Looks like scanner is no longer available. Do you know what model it is?

I believe this is the best way to get started in the hobby and understand how everything works without risking too much capital. Great video!
Definitely a good way to start out! Thanks for watching
One thing to add to this is, you must list a few things at least everyday. I have noticed when I do list I get more traffic and sells. When I go a few days or a week even my sells drop off! Very good video, I think investing in a feed type document scanner may increase your efficiency as well!
I agree with everything you said except about the amount of money you can make. If you put in the time an effort you can absolutely make as much as a full time job. Now obviously everyone’s opinion of the amount of money you make with a full time job will be different. For example I’m sure a lot your subscribers are making $400-$600 a week and that’s 40 hours a week. You can most certainly make that especially if they use the exact steps that you showed with the scanner, the listing the card from someone else’s listing and investing in a label printer which all save a huge amount of time. Great Video! 🤙
Hey, just another tip on the ebay envelope, is that it includes tracking so instead of getting refund requests for low dollar cards that don't arrive, as long as you ship it, it goes on the post office if they lose it.
thanks for the content! I have tons of cards and wasn’t sure how to get started. Just subbed my man!
Very informative I’ve had my eBay card shop going for 2 months now and only sold 20 cards in that time period hopefully I can sell enough for the scanner 🤞🏻
Nice watch. I actually do everything you mentioned with the exception of scanner and label maker. Thx for the links.
Great video! Here’s a bonus tip. . .don’t bother printing your label on a label maker, print it directly on the envelope. Most printers have an “envelope” setting so you can just print direct to the envelope.
Halfway through the video and I want to say that this is a fantastic video. Lots of great advice and I never would have thought of using a scanner!
Love the idea of Scanning. Hadnt thought of that yet. As well as your thoughts on shipping methods.
Great video man!! One of my favorite content creators in the sports card hobby!! Keep doing what you're doing dropping knowledge 👏
One thing I also do is finding a Template for the description of the ebay ad, it makes it a lot cleaner and professional looking.
Every other weekend I go to card shows and pick up a bunch of stuff from quarter, 50 cent, dollar boxes etc and list them on eBay in bulk. Nobody is going to get rich but I get an extra $50-100 a month to spend on food or something for not really doing too much
thanks for this great video! I recently stumbled on my hockey card collection that has hundreds of cards in it 😅😂 definitely don't need to keep all these cards so this was super informative on how to get into selling the lower end cards...appreciate it!
Great video. We’ve collected Pokémon cards for a few years and just moving in to Sports cards. We have a lot of lower end cards just say there that aren’t wanted. Just struggle to find the time to get round to starting to list them.
We deffo need to just bite the bullet and start.
A couple of quick questions. 1 - How do you prevent getting a glare with the scanner? 2- How do you fit that big label on a standard envelope?
Great video! I used to collect in the 90s and just got back in the game with my kids. I’m gonna use your tips for selling because I have an abundance of cards from back in the day and some of them are worth some $$$ but overall I love the hobby and look forward to all the great finds
Like your realistic and truthful take on this!
Awesome vid man. Very informative and to the point with real life examples. Keep up the great work!!!
Excellent video!! I love buying player lots and piecing them off individually.. as for shipping, thank goodness for the blue usps boxes around town! I’m lucky to have one about 2 mins from my house and I use that about every day which saves so much time and miles. Take care! ✌️
Love the part about listing. Great stuff.
Definitely great tips, I always do well with mid-grade cards.
Great informative video! I gotta try this, i need to tweak my methods, this is very helpful, thank you!
Hey guys! Hope you enjoy the video. Once again just want to emphasize, this is not a "get rich quick" or "easy money" method.
There's risk and even with the tips this will take up a good amount of time, but I do think if you're willing to put in the work you can have some success.
I'm really impressed with this video and your videos in general. Thanks so much for making things easy to understand. As a newer card seller this is exactly the kind of info I needed. Cheers.
How new are you to card selling and how is it going ? I'm looking to move my side hustle to this niche but curious about the process
@@ffbuddyguy8159 I think you were talking to me, so if you weren't sorry I just thought I'd answer. I'm very new to card selling. Got in this June after I saw a lot of people trying to sell and I LOVE a down market. Only problem was that I haven't really looked at cards since 1992. lol. It's going ok, I got burned a few times buying junk wax, which is what I had in my garage anyway, so I just have more of it now. I would say this channel was really good because it didn't talk only about million dollar cards, it covered the basics. I probably list about 50-100 cards a day and it's super fast. I know some people buy scanners to speed up the process, I'm not buying enough to make that make sense. My goal is to only buy cards with card profits. I didn't start like that, I probably put in a $1000 because like I said I only had junk wax. The cliche is true though, go with what you enjoy. I'll stop here because I can go on forever. To answers your question though, it's going well, I'm basically breaking even right now but growing slowly. 1. Pick your card niche. 2. Buy a thermal printer as soon as you can as it will save on ink and printer paper in the long run. 3. Pick your place to sell, I like eBay, but there are many places. 4. Set a budget for buying. 5. Do some research. Compare eBay prices to wherever else you may be buying from, this will give you an idea of how cheaply you can buy for. I sell more than just cards, the money is usually made when you buy. 6. Visit a card shop/card show (I'm still yet to go to a show myself!!!) Use the research you did earlier on eBay to see what they sell things for. 7. Enjoy yourself and take everything you see and hear with a grain of salt. Everything I do seems to adjust daily because I'm so new, so I'm sure others will have more knowledge than I do, so make some contacts and talk to people. Good luck and have fun!
