I've been seeing is that it's very refined, but not dead or numb as far as road feedback. It's something you can easily live with on the daily, but still have a ton of fun with. I'm super curious to know what you thought - other than what I heard in the video.
Well for one, this did not have remote start and if you live some place where its cold then thats kind of a big deal. I thought that this was very refined and great to drive. It felt powerful and sounds very good. I think you are right that this is very well built and the dealer network is there. I think the interior is great along with the infotainment system. However, I like the Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio more. The Alfa was just much more fun to drive and hear. The driving and sound aspect made up for its flaw. I felt that the Porsche just didn't give me the same excitement. I have a video of me driving the Stelvio and I honestly liked the CT5-V better than driving this Porsche.
@@DaMaster25 Oh - well yes. The CT5-V is in a different class for sure. Probably not practical as a daily driver though I would suspect. I have to consider both - fun/fast/handling and practicality; I guess "both" wasn't the right word (LOL). I'm having a bit of analysis paralysis. The Macan GTS hopefully is fun for the long haul. I'll check out your vid with the Alpha. I was also considering the Audi RS5 sportback, but there are too many compromises with it compared to the Macan. It just seems like the Macan does A LOT of things well. I'm coming from a 2020 nicely optioned Ford F-250 diesel since we are done having to tow our entire life from gig to gig with travel nursing and have settled in the Bay Area at a hospital with dream jobs.
@@ziggy149 I currently own a 2022 Stelvio Ti (4cyl Turbo) and its great....but my wife said i could get a sports car, but i didn't want something unless i could fit the family. So we started looking at the Quadrifoglio, Porsche, Audi, and F-Pace SVR. I haven't driven the Jaguar, but that's a 5.0l V8 Supercharged. I would highly recommend the the Stelvio (4cyl Turbo...video coming soon) simply because they are nice, clean, stylish, and the interest rate they are offering is 1.9% on 72months. Since your in the Bay Area go see my buddy George at the San Jose Alfa Romeo (Autonation) and he can hook you up. Also check out the Maserati Levante Trofeo and the MC20 he has on the show room floor. Lastly, there is a dealer in LA (Russell Westbrook Alfa Romeo) offering killer deals on the Quadrifoglio.
@@DaMaster25 Interesting. I love it in the green for sure. The reliability factor would make me nervous. It sounds absolutely beautiful though. I have to imagine it’s simply beastly to experience in person
@@ziggy149 I feel in love with the power, speed, sound and feeling i got when i drove the quad. Videos dont do it justice!!! Check one out for yourself and im sure you will be posting back here it was AMAZING!!!
Macan all the way, have had mine for 9 mths and love it! Did he switch to sport plus? Also put stabilization off or in sport. Sport plus will lower the car with the Air-suspension, so it handles the best! And the sport and sport plus modes automatically kick in sports exhaust! Sport plus mode you also get backfire noises!
Thanks for the Comment. I was in Sport Plus with the Exhaust open. I realized this was a brand new car and its not technically "broken in" yet and that's probably this doesn't sound like yours.
Exhaust button opens up the cylinders more? Lmao I think he was nervous because that doesn’t make any sense
He hopefully meant to say valves
That salesperson was just there for the ride lmao
Now that’s how a salesperson sell a car no complaints about drive fast
That sales person must have just started that day. "open up the cylinders"
it might seem quiet instead , but from the back it is Hell unleashed!.
Got one on a boat right now, early December!!
Congratulations
Was this Porsche Livermore? Haha, I recognize the back road
yessir! it was!
Nice test drive, was the color Copper Ruby?
Yes it was! Very nice color in the sun!
@@DaMaster25 thanks! I think that’s the color I’m going to go with. Should be fairly rare (at least for now).
Nice gearing

I have a 2023 Macan S and the exhaust makes way more pops and crackles than this GTS, maybe you were in the wrong setting.

@@DaMaster25 pops and crackles appear only in "Sport", not in "Sport +".
@@supee7541 I would have thought it would have appeared in both modes honestly.
@@DaMaster25 German logic.
Entirely wrong, in Sports Plus, Sport exhaust makes more noise! It’s in the manual.