@@ResellerNiche I was asking you ! :)
Thanks this is exactly what I wanted see. I'm in about the same boat as I stopped collecting around the same time and I'm out of the loop.
Appreciate this video, very informative and helpful! Keep up the great work!
Thanks man been wanting to sell some of my cards.
I've liked your video from the very instance I first seen one. A method to help a nice collection grow even better! Thanks 👍 man
Really appreciate that! Glad you enjoyed
Thanks for the knowledge. I need that.
Hey man, I’m a big fan of this video and your content and I was wondering if I could make a similar type video of flipping low end through eBay. With credits of course.
Been selling Disney cards Disney with coin cards ,movie poster cards .Lots of cards from the 1990s . Fantasy cards it's a great hobby.
Thank you for sharing this Troy. 🙏
Great video! keep it up! whats the name of the laser printer you use?
Great video Troy! Recently I have been going to my local card shop and going through the $1, $5, and $10 boxes and I have flipped them for so much more than how much I got them for. I definitely recommend trying this for new collectors and even people that have been collecting for a very long time. I got a 2019 Topps Chrome Sapphire Kyle Tucker for $5 and sold for $100!!
Any tips on what cards to look out for ? Just started
Where do u sell it?
Yep. I do this as well at my local card shop. They have so many cards that they basically just wholesale them. I found a bunch of 1988 coca cola Micheal Jordan for $1. I bought about 15 of them. I seen those sell $10 and more. I have invested in a lot of $1, $5, even $10 and they're selling for more than triple the price. The best way to sell is do it in bulks. Make sure it's players people recognize. Do like a 10 or 15 card lot for $30. I bought about $600 worth of Willie Mays, Hank Aaron, Mickey mantle, Bob clemente.etc for $30 and another $800 worth of cards for $50. Each . All together I had about 130 cards. Lot of cards were worth $30-$40 bucks each. Some were going for $200-$300. I thought they were fake because "who's gon sell these Hall of famers from the 50s and 60s for less than $100 but sometimes you find guys who just sell them really cheap
@@K-xb2qz Awesome!
love the instructional video!! only qualm I have is the way you're showing people how to ship. Using a top loader in an envelop is the WORST way to send a card. First off, the post office sends them thru a machine, ive seen too many instances where the card was eaten up and permanantly bent because of that. bubble mailers with proper protection is the way to go. If you HAVE to cut those shipping costs, use CARD SAVERS not TOP LOADERS....either way your spending money, but card savers dont have rigid siding, so they go thru the machines better.
I had to subscribe because good info for the hobby 🌊🌊🌊🤙🏾
Penny sleeve the card, card saver (sometimes top loaded cards USPS kicks back), put in team bag, put in a Thank You card where you can buy 10 for $1.25 at the Dollar Tree.
Love the video! A few questions: do you mail them in a regular envelope with the card in a top loader? I think you said you also put them in team bags. Could you send me a link to what those are. I’m new here. Thanks again!
Nice video Troy. I think it is solid and helpful advice.
Very helpful tips thank you!!
Another excellent vid, Troy! Thanx! Always learning from you!!
Really appreciate that!
In my area of the UK we don't really have local card shops, feel like we're really missing out on the $1 box experience!
Cool video...delly sells well as he's an Aussie. Always worth grabbing autos of players from obscure countries, they always gonna have fans.
appreciate that honesty
QUESTION ----->. if you are just sending them out in a standard envelope...... how to you deal with "SHADY BUYERS". that claim I DIDNT RECEIVE MY ITEM?
Thank you for this video I use to do this and kinda stopped due to focusing on one sport but well definitely get back into doing this again guys this really does work if you find the right cards
Of course! I'm glad you had success with this too
Very Helpful video!!
Do you have a link for the label maker by any chance love the video very informative 🔥😁
great video.... for cheaper cards, do you recommend 1 dollar starting bid auctions and/or (say) 3-5 dollar buy it now prices?
Bro! You giving out all the secrets!! 😉
I usually send my lower priced raw cards to COMC but that platform has been dead this year so I may add them to eBay instead where I already list my graded cards. Good tip on scanning four cards at once.
Good video, Great information.
Great info thanks. Nd shout out Wake Forest CP3 !!
Awesome video thanx for the knowledge. I just have a couple questions. Do you, use international shipping? Cuz I have a lot of soccer cards as well and figure they’d sell faster with an international fan base? Also how many raw cards can fit into the standard envelope shipping without issues?
Thank you mate. I have HUNDREDS of singles to sell of Top Prospects and am at the point where Im completely swamped. I also got so sick of having to type in the info for a new listing w the card info etc. This is going to ramp up my sales. Thank you sir!
Me too man I just want to casually sell my cards I don’t need . Not flipper
Which brand team bags do you use? Those look nice since they fit the single toploaded card snug
Hello! Are you able to link the clear sleeve packaging that you display in your video at 9:42? Would really appreciate it! Showing the customer that you’re going above and beyond is so true! Awesome video!
I would also like to which ones those are
Awesome vid man.
Do you start your auctions at $1 to ensure buyers or closer to final sales?
is it better to do bids? or set prices?
Great vid!!! Any insight as to why ebay is charging over 13% per sale and not 5%?
Is there a video on how to use the v600 to scan cards? I have one but cant seem to figure out the silverfast software lol
lots of free game & keys 🔑 in this video !
What software or what scanner set up do you use so you don’t have to crop each card after you scan it?
Where is the link to that label printer. I have been thinking about getting one of those.
how much does ebay take from a buy now sale opposed to an auction? Thx, great vid.
Can you explain why you do $2.99 shipping. Do you use eBay standard envelopes? Do you explain like a shipping policy. If so what is it. Thanks a ton in advance !!
where do you ship it? just a USPS public mail box or...?
The part that confused me was when you said you use the scanner to take pictures of four cards at a time, and there is no cropping. Well, if there are four cards per scan, wouldn’t you need to crop that photo to sell as individual listings?
Any problems choosing the 99cents shipping method with not having tracking available?
How did you make you eBay standard envelope the perfect size for the thermal printer. I don’t know what to do. How do you turn the label sideways?
How bout printing directly onto the envelope like with any ink jet printer? No one ever talks about that. Every printer has an envelope slot. Just in ur printer settings set the size of the envelope a d the label prints directly onto it.
I have an Epson 600 as well, how on earth did you get your photos split with one scan? I get 4 on one image. Keep up the good work!
Yea that’s exactly what I was wondering lol
If you get Windows Fax and Scan there is a preview mode that you can enable that will highlight the borders of the top loaders of all 4 cards. You then click scan again and it will do all 4 on 1 click.
how do you split the pics, i have an epson printer/scanner. will that work? also, if i give you my link to my e bay store, can you look at it and tell me what im doing wrong? im not making a career out of this, just selling my collection off, but i have sent some cards to be graded, so I havent listed anything in a while because i work and go to school.
Great video. Thanks
Glad you enjoyed! Thanks for watching
The Delly auto would sell for tons here in Australia 😂
I forsure thought about you when I bought it lol, big time Australia card
Thanks a lot
Dude you’ve earned my sub you really are out here grinding like us small time card sellers lol
Where do you get the envelopes and you still have to drop it off at the post office right?
How do you automatically get 4 files when you scan? Is it a specific feature on this scanner or is there a way to set it up with any scanner? Thanks
what do you do when you end up hitting a dead spot and not selling cards? I have a ton of cards listed and, in my inventory, but im struggling to sell even 1 per day.
Great informative video, How does your scanner automatically give you 4 cropped images? I gave a Canon CanoScan 9000F and only get i image at a time. Thanks, Mike
Was wondering the same thing. One scan seems like it would equal one image. 🤷🏼♂️
cool video man!
Thank you!
The biggest question I have is how do I get my listings seen. Especially because some cheaper cards will be less sought out so how can I get them sold as efficiently as possible?
Unfortunatelly it is almost impossible from europe... there are not card shows, expensive shipping to and from US etc...
How do you know what cards are valuable, I see lots of refractor shiny cards, numbered cards how do you know which one to “collect”
When I print out my labels they print really small I’m still able to ship out my order but how did you get yours so big
If I'm from the Philippines, would you recommend selling on Ebay?
Do you have a video showing how to get 4 individual jpg files cropped from 1 scan with Epson v600? Can you do 6,8,10 at a time??
Shop good will has some cool buys too
Do you feel like the 12% fee Ebay charges is too high for what they provide?
is that a wake forest shirt?
You are setting BUY IT NOW or using auction at 99cents???
I buy and sell this stuff all the time, fun hobby, make a few bucks, build a collection. Capitalism, business, and fun all at the same time. Good luck buyers and sellers, keep the market alive!!!
Are you able to get the scans on your phone?
Do you auction or list buy now?
Thank u man, as a 12 year old I made $270 selling small cards in 1 month!
I have a show tomorrow i jave 50 isa slabs each card is worth 20 to 30 bucks. Do u think any dealer would take these for money to spend at their store. Cards are cheap bit liquid. Tom brady steph curry lebron michael jordan etc...wpuld a dealer do this or would i be wasting my time?
do you have auto crop on the scanner? is that a setting you have to activate?
I got an epson v600 and it used to auto crop, but after i cleaned my PC its not working anymore 😢
